  1. For some reason I thought this was confirmed, but now I can't recall where it would have been. Maybe just because the Highspren look like veils of stars.
  2. Well if Jasnah is ever secretly following him... "You cannot fast travel when enemies are nearby"
  3. It also seemed to me that Amaram's Shardplate actually hindered him in this fight. Seemed like it slowed the transition down as his new limbs and crystal protrusions had to break through the Plate. He couldn't surgebind the ground until his feet were bare. Perhaps without Plate, the transformation is faster and we see the true awesome power of Yelig-Nar.
  4. She used a fabrial for Regrowth
  5. For what it's worth, the Coppermind page for Braize says that "scenes from The Stormlight Archive will be set on Braize." https://coppermind.net/wiki/Braize
  6. When Renarin hugs Dalinar in the flashback. When Teft is in a shame spiral but then speaks the Words. When Dalinar stands up and Evi forgives him. All 3 moments wrecked me.
  7. At this point, the original Oathpact has essentially failed. I think a new strategy is needed to defeat Odium. So while it is certainly possible, perhaps even likely, that our heroes will spend some time on Braize, I do not think it will be because they have replaced the Heralds in a new Oathpact. Perhaps they could take the fight directly to Odium, or embark on a mission to disrupt the mechanism by which the Fused return indefinitely. edit: ninja'd by RShara!
  8. I hadn't mixed them up, I honestly thought Lopen had accepted the loss of his arm. Your point about Hobber makes sense, thanks! Thanks for the WOB on this! I'm in agreement then - Rysn is likely not getting back the use of her legs.
  9. Surely Lopen viewed himself as one-armed, yet he was able to regrow his arm. Hobber had been paralyzed for likely a similar amount of time to Rysn and seemed resigned to his fate before healing. Then there's the counter example of Kal's brands remaining. I'm not sure how to reconcile these.
  10. The black smoke was 100% Yelig-Nar. Odium mentions that the Queen was unable to handle his possession. The epigraphs also mention that he had access to all surges and we see Amaram use multiple surges, and that he transforms a host after they swallow a gemstone. I don't think there can be any doubt that the black smoke near Odium was Yelig-Nar.
  11. Renarin + Malata = Renata Renata is a real name. Ship confirmed.
  12. Spoiler tag just in case
  13. Every scene with Sylphrena. I adore her. Voidbinding Answers about the Heralds, Desolations, and the details of the Oathpact. All the new questions that will be raised.
  14. Well if it's a question of spren, I assume Axies would know best...
  15. I would hesitate to brush with such a broad stroke when describing spren. As I understand it, "spren" is merely the local word for a Splinter and although they come in a vast array of shapes and sizes, they are fundamentally the same thing. The reason for my hesitation is that there are other beings in the Cosmere, such as the Heralds, which are Cognitive Shadows. In my understanding, referring to Cognitive Shadows as spren would be incorrect.
  16. @Ralph Elorim I have nothing of substance to add I just want to say I absolutely love your username. +1
  17. Thanks for the answers. I thought she had returned to the PR somewhere in the east but couldn't remember specifically. Also, good to know there's that WOB on squires. and yes... I will be so bummed if we don't get Hoid at Urithiru!
  18. 1. Where exactly is she coming from? I did not picture her traveling from the west, so I think picking up Lift along the way seems unlikely. 2. Aren't squires just a Windrunner thing? Perhaps she's picked up some other proto-Radiants, but squires in the Windrunner sense seems unlikely as well. 3. I certainly hope Hoid is with her, but we know that Wit has a tendency to come and go as he pleases...
  19. I love this idea. I can picture the KR determining where the enemy is located and the Windrunners summoning a Highstorm, barreling down on the forces of Odium like the cavalry.
  20. Since he was flying, I think he probably used Lyft, not Uber
  21. Pieces of this idea were mentioned throughout this thread, but I haven't seen it as concise as it is in my mind... We got another mention of the Urithiru ductwork as well as an introduction to the Urithiru dilithium warp drive. I'm guessing that this ductwork not only provides ventilation to the occupied sections of the tower, but also allows Highstorms to penetrate deep into the bowels of the structure, supplying the giant Radiant Battery with massive amounts of Stormlight, which can then (as has been mentioned by a few Sharders in this thread and others) be transmitted throughout Urithiru via the enigmatic strata.
  22. Kelek and Jezrien were in the Prologue of WOK, where they abandoned their Honorblades. Nale is "Darkness", who has been tracking down surgebinders. Most assume that it was Kelek with him the night Gavilar was assassinated. I believe it has been confirmed that Palliah was the ardent seen in the library in Karbranth. Shalash is Baxil's Mistress.
  23. My money is on Nale being one of them. The other, perhaps Kelek, Taln, or Jezrien. They've all received screen time (assuming Taln = Taln and Ishar = Tezim, who hasn't received screen time but has been referenced several times). edit: forgot about Palliah
