  1. It will definitely be fun, but I dont know if I will be able to take the stress of having to wait a week or so between chapters.
  2. I thought that Jesker had something to do with Jesks from The Liar of Partinel.
  3. Sanderson has ruined some fantasy for me, but I still enjoy Rothfuss. GRRM not so much as before. Abercrombie didnt really ever like. Only series that I have really enjoyed besides Sanderson from the last 5 years is the Witcher.
  4. Dont know if anyone found this one yet, but page 822 in the Hard cover edition, end of the fourth paragraph. It is in chapter 69 just after Kaladin and Shallan meet in the chasms. She had no idea how she'd saved herself, let alone him. Pattern rode on her skirts, and before she'd found the bridgeman, he'd been speculating that the Stormlight had kept her alive. I think the "he'd" is supposed to be a "she'd" because Shallan does not know that Kaladin can use Stormlight.
  5. I shed a tear when I realized that Nightblood was in the book. I spent the next 15 minutes trying to figure out who and where Vasher was, then it dawned on me and I was pumped.
  6. Holy rust awesomeness boner right now. If this was legit I would be so happy.
  7. I thought that the Nightwatcher does not give you what you ask for, but instead gives you what you deserve or whatever She/it feels like giving you.
  8. The general consensus is that Wit/Hoid swapped Taln's Honorblade with a regular Shardblade at the end of Book1. The descriptions of both of the blades no not match up.
  9. I would have to imagine that dual wielding something like a Shardblade would be possible because you don't have to swing it that hard and because Kaladin would have the strength to do so because of Stormlight. I thought that dual wielding is impossible because swords are too heavy to properly use with your offhand.
  10. I get what you are saying, but it seems like there should be some things that every Shard is able to do. Clearly Brandon is not one to reuse the same idea in such a large role in multiple books, but it seems like such a potent tool that Odium would be foolish not to take advantage of it; if it were possible. The Diagram would be the perfect target. It is so large and convoluted that a few extra lines would never be noticed, especially when Mr. T writes over himself. Do you think a potential twist on this could be that parts of it were immediately changed so that they never actually got the true version instead of it being corrupted over time? It obviously could not have been on that day of pure genius or Mr. T would have noticed. However the next day before everything was recorded seems like it could work. When it is said that Odium is on Braize I take that as meaning that is the location of his body/power, and his mind is free to move small distances away from it. Also I've been thinking of the timetable. Since we do know know when the Diagram was first made, Odium could have had time to move back and forth after modifying it.
  11. I would love to see that fight, Zahel and Szeth with eachother's former weapons
  12. Shards can change people's writing. Is there any reason that Odium could not have changed the Diagram so that Mr. T is now doing his work instead?
  13. Well seeing as there are only 2 out of the 10 books released and Brandon does not expect to have Book 6 finished until 2025, I highly doubt tha there will be a tv show or movie in the near future.
  14. Zahel is Vasher. Also Hoid is a Feruchemist and potentially an Allomancer. What else specifically are you trying to figure out?
  15. I don't have an issue with the killing, but throwing away the Shardbalde was a mistake. If someone finds that it will be obvious that it was an assassination. If he took the blade but never summoned it, no one would ever know what happened. That being said mind set in which he did it is probably not the best for his log term health, especially there is a thing called Odium hanging around.
  16. A regular inquisitor would have no chance, but Marsh would stomp. Compounding is more than a Windrunner could handle. Duralumin is a trump card that Windrunners would not be able to match even if they had Shardplate. Wax blew apart an entire steel tower and he only has one allomantic and feruchemic power.
  17. I've been wondering about this for the last few days, and since no one has posted about it I figure I should. I think that a major plot point in the next book or next two books will be the Shin stone shamans attempting to regain the Honorblades from Kaladin. His exsistance as a Radiant is in direct conflict with their belief that Szeth was wrong and as punishment had to be made Truthless, so I can't imagine that they will be too happy to see him. That being said I don't know how they expect to take it from him short of an all out attack from multiple Honorblades. Even then, I suspect that the Honorblade will increase Kaladin's natural surge binding talents like Hemalurgy can increase an allomancer's abilities. Either way by the end of WoR everyone who is interested knows that the Assassin in White has been defeated, so the stone shamans are probably making for Kaladin This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules all haste. This battle will most likely erupt around Hearthstone because that seems like the next place where Kaladin is going to touch the ground. However Szeth and Nightblood are also comming for the stone shamans and when they get there I don't expect many survivors.
  18. No, there has been speculation that it might have been one of his hideouts, because there were numerous objects from different worlds there, but no one really knows.
  19. I think that the intent is what matters. When Kaladin said his third oath, it did not sound particularly graceful. Shallan has to speak truths, her truths are going to be different from the other Lightweavers, but will accomplish the same purpose. I don't see any reason why Kaladin's oaths would be any different.
  20. kaladin, parents, 2.0, roshone, is, very, bad, child, toucher Well according to the tags at the bottom of the thread these words describe this thread. Somewhat accurate, because Laral was only a child. As a Shardbearer Kaladin is now a lighteyes and of the 4th Dahn, not to say anything about his being a KR When he shows up back at Hearthstone Roshone, just like Amaram wont recognize him. However he is going to assume that Kaladin is on a mission from Dalinar due to the military uniform, the insignia of Dalinar's personal guard, and his light eyes.
  21. The Kaladin, Adolin, Shallan thing sort of reminds me of the Honor, Cultivation, Odium relationship. Honor and Cultivation where lovers and someone mentioned that Rayse/Odium was jealous of the fact.
  22. In an ideal world, I would look for the new KR to bond the dead shardblades, but never use them. Keep them hidden away as a reminder of what will happen if they forsake their Oaths. However that does not seem like it is going to happen, so I would look for them to start trying to phase them out if possible.
  23. He was in the Cognitive realm when he took control over Preservation, so i would expect he is still there. http://www.theoryland.com/intvsresults.php?kwt=%27kelsier%27#2
  24. Why post a link where you have to pay for it. Seems kind of sketchy.
  25. Im confused, I thought that the Ghostbloods and the Skybreakers might be somehow related. Mraize says to Shallan that her brother sought out the Skybreakers, but he is working for the Ghostbloods. Anyone clear me up?
