  1. Performance 1 done. My fingers hurt. Will maybe update tomorrow after second performance tonight. Was fun, sounded pretty good. Our special surprise went well, but could go better

A lot of it comes from the number of people we have. And if we spent a little more time on stage with the choreo, it would be a little bit easier

      Oh it definitely is

and the younger choirs, and the lack of discipline…

Sorry I sound like such a brat :P they did do really well, just…ah…could have done better

eh, I'm super critical of the choir, but i'm in it so it's allowed.

  2. I concur. not that I must make a parody of EPIC of the cosmere. I don't have time for that. But I agree that you have to.
  3. so turns out, I definitely do not have enough money to come to the play. I'm too broke for this. I even used the discount code and got a whole 1% off :P That's a shame. I'd like to come. It's probably for the best, I have plenty of hw to do

So funny story we think he’s picking favorites, some of the discount codes have 10-20% off

i think he doesn’t like me

sad you’ll miss it though, good luck with them homeworks

it was the name of draco, so... that was the only one I knew :P

  4. I just found a double bladed lightsaber for $60. that's so cheap, and I think with haggling, I can get it lower. The temptation is there. And it is strong. I must resist

      I forgot about it :P

  6. TLT. Although, I don't spend as much time there as I used to... or very much at all. I used to like TLPW, but it's too fast-paced for me rn definitely FGaRS, but I am also a fan of reading SE, and would probably play if I had more time.
  7. I have decided my new life aspiration is to be this man.

  8. so what I'm hearing is don't start my reread yet. what a perfect excuse to procrastinate
  9. I agree with much of your analysis, but disagree on parts. We have typically been using standardized definitions (or as close as you can to them) from sources such as Merriam-Webster or Oxford English Dictionary. I hesitate to ask, but did you read the rest of the thread? If you did, you'll note that in your analysis, you neglected to mention the main point the the "water is wet" side is making: that under most definitions, there is a "consisting of" or "containing" some sort of liquid. With this definition in mind (most credible sources have this in there, in fact, I have yet to see one that doesn't), water must be wet. You could argue the definition, but I don't think you could make a good argument against the conclusion, while the definition stands. And yet, it is not, as the argument you cite fails to address one of the major points of the opposing argument.
  10. Here I was, hoping that you'd written a bunch more while you were gone so when you came back I'd be able to read I probably need to reread parts 1-8 anyway.
  11. Telrao! WHERE IS THE CAT!
  12. mmmm. probably... yeah, probably whimsy.
  13. Like... Void between worlds out of existence or completely destroyed by the Witherlord out of existence or just left the area out of existence?
  14. Out of curiosity, are you non-denominational or of a specific denomination? I won't try to convert, but if it sounds like I am, it's probably because internet words and I'm passionate about my religion. Like @Medium said, the Articles of Faith are a great place to start. They'll pretty much sum up the most important parts. One thing that isn't mentioned in them specifically, but is very important, is that we believe that God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three separate individuals, which I understand is contrary to the majority of Christians. As stated above, we believe that God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three separate individuals that are united in purpose. Usually it will be the Father we are referencing when we say God, but it could be Christ. I've never heard someone use God to reference the Holy Ghost. We believe that if we live righteously, we can become as our Heavenly Father is, that is, being a God. We do believe that he died and was resurrected. I'm afraid I don't know exactly what you mean by fully man and fully God, so I'm not going to answer that. One of the main things that separates us is our view on the Godhead. Because we believe each member of the Godhead is a different being, some people say we believe in a "different Jesus." Obviously a big one is our different interpretation of Revelations 22:18. Many people think that that means that God's word is closed and that he will reveal no more. We believe differently. We believe that God revealed many truths to Joseph Smith, which are published in the Doctrine and Covenants, that through God's power, Joseph Smith was able to translate an ancient record which is now the Book of Mormon, and we believe in modern-day prophets who receive direct revelation through God, for the whole church. We believe that individuals can be directed of God. As for what gives me conviction, the main factor for me is personal experiences. I've had many experiences that have helped shape my faith to what it is today. In addition to that, there are other small contributing factors, like what I've heard referred to as the "shroud of darkness." Many religions attack the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in a way that they don't do for many (or any) others. I personally look at this as Satan's influence in trying to destroy God's church. We believe that man is punished for their own sins, not for Adam's transgression. We believe that mankind is in a fallen state, and that we are redeemed through Christ. We believe the natural man (or, mankind's desires, unmoderated by anything) is an enemy to God. We believe that God the Father, Jesus (the Son), and the Holy Ghost are different, so we're already a little different. We believe that we can become Gods, so we're different from most (if not all) religions. In general we agree with the Nicene Creed though. -- Honestly, I'd say the best way to learn about our church is to read the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the talks given in our General Conference. They'll help you understand what it is we believe far better than most of us could.
  15. Glass. I just saw that you think star wars is mid. I don't know if we can be friends after that.

The fact that you think we're friends makes me really happy, actually :D

And, yeah. Eh. It's just not super interesting to me, and really hard to get into.

  16. Xino, I got a notif saying you quoted me, but when I clicked it, it didn't take me to the post. did you quote me then delete it, or something like that?

    1. xinoehp512

      xinoehp512

I don't think I deleted anything. It's possible it was just the quote-jumping being weird- I've noticed that it will not work sometimes for some reason. It's possible it was on the same page or one before or after.

Fine, I'll go check again :P

  17. He probably is different. Less structured, a little more Chaotic than they are. I'll come up with a name later. Maybe something to do with Creation.
  18. my friend will be very glad to hear it. perfect.
  19. Ruin and Preservation not quite opposites, they can work together. In addition, they have a Vessel acting as an emulsifier. The Vessel is not made of Ruin and Preservation. Ennullers are made of Ordered Darkness, while Narrators are made of Chaotic Light. Combine those, and all you have is Void, or perhaps even nothing. It's like anti-matter and matter. they don't mix. In the Great Desert, it rose from the sand.
  20. Is this the brave adventurer, the Brave Adventurer, or a different adventurer who is also brave? asking for a friend, of course.
  21. good news, Eddie posted here a bunch more times so I can too
  22. One plus Platypus. I think Xino is still alive, at least. @xinoehp512, is Xino still alive? Ennullers and Narrators are literally opposites. They are made of opposite energies. I don't think it would be possible to be both at once. My headcanon is that you would implode. Also, Narration is inherently Chaotic. It cannot be Ordered. It can be structured, but not Ordered. Platypus does something similar to Narration that uses Order instead of Chaos though. I've taken to calling it Creation.
  23. fine. I'll wait
  24. WHERE ARE THE ADVENTURES OF A CERTAIN CAT? WHERE ARE YOU HIDING THEM? DID YOU WRITE MORE? hi telrao
  25. Oh boy. I will need to go find that post sometime when I have time.
