What if Atium wasn't matter? It has mass, and has metallic properties, but isn't matter? Here's what I'm thinking: The three realms (Physical, Spiritual, and Cognitive) each have things which are primarily "of" that realm. Reflections of these things exist in the other Realms, and can interact with the other things in that realm, but aren't really there. So matter is anything "of" the Physical Realm, while the god metals, shardpools, and mist are of the Spiritual Realm. This would mean that Atium has physical presence in the Physical Realm, but it isn't actually composed of the fundamental particles that define matter. It's kind of a Plato's Caveish kind of idea.

I feel like Larasium should be superconducting, to go with the whole "preserving" theme. Also, it probably doesn't corrode for the same reason.

Excellent idea, Eric. the only problem is... Astantine isn't a metal. EDIT: Okay, checked what Wikipedia says on the matter. (get it? matter?). So it could be a metal, but it usually isn't.

Actually, I think stomach acid is pretty strong. Wikipedia says it has a pH of 1.5 - 3.5.

We know what Atium's Allomantic, Feruchemical, and Hemalurgic properties are, but what about its physical properties? Does it conduct well? Does it tarnish? What's its melting point? How strong is it? What's its density? How do they compare to Lerasium's physical properties?

What would lighting do to a Hemalurgic spike? What if it was lighting from a Highstorm?

Wouldn't that be Car-ma? Also, now we'll be expecting an awesome parking spot when we least expect it.

What does a new member need to know in order to really fit in with this community? A quick briefing on the Cosmere is always useful. Hoid and Adonalsium and all that. What is a common mistake that new group members often make? There can be a bit of a learning curve as you learn about all the little things Brandon has spilled outside the books. Has the community helped you through a tough or emotional time? Not yet, for me. Is there a specific event/post/moment where you felt like you had transitioned from noob to accepted member? (hopefully spikes weren’t involved…) Maybe, but it's been long enough (and my memory is poor enough) that I don't remember. Tell me about your favorite meme or inside joke from the 17th Shard. (For instance… what’s with the waffles?) The admins' tendency to spike people. Is there anything you think I should know about this great community that I haven’t asked about? Can't think of anything.

The problem with a fact generator is that some facts are also spoilers. That could be dealt with, of course, but it's something to keep in mind. Also, a quote generator would be awesome as well. There are some spoilers in those too, but there would be fewer. EDIT: Also, I'm in full support of the countdown clock. Countdown clocks are awesome!
