  1. I don't know if it has been outright, but it has in the same way that Khriss is confirmed as the AA author—lots of WoBs added up to confirm. 1) The recipient is definitely a dragon. 2) Frost is super long-lived as a result of his race. 3) Frost is the most Cosmere-aware non-worldhopper. etc.
  2. I'd have to hunt down the WoB, but I'm pretty certain that Frost is not a Shard. He's a dragon from Yolen.
  3. The only magic system that seems to be limited in region is the Dor, so I don't see why Lerasium wouldn't work elsewhere.
  4. I'd love to know the timeline of when Khriss joins up. We'll be getting POVs from her eventually, but Idk if they'll include her joining the Seventeenth.
  5. Lerasium rewrites your Spirit Web, so I don't think it would have any problem making a non-Scadrian into an Allomancer.
  6. I'm really hoping that the next Secret History installment shows how Demoux joins them.
  7. For reference, third from the bottom in this thread: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/46230-sos-tour-denver-signing-oct-6-2015/
  8. Vathi is NOT Khriss. I asked Brandon this on the SoS tour and he said she's someone different.
  9. LoP and LoR are supposed to be a sort of prequel duology to Dragonsteel, as I understand it. He's going to completely rewrite LoP, though. And yeah, Era 4 is, by all accounts, the very end of the Cosmere sequence.
  10. I'm finding it really hard to reconcile the fact that it's clear he's using Allomancy in WoR and that WoB is he didn't ingest the bead. Either he used it as a spike (which I find very unlikely, considering his, ah, handicap) or a metalmind that somehow grants Allomancy.
  11. That: 1) The writer of the Ars Arcana is a member of the Seventeenth Shard http://theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=632#4 http://theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=1076#13(confirming it's not Hoid) 2) The writer is a woman 3) Nazh works for the writer http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/23181-ars-arcana-author-confirmed/ Edit for references*
  12. Piecing together various WoBs indicates that Khriss is a member of the Seventeenth, so I'd imagine she's in contact with Frost, somehow. But her comment about Yolen being hidden is problematic, especially since there's apparently also WoB that Frost is not a worldhopper.
  13. Hoid uses Yolenish Lightweaving in both Warbreaker and Way of Kings.
  14. Perhaps Harmonium could produce such an effect.
  15. I've him RAFO the lerasium-as-metalmind one, so who knows on that. But thanks for the link to the WoB!
  16. So I'm looking for a WoB right now. On theoryland, re: Hoid and the lerasium that he took, there is a footnote saying only "BWS has stated elsewhere that Hoid has not used his lerasium bead." Does anyone know where this WoB came from? Where the "elsewhere" actually was?
  17. And every time one gets Shattered, we end up with a bunch of Fractionalsiums.
  18. Haven't we gotten WoB that Odium's ability to splinter Shards (breaking them apart) is related to his Intent, though?
  19. Hmmm. Well, then that pretty much guarantees that Yolen is still intact and that its hidden-ness is a very present thing.
  20. And not being a worldhopper doesn't necessarily mean that he hasn't just moved from Yolen to another world. If the whole population was displaced, I wouldn't call every single one of them worldhoppers.
  21. Frost having moved is certainly an option. I'm kind of curious to find out if Yolen isn't hidden but actually destroyed during the Shattering (or abandoned, for Liar of Partinel plot element reasons).
  22. In his last State of the Sanderson, he certainly indicated that it will be a Cosmere book. And mine had the foreward (I got it just before Christmas), but I don't remember him saying it wasn't Cosmere.
  23. Underrated: Sixth of the Dusk, The Final Empire Overrated: The Emperor's Soul SotD is a unique setting—a drastic departure from traditional fantasy locales—and presents a character type that's new for Sanderson. TFE, I think, is his second-best paced book (after BoM) and has the most satisfying plot of any of his books. As for TES, I never understood the infatuation with it. It was a decent enough story, but I couldn't empathize with the protagonist at all.
  24. I don't think all shardpools are automatically blue. I'm pretty sure Cultivation's is green, when it's mentioned in WoR.
  25. Well, if we get a WoB that he has visited Threnody, that's at least another circumstantial point of support for him splintering a Shard there. Or, maybe we should ask if his influence is present on Threnody, to cover the chance of splintering a Shard elsewhere and people moving to Threnody/naming it after the Shard.
