  1. Buy. It looks like Spren are pretty darn pivotal, given all of the interlude characters we've seen with special focus on the spren. Odium tears up Shards by giving them some of his own Investiture, then taking it back after it destroys them
  2. Hey, could you do more posts so I can upvote you more:) Seriously, tremendous work. Absolutely seamless transition from 2-D to 3-D EDIT: Have you sent these to Brandon yet? Because if no, change that to yes. In all likelihood, he'll probably feature it with a tweet or a blog post. Basically Internet Immortality

Sazed isn't actually God, as in a being who actually has the right to do it because he defines what is right. The circumstances behind his actions, and the way that effects the morals of his actions, are the same for him as they are for anyone else.

Also, if the Terrismen really didn't like it, they could just... um, you know... do it over again. Same with Spook's tin savanthood. It was a part of his personal identity just as well. Now, they have the opportunity to know what it's like to have it. None of his changes were irreversible.
  5. Did you remember anything new in either of them, before I decide to see if transcribing them is worth it? (Then again, considering the 13 hour + drive I have ahead of me, it is likely not a problem). UPDATE: I've gotten through the first half hour of one of them, and I got to say, it is ridiculously mindnumbing. There's something about hearing Brandon futilely ask for questions that makes my soul die a little. I'll ask you questions, Brandon. On the news side, there was a RAFO about what type of spren Ym was bonded to, and a confirmation that while Axies the Collector "cameos" in WoR, he has no viewpoint.
  6. It is brandon's birthday. CAPS LOCK ABUSE! Everyone, cosmere birthday wishes!
  7. @Windy, most of the stuff with Sauron and Galadriel happened, just behind the scenes. (KInd of) Same with Legolas. He was there, but not mentioned explicitly in the book. The only truly invented sequence was the one with Kate, I'm sorry, Tauriel, and her love triangle thing with the Fili? and Legolas. But any downsides in that movie were erased by the one Gimli joke.
  8. Yay!!! Whenever I talk to most people about them, especially Unexpected Journey, they complain about it being, "slow" and with too much singing. I think, however, that the style of the first one matches Tolkiens prose much better, which is fantastic anyhow. I actually liked the first one better, just because it had the more storybook pacing.
  9. Did you really just smiley face the Parshendi war with humans?!
  10. I think what he was trying to ask is how do Feruchemists have their powers in the first place? Everything else is an overbalance of Preservation, either through genetics or from Hemalurgic Theft.
  11. I would probably waste that on making a huge number of Nightblood class awakened with modern commands. Like, Remember Things, or Correct Test. It would be interesting to see the effects of a command like that, also. I mean, there is so much we do not know.
  12. Nightweilder
  13. Good job, 17th Sharder! I would order books from his website, but... It's cheaper on Amazon and the experience of getting it directly signed from him is priceless.
  14. Hm. Hate to say, but I really doubt it, just we also know that Ruin has much extra power from what Preservation gave to Scadrial. Hemalurgy as you describe it would upset that boost.
  15. I've always thought about stuff like that, especially flat of shardblade. Equally important, I think, is the hilt. Is it invincible? Because there are a whole host of possibilities that could come with that.
  16. That would be cool, but Legion is not cosmere.
  17. Wow! Good for you!
  18. I always write Hoid as Hoed, and then laugh, though I wouldn't be surprised if there was a grain of truth in the mispronunciation. Elokar, I do also.
  19. California! And I mean North California, forty five minutes from San Francisco, not South. The cultures are so different between the two they might as well be different countries! I biked there once, and it was awesome. I was born in Utah, but I only lived there for around four months, so...
  20. I'm going mostly for visiting relatives. I actually don't like skiing or snowboarding.
  21. I would love to go to this one, but my Utah vacation starts a week from now. When I first saw the date, Saturday, I got so excited because I thought it might mean next Saturday, when I would be there. Alas, twas not to be, and now I must beg thee of the 17th Shard to go in my stead. Some questions, if anyone goes: Scadrial: Allomancers have Allomancy because of their extra Preservation. How does Feruchemy have this relationship? Is it more Ruin and Preservation together, or is it something else? Will there be any full Terrismen in future Wax and Wayne books? SoSiFoH Would shades respond to someone allomanticly burning a metal, or Surgebinding? Roshar Could a cognitive entity, like a spren or a seon, pull some of their Cognitive-ness into the physical realm permenantly? For example, when Wyndle's vine leavings turn to dust, does that does stay there? If Wyndle moved more fully into the physical realm, would he have a physical make up? Is Gaz a surgebinder like Elhokar? If so, then did Darkness kill him? If Darkness met Kaladin, would he try and kill him?
  22. I like watching pots boil...
  23. Just for the names, try and get away from the -or thing. I like the idea, but maybe you could look at the Misting chart for inspiration. Try and look at what they do, and what people recognise them for. Yes, there is a Pulser, but don't forget the Thug or the Tineye.
