  1. Ya, Ix is probably the best character in the whole book. While I can certainly see the resemblance between him and Human, I like Ix much more. "As a human I am scared for my friend Voko. Is that not what humans say?" or something like that
  2. Never played the game, because I dont own an ipod or ipad, or smart phone of that sort. I liked the story, and would buy another one, but my issue is that I dont want to spend the money on a game like that which because it is for an smart phone probably isnt the highest quality, when I have skyrim and starcraft2.
  3. If Alendi was one of the original mistings, it is likely that he was more powerful than a modern misting or mistborn in the time of the final empire. Also he could easily have become a savant, but it does seem likely that he had some sort of spike to be influenced by Ruin.
  4. Life before Death, Strength before Weakness, Journey before Destination.
  5. I never even noticed.
  6. Adds are fine as long as they are not video files which automatically start playing, or stupid ones like click here to play, with a character hopping around the screen
  7. What up gangstaz
  8. I fail to see why one would not be able to use a Hemalurgic spike to steal Breath. The very basis of Endowment's magic system is that one has to give their breath up in order for another person to get it. Hemalurgy corrupts magic systems and makes them work agains the way that they were designed. Hemalurgy steals the power of Preservation on Scadrial, and allows them to use allomantic abilities, in this defeating the element of preservation in which it must preserve the power in a human. Like in Endowment's magic system it works by freely giving your Breath to another person. Hemalurgy goes against what is fundamentally right in every magic system, changes it, abet with a net loss.
  9. While you are all reading AoL, I am writing a 10 page research paper due tomorrow at 11. I have 1 page. FML
  10. the worst part of the week.
  11. I think that we can safely assume that Hoid was at the shattering of Adonalsium
  12. I dont see why it couldnt be an Elantrian. He could have just brought a large amount of clothing to Scadrial with him while he was there. That way he would not need to go back to Elantris to change disguises, if he put a different face on each piece of his clothing.
  13. Odd side note, but the writer does not seem to know that Marsh still is alive. And seems to have discovered a way either to see Kandra when they have eaten a body, or has found some renegade ones, which he discovered. Kandra dont seem to be that well known among the general population.
  14. When the author of the Ars Arcanum says that Hemalurgy is interesting and has possibilites, he seems to imply that it could be used to steal other powers. My issue with this is, that would it have to be a person with the spiritual DNA from Scadrial? Or could it be any place that Ruin has been. It seems insane that Ruin's magic system could work throughout the entire Cosmere, but that is why I feel like it might. It is the power of change and change is always happening. However if this was going to be the case, would Hemalurgy have to have a different focus on each planet or would metal work on all of them. So far it is the only power that we have come across that is not bound by a person's spiritualDNA. On a side note, I feel like Hemalurgy could steal the spiritual DNA that allowed a person to use Breath, attract an Honor Spren, or possibly even become an Elantrian if the correct DNA was stolen, and you had Sazed or maybe Marsh to show you the bind points. Also is there any reason that Bloody Tan could not have seen the real Kelsier? He was hanging around, and though Sazed was not able to reach out and get Vin and Elend, Kel seemed to be much more accessible. Crap i am really off topic.
  15. get a sign and put it above your tent. Or start selling t-shirts.
  16. I can't picture Vin without her allomantic abilities.
  17. O THE DISTRESS SHOULD I LOOK? i dont get to read it until Thanksgiving.
  18. I thought that it was they retain their Kkell power, but the power passes through the father's line, however the power that the child receives depends on whether it is male or female.
  19. I always got the sense that the Heralds were being tortured by Odium somewhere in between the three realms, or maybe in his personal hell in the Cognitive. Would be interesting if that is where Szeth's powers came from, the only issue is that he does not have the proper spiritual DNA to do it, unless he is the offspring of a worldhopper from Silence Divine.
  20. My only issue is that not all the splinters of Honor might be such nice things. Honorable people can do terrible things, in fact Szeth, a murdering lunatic, has honor in his own way. It might be a perverted form of honor, but he at least considers himself honorable.
  21. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B001JDPYRQ/ref=dp_image_0?ie=UTF8&n=283155&s=audible Kind of scares me.
  22. I am confused, If what you say is the case Zas then the only time that a Shard could choose a champion was when its owner was dead, and the Champion could burn the Shard's power. I think that a champion has to be a person that the Shard chooses to invest its power into. It doesnt make sense if the champion has to be able to use the power without the Shardholder present. A little off topic, but how do you think that Kelsier factors into the discussion of champions. He took up Preservation for a short time, and though he was not being groomed to take up Preservation's power like Vin, it could be argued that he was the Champion of Ruin during the rebellion, fighting to change the Lord Ruler's Final Empire.
  23. im in the same boat
  24. A champion is risky. Odium is certain to pour his power into him or her, but there is not mind behind Honor to put power into him. Granted it happened to Vin without a mind, but she had been chosen as the champion from before her birth, and was slated to become the next Preservation. If you choose the wrong champion, it could end badly.
  25. There are 16 types of allomancers, 1 type of mistborn, just like there are 16 feruchemical powers and 1 feruchemist. Just like there are 16 Shards and 1 Adonalsium
