Let's just say it was good enough. If Platypus hadn't been expecting it, he could've been fooled by it. The teleporter blew up. Antimatter does that sometimes.- 111823 replies

The clone got lost along the way. Somehow, it vanished, any connection severed. Rebus did get the impression, however, that what had happened was not natural, nor could it be explained by such a simple thing as Narration. Well, if it was an actual Nullite box, there would be little that thread Perception could do for him. But yes, leaving the soul out would prevent tampering with his soul. I'd hope so. You'll find out. yeah, the hive mind would be fine. They wouldn't even experience corruption, all contact with that "limb" would just be gone (because of the Nullite).- 111823 replies

Yes. Long story short, there was no actual Nullite box. No idea what you mean by this, but that clone is dead. He got Mordite to the core. Anything Connected to him isn't impacted by that though. Unless that was not the clone and I misunderstood you, in which case I'll retcon/edit it. Nope. No idea who that is but it probably depends on how you kill him The Nullite didn't kill him, the Mordite did. The Nullite was just preventing the clone from sending the message of how he died, because there was something special about it. It wouldn't harm anyone else. The Connection I refer to is just a light trail. Platypus could sense Rebus controlling the clone, and he traced the connection (like you could do with a phone signal). It depends on what the precautions were if they'd be successful, but in general, precautions don't work well against the four primal substances.- 111823 replies

Perhaps he should have been a little more careful. Platypus was not something someone should underestimate. A Mordite blow pierced through the armor, and struck deep to the core. In the instant that the body of Rebus died, a Nullite blade Silenced any transmission. But the Connection that the clone had had to Rebus would be enough. Platypus walked through the wall of the box, and picked up a small device. Interesting. It seems Nowhere was right about this. The box disappeared, as it had never truly been there.- 111823 replies

I don't think that's quite how it would work. in a stable environment, sure, but TLT is anything but stable. Still could work though

I don't think it would be even close to stable, but perhaps more stable than Light Dark

"I am afraid that is not an option. The Luxite is far to valuable." The blows bounced of the coat, but the damage was inevitable. The beating it was taking was far too intense for it to be sustainable.- 111823 replies

"Vengeance is not what you deserve, but it is my weapon of choice. Unless you'd prefer another?" Blows rained down on him from behind, though he could still see Platypus in front of him.- 111823 replies

It doesn't really fit on the Axis, but in theory it could happen... It's probably pretty similar to what Platypus is going through a lot of the time, honestly. Mood swings, personality changes and other things like that could be major characteristics. Powers... a little tricky there, but it could probably do some janky stuff. yeah, in a fight it'd be probably worse than useless (at least something useless won't harm you). there's some potential there, but it would be very dangerous.

Reality seemed to shift around him, and the field warped into a metallic box. The metal looked eerily familiar, and one who knew how to recognize it would be able to tell what it was. Nullite. Platypus stood up, a dark smile touching upon his face. "Rebus. What brings you here?"- 111823 replies

Narration is the in-world changing of reality. Authors writing is just us revealing more about the world, not changing what is in it

It's very possible they were, but that is not their lore in the slightest. Different thing now. Good luck getting it from Platypus also, if you want to get my attention, quoting (or pinging) me is the best way. I mostly just skim posts otherwise. you'll see- 111823 replies

... Narration doesn't relate to Authors at all. But it also doesn't come from a gem. There are plenty of things that can simulate Narration though, that can be replicated from things like gems

Not the opposite of a Narrator, that's an Ennuller. Withergeists are the opposites of Luxsprites. Narrators? that is not at all the lore for Narrators, sorry. also, Avatars are a different thing ahem. Narrators have a complicated backstory. Long story short, they were originally created when the Luxsprites and Withergeists got in a big fight. Pretty much all of the Luxsprites were killed, and the power that was wielded at that battle became two other kinds of beings - Ennullers and Narrators. Ennullers are being of Ordered Dark. Narrators, which are the ones you should probably care more about (they appear far more often), are beings of Chaotic Light - a mix of the Luxsprites' Light energy, and the Withergeists' Chaotic nature. They can do basically anything, and are nigh-impossible to kill. It would usually take another Narrator (or another of the four major Beings) to defeat one. That's what made Feanor such a powerful villain (but you wouldn't know him). They can be evil, mostly they're just random. Some are more random (cough cough, Hacob), some are more manipulative (cough cough, Subversion), some are more involved in plot (cough cough, Tam), and some are... weird (sneeze sneeze, Platypus). Platypus knelt in a field. It was a familiar field to him. Here he had fought Rond, then Feanor. He learned techniques there, and he'd used them. They would be important. Blades surrounded him - Vengeance, swords of Mordite, Nullite, Prismite, and even a dagger of Luxite. Normal blades lay across the top, forming a Stonehenge-esque structure. His Narrationblade was stabbed directly behind him. He scrawled desperately on the ground with Clemency, hoping beyond hope, that it was not too late. It probably was. He would need to find that shield. Track down where Cognition had gone, figure out what had happened to the Nohr Maul Blade... there was too much to do alone, but no one else could be trusted. If so much as one person figured this out, all could be lost. Maybe it was time to retire. To go back to the Void between worlds, to create his own reality once more. First he had to figure out what had happened to the Great Wizard though. And those Plotblades... they were too dangerous to be left alone. Zanitar had perished in the Fire. Hacob was missing. All the people he could usually count on were gone.- 111823 replies

I know. Glass PMed me about it. Or maybe it was Haly. I'm too lazy to check Thread Perception isn't an inherent ability of Narration, just one that is often manifested. It's a useful one for them to have, as it explains why they know to be where they are.
