  1. I wouldn’t mind a PM with Kas. We could use it to grouch at each other until I get the GM PM for the MR. Hey! Listen! I have no idea what’s going on with the roles, but we probably should start thinking a small bit about consolidating votes. It’s late here, but I’m likely going to switch tomorrow to someone that already has a vote.
  2. Everyone that isn't Link or Zelda should roleclaim immediately That certainly won't cause any problems. And I guess, since it's not happening in PMs, it doesn't even violate PM Safety! My role is: Satori: The reclusive Lord of the Mountain is the fastest mount in Hyrule. Any player that targets Satori will go for a wild ride instead of their normal action. Satori wins the game and is removed if 6 players are roleblocked in this fashion.
  3. “Hey! Listen! I saw Faleast change shape! Maybe he’s a Yiga.” I agree that Beedle is probably village, but I think you could also build an elim team specifically around him being evil as well. Striker doesn’t have a huge reputation for being a troll GM (yet), but I guess my stance would be more on the side of role safety than not. I’d rather not lose the game before it has really started.
  4. Hey! Looking forward to playing with you Steel! I’ll make sure to kill you at the first possible opportunity .
  5. Listen! I'm signing up as Navi. I haven't played any of the console Zelda games, but I've watched my brother play pretty much all of them. Looking forward to this .
  6. Yeah, I was pretty surprised about that. I was honestly trying to find the elims prior to your joining, so I guess I was just doing a bad job of it .
  7. Yeah, this is something that crossed my mind as the game was close to ending. Everyone sort of wanted to avoid the Kandra, since the elims killing me would have slowed them down, and the village killing me would have caused them to lose.
  8. I enjoyed having you as my successor . A little sad that we didn't win, but I definitely would pick you again. Unless, of course, I realized that Ash was elim, in which case I probably would have converted him just for laughs. Pulling off a SK victory is always pretty tough, but I think between the two of us we came closer than most other people have. @StrikerEZ, this game was pretty awesome, so thanks for running it! I think the changes to the Kandra role were pretty great, and had a lot of fun trying to hunt out the elims and then betray the village. I look forward to the next LG you run! Speaking of which, this game did feel quite different from pretty much any game I've played before. I had a pretty village mindset just about up until I died, at least on terms of needing to find elims, but normally I would do a massive analysis post and try to guess the elim team at that point. Instead, I ended up with a wishy-washy post about Mat that was supposed to stop people from killing him off once I converted him. Definitely enjoyed living quite long as a not-elim, even if I wasn't village.
  9. Okay, so, things I noticed about Matrim: He put Dannex as a slight village read in his first list. That seems odd. Not a whole lot else to gather from the list. We've only killed 2 of the people on it, one from the village reads and one from the evil reads. Later is critical of... all the votes that have been placed. Except his own of course. But to be fair, most of those votes were pokes, so I think we can mostly agree. (warning, not a post Mat made!) Bip votes for Experience, putting him at 3 to the two on Matrim. Interestingly, Bip seems willing to give TUO a lot of slack here, which contrasts a decent bit with last cycle. (warning, another not Mat post!) Then Drake comes and village reads Mat. I wasn't a fan of this earlier, but it's consistent with something Drake posted earlier, so it's not really out of the blue like I thought back then. I don't actually think there's a whole lot to say here. Mat is upset at all of the votes on himself, and votes Exp, but doesn't give a reason. Exp wasn't even on his suspicions list. It's worth noting that Archer, Ash, and Bip are all still alive, and all either ended on Exp or pushed for him at some point. Actually, just about everyone that voted D1 is still alive... I'm not sure what to make of that. Mat's reads list for reference: Mat, TJ, Drake, Archer, Dannex, manukos, Araris, Lotus, Mist, Ash, TUO, Azmine, Jondesu, Devo, Books, Biplet, Ventyl, Szeth And Mat follows up his reads list with a vote on Szeth. Makes sense. And Mat and I try to engage with each other the next cycle but I totally fail to take his reads into account, so that doesn't go very far. Mat eventually ends on the Bip train. I think Mat/Bip could still be e/e, since Bip had an extra life, but it seems like a fair bit of a risk in exchange for distancing. Especially with lots of NKs running around. I'm honestly not sure what to make of Drake confronting Mat. And I'm going to head to bed. I only made it though half the game, but I'm still not really sure about Mat. I guess my elim read last cycle was due to the fact that he hasn't really done anything that stands out. He hasn't pushed super hard to kill anyone, and his thieving activity is suspect. His interactions with Bip also aren't as straightforward as I remembered. I would probably vote out Biplet first, and then see how the cycle played out before making a final call on Mat.
