  1. I just remembered this, but I'm pretty sure that a human body isn't capable of containing the power of a Shard. It's why Vin's body vaporized when she Ascended. Same with Sazed.
  2. That's fair. I just think it's the closest to that which we've seen, and I found it interesting that Preservation wasn't mentioned in the OP.
  3. I think the way I'd describe it (my words here, not remotely canon or anything) is that the mist spirit is a sort of "bleed over" from the CR to the PR. That it is physically present in the world, but the being that it's a presence of is mostly in the CR.
  4. Yeah, count me in their number. I'd prefer consistency with in-universe rules and originality with plot and character. No need to recycle main characters (especially when most of them would be randomly resurrected and have no clue about the cosmere meta story and the plots going on).
  5. There are multiple WoBs that it's not impossible for Parshendi to become Radiants. The historical restriction against them seems to have been more cultural, not mechanical/spiritual:
  6. The closest would be the one that you didn't mention: Preservation. The mist spirit is definitely in the PR, and affects it when he stabs Elend at the Well.
  7. They're all "Cosmere books," and they already don't exist by themselves. Bringing back Vin/Elend/Dockson is going into the realm of fanfiction. (Kelsier and Vasher are different stories, of course, because they're canonically not gone.)
  8. The "element" is indeed the bead of Lerasium Hoid stole from the Well: MIKE COCKRUM (23 JANUARY 2013) How many shards has Hoid received powers from, whether taken, stolen, given, etc.? BRANDON SANDERSON (23 JANUARY 2013) Well, he has a bead of Lerasium.
  9. Sadly, yeah. Gonna be a long wait...but I'm fully on board with this theory until further notice.
  10. Oh, I see what you mean. That the current mindsets of each of the Vessels provided a Connection to Adonalsium at the moment of Shattering, thus attracting those particular pieces of him. That's...a really, really cool idea.
  11. I think this is exactly what it would do. I don't imagine it would affect the spike itself, but I could see there being localized cracking in the Spirit Web around the spike. If that's even a thing. Hmm, I wonder if there are actual locations on the Spirit Web which would potentially allow/encourage different types of magic...
  12. Definitely a cool idea, though Frost's letter makes it problematic when he says Rayse is carrying "God's own divine hatred." That definitely points to the Intents coming from Adonalsium, not the Vessels themselves.
  13. I'm not entirely certain that's the same Trell. There are some noticeable differences between Trelagism in Era 1 and Trellism in Era 2.
  14. One thing to take into account (and I suppose there could be a grain of salt with this, but Khriss is THE most Cosmere-aware character, so I find that doubtful) is that Khriss says Yolen is hidden. Braize is pretty clearly not hidden, since people on Roshar can see it and Shards know about Odium being there.
  15. Yeah, Brandon has said no audio. BUT: He plans to include the beginning of the prose version in Arcanum Unbounded this fall, and that will have an audio version. So, at least that's something.
  16. That's how I read it, too. He wasn't actually carrying all of that around, but just making it look like he was. Using sand/Lightweaving is something he does multiple times in the published books, and LoP* makes it clear it's an integral part of being a Jesk. *Yeah, non-canon, but still.
  17. He's using Yolish Lightweaving, which includes the use of sand.
  18. And we saw them in the Cognitive Realm, where I'd imagine they would see themselves as dragons, not as humans. Count me in on Leras/Ati=humans bandwagon.
  19. He's answered my questions about the prose version at a couple signings. He just doesn't broadcast it.
  20. Yup, that's what I was thinking about.
  21. I swear I've seen something on here that figured out Gibletish was an anagram for something in-world.
  22. I didn't even think about that little bit being a hint about the Shattering. I love it, though, and I do think that Hoid is trying to "rebuild" Adonalsium in some manner.
  23. Yeah, FotS and Threnody would be minor shardworlds. And that's my point: the Expanses most likely refer to major shardworlds. Taldain as Broken Sky makes a lot of sense, since the world is tidally locked and the sky there is literally broken into permanent day and permanent night. Vibrance makes sense for color-happy Nalthis.
  24. I have a feeling the Expanses are major shardworlds. It would be strange for a (possibly) one-off novella of a minor shardworld to featured prominently on a CR map in Brandon's biggest series. (IMO Vibrance=Nalthis, Broken Sky=Taldain)
  25. Yeah, that makes the most sense to me. Nobody has FTL travel yet; all worldhopping is done through the CR as far as we know. (Well, I guess Sixth of the Dusk is gonna be in AU...hrm)
