Yeah, I was at the Q&A (I was the guy who asked about fixing Spirit Webs to break Nahel bonds and the Ire/Fortune question). Still a starmap, in the loosest sense of the word. A map of the Cosmere, at least. And now that I'm going back through the transcription of the Q&A, I notice that he mentions Khriss' intros there, too. Looks like she's doing one for each story!

Seons are definitely splinters. At JordanCon, Brandon said that seons and skaze could be considered spren.

I'm interested to see if this ends up accurate. I have a friend who works at the indie bookstore here in town, and she said they just put in a signing bid for his tour in October for AU. I can't see a signing tour happening before the book gets released.
-
Holy cow, that would be AWESOME.

I LOVE Khriss. She's my kind of woman haha. You'll see a lot more of her in White Sand (and she shows up in both BoM and Secret History, so you can get a good feel for what she's like). And yes, Lift novella FTW. But at this point, I'm more excited for the starmap and the introduction.

Per WoB at JordanCon, Fortune is a Spiritual aspect that's present throughout the Cosmere. The Ire don't know about Feruchemical chromium, but they know about Fortune as a concept. So the question is, how are Elantrians using this? I guess it comes down to the same questions that I have about chromium, namely, how exactly does it work? Can it affect things back in time? A sort of prerequisite to have things appear when you need them when you tap Fortune?

Right?? Out of everything that happened this weekend, this is one of the top 3 most exciting, IMO.

I decided to take things a step further at JordanCon this past weekend and directly ask Brandon if Threnody is named in memorial of a Shard. He wrote "A little bit, kind of, not completely." in my book, and continued on to say that it's "more kind of than not completely." What this means is of course up for interpretation (I'm choosing to interpret it as meaning I'm on the right track), but the big thing followed. I told him my theory about the fourth splintered Shard being Threnody and the people who were around for that moved to Threnody the world and named it. He got a grin and told me to read the Khriss introduction to Arcanum Unbounded. You guys. There's gonna be a Khriss intro. AHHHHHHH.

I've heard that he's considering Demoux for another Secret History book, which would be awesome. It's been mentioned a couple places, but the big one I remember is the 2014 State of the Sanderson:
-
The 1980s trilogy is the currently planned Era 3. He has talked about adding in another Era, set with 1940s tech, in addition to the 1980s and the far-future tech trilogies.

Well, the whole Worldbringers thing is clearly tied to some sort of Cosmere organization, or is Cosmere-related at least, and Hoid is likely part of it. It would make lots of sense that he went to the people who have Feruchemy, since he apparently uses it to know where to go.
-
And there's the 1940s era stuff that he's mentioned from time to time that he wants to do. Plus more Secret History novellas. It would be cool, but I'm not sure there's enough room.

That's terrifying. I'm pretty good at WoT interview quotes, I couldn't tell you what signing or even tour a lot of them came from.

On a WoB hunt regarding the character(s) named Felt. Anyone know of a WoB about it being a coincidence that a guy named Felt shows up in both Mistborn and Stormlight? I swear I've seen it before, but can't currently find it due to the problematic nature of searching a database for the word "felt".

Speculation About Frost’s Role in the Shattering
PallonianFire replied to Confused's topic in Cosmere Discussion
If he's not a worldhopper, it means he hasn't moved worlds. So that WoB pretty much precludes the Shattering destroying Yolen, IMO.- 33 replies

Speculation About Frost’s Role in the Shattering
PallonianFire replied to Confused's topic in Cosmere Discussion
He also says that Frost isn't a worldhopper, e.g. he has never left Yolen.- 33 replies

Yeah, I searched theoryland for the WoB...and I gave up less than a third through the searches after reading 200+ interviews that included "I felt like..." Ugh. I swear I've seen him mention that it was an accident, though. Certainly there are two different articles on the Coppermind for the characters named Felt, but there wasn't a link to a WoB differentiating them, though. This might be something I'll have to ask him at JCon next month.
-
Okay, I gotta clear this up. Isn't there a WoB that guys named Felt showing up in two different series was an accident?

A Collection of Hoid WoBs and Speculations
PallonianFire replied to Confused's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Hah, you posted about Liar of Partinel while I was typing up my post about it. I do want to know what the "gods" in LoP are/were, since it supposedly takes place before the Shattering. There's clearly something cataclysmic that went on before that story begins. -
Super wild speculation. (Maybe Stormlight spoilers)
PallonianFire replied to Djarskublar's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I'd be floored if the Shattering didn't happen on Yolen. We know it'll happen during Dragonsteel, and Yolen is the planet for that series. I think an easy way to get confirmation would be to ask if Frost was at the Shattering, since he's never left Yolen. -
Hoid with the bead of Lerasium (Spoilers)
PallonianFire replied to FlailingMunchies's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I'm very curious to see how Hoid's relationship to Worldsingers/Worldbringers, and the Worldbringers' relationship to pre-Final Empire Feruchemists, might play into his acquisition of Feruchemy. -
There's also a kandra worldhopper, somewhere in there. Though how we're supposed to figure out who that would be is beyond me.

Hoid with the bead of Lerasium (Spoilers)
PallonianFire replied to FlailingMunchies's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I'm not disputing that he's an Allomancer. I'm disputing that he had to have ingested the Lerasium to achieve that ability. We don't know what he did with it, but those WoBs indicate that he uses Allomancy through some other fashion. And with this, we already know that Hoid uses Feruchemy to know where to go and when. -
Hoid with the bead of Lerasium (Spoilers)
PallonianFire replied to FlailingMunchies's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I take that as Brandon saying he did not ingest the Lerasium. -
discussion An interesting WoB on Sel and Threnody
PallonianFire replied to Rasarr's topic in Cosmere Discussion
My Threnody theory lives on! Mwahahaha