  10. According to Striker, getting roleblocked by anything other than a Steel Trap negates all actions. So there's not really any point.
  11. There isn't another reason. But I would say inactivity is simultaneously suspicious and detrimental to the game. I think what made his inactivity more suspicious was both that he had said his playstyle was to do analysis/vote later in the game (or he at least implied that), yet a couple of cycles before LyLo, he'd done nothing of the sort. He also was RPing for boxings, which is suspicious if it's the only thing you are doing. Guess the Nicroburst thing is a bust. But I do have multiple actions in just in case a Steel Trap heads my way.
  12. Well, strictly speaking, doing very little to try and find the elims is extremely suspicious. I wasn't just killing off a person that annoyed me. Both Mat and TUO were good options, and the activity is just what tipped the scales for me. Also, if it's not clear, I'm not 100% sure that Mat is elim. His point that none of the votes on him had solid suspicions backing them was valid. I have a vague sort of gut feeling that I'm sure there is some real substance behind, but I'd like to pin that down, or at least learn that it's rather misguided. I'm planning to ISO him before the cycle ends, since I suspect I'll meet an untimely demise sometime this evening. If I don't die, I'll look forward to some double-killing tomorrow! And yeah, this post isn't 200 words. Fortunately, impending doom means that I don't particularly need to watch my word count that closely anymore . @StrikerEZ, do roleblocks (other than the Steel Trap) block all actions taken by the target player that turn?
  13. I’m not quite sure I see your point. Again, I’d like to point out that I don’t think there is enough tinfoil in the world for you to believe I’m elim. But I was/am pretty frustrated with TUO and the other inactive players (I think just Dannex is left at this point). You actively make the game less fun for everyone else when you sign up and then don’t play. We also have enough leeway to risk something like that. My kill will get roleblocked tonight, so the count should be 4-3-1 come daytime.
  14. You might get better results with this if you specifically ping the folks voting for you.
  15. This is, unfortunately, kinda normal. Which is also weird, since voting is the core mechanic of the game. We also don't have PMs, so there isn't anywhere else for people to be spending their time. For the sake of keeping the thread more active, I'm going to switch from Mat to TUO. I'm also partly taking into consideration what Mat has said earlier this turn, but mostly this is because Mat has invested plenty into this game and I think we'll all have more fun if he's still kicking around next cycle.
  16. Well, I'd take your word for it, except for, you know, that being a pretty bad idea. But I am happy to bounce ideas with you. I'm currently feeling like you and Bip are the best candidates for being elims, and TUO is close third. This is based both on the arguments Drake has made, and on my own interpretation of the D1 vote events. You seem to agree with me that Biplet is rather suspicious. If she flipped elim, who would you want to go after next, as things stand now?
  17. I don’t actually have a recollection of you specifically under suspicion. I’m already suspicious of you, and was trying to account for your activity in light of that. I think I gave a decent explanation, and if there wasn’t an explanation, I’d have to reconsider my suspicion.
  18. I've reconsidered about Archer. He could still be elim, but I think Mat has a much better chance. I just didn't get elim vibes from his posts this cycle. Mat seems rather carefree, kinda like he's an elim that has been caught and is just waiting to get killed off. And, if Mat does flip elim, it will definitely be worth looking at C1 a bit more closely. Sweeper was still doing his job, keeping the floors swept. Someone had claimed to have seen him killing one of the politicians, but that was nonsense. Was it really murder to clean the floor so hard that someone slipped and fell on a spike and died? Of course not. It was just doing your duty to the best of your ability. Although it was a bit sloppy to leave a spike on the floor, he admitted to himself. Unfortunately, the supposed revelation of his actions had totally destroyed any subtlety that his position had previously granted him. Why, the past night, someone had followed him on all of his rounds. It was impossible to do a good job cleaning with someone staring over your shoulder. Everyone knew that much. Which meant it was time for a change in duties. Back in the broom closet, Sweeper stared at his reflection in a polished metal bucket. There were other tools around him. Other personas he could assume. He hesitantly reached for the handle of a mop on the wall. No more will I be called Sweeper. My new job will be... Moper. And with that settled, Moper abandoned his cleaning tools and set to moping about the building. There was certainly plenty to be upset about these days. All those folks dead, and him a part of it. Nobody could blame a fellow for having a good cry or two, after what they'd all been through.
  19. I'm mechanically confirmed to be either a coinshot or the Kandra. Unless you think Striker gave the elims 2 kill roles this game, there is literally no way for me to be an elim.
  20. I’ve changed my mind about Drake, I don’t really think there’s any way he’s elim at this point (unless Drake/Mat/Bip is the team). I think I agree with his list, except I would add Matrim and Biplet to the list, since I don’t think I have any reason to trust them. I don’t mind killing TUO, but I’m going to vote for Archer, who I attempted to kill last night. I think the kill on Illwei means that there are one or more lurking elim players, so the elims were forced to go for a higher activity kill, or risk having all the quiet folks left be elims. Illwei was also pretty much cleared as village, so it makes sense. I will challenge @The Unknown Order to give some reads and a vote this turn, since the game is getting rather close to ending.
  21. I sent in a kill, but my action failed. I think I’m kinda useless by this point, since it appears that the elims have a roleblock. Edit: I read the Kandra stuff, and you can believe me that Kandra!Araris would have made quite different kills.
  22. I meant to say something earlier, but today ended up being rather busy for me. I'm a little disappointed that Biplet didn't claim Thug before the end of the day turn, so my suspicions aren't lessened any there. I haven't really put any thought into the Kandra's abilities. But based on the feedback Ash and I gave last game, it likely has some sort of kill potential, as well as a single body swap, which would allow the original Kandra to communicate with the new Kandra player. I'm also really curious as to who the elims will kill this cycle. We are running out of quieter players, so we might learn something from the NK. I hope someone can protect me, since I'm definitely a potential target. As I said earlier, I'd encourage the thieves to target players they suspect of sending in night kills, since that gives decent odds of finding an elim. Aside from Biplet, I think Mat/Drake is v/e, and while Mat is definitely a stronger suspicion, Drake could be elim, and I'm not entirely clearing him. I'm definitely sending in another kill tonight, so here's to hoping that the elims didn't buy the vest, and that they don't have a roleblock.
  23. Experience has lost internet connection, so the turn is extended (I assume for an extra 24 hours, but I don't entirely know).
  24. Okay, so at first glance the elim kills make me think that the elims are decently active. But I'm not too sure where to go from there. I'm not sure that elim!Drake would go so hard after Mat for a roleclaim, which conflicts with my read of him from C1 and C2. I can see Mat being an elim, and might end up voting for him. I agree with Illwei's point, and also think his reaction to Illwei felt a little off. Illwei herself seems likely to be village, since I doubt that the elims would use a spike N1. Szeth and Books are both people I'm slightly reading village on as well. Of the people that have posted today, the only others are Devotary and Archer. I don't really have anything on Devotary, although I also don't think there's much to have. I honestly don't have a read on Archer as well.. I'd probably lean slightly village for him, based on my experience as his teammate once, but that's pretty weak. That leaves the quiet folks; @Biplet, @Dannex, and @The Unknown Order. I hold to my suspicion of Biplet, especially in light of my suspicion on Mat. Dannex and TUO are both pretty meh. I figure between myself and the elim team's apparent strategy, they won't be long for this game. I think I'll vote Biplet. Given how quiet things have been this cycle, killing Mat off seems slightly less than optimal for now, but I'd be down to vote him off if people would prefer him over Bip. I'd like to mention (if it hasn't been said yet) that the Thief role can be used as a pseudo kill scan, since players with items or lots of cash are likely to have been collecting from NKs. Something to keep in mind.
