  1. I PMed mine.
  2. I'm repeating but someone please ask about this. This actually makes perfect sense to me. Metals are foci for Metallic Arts, right? Their molecular structure (IIRC) determines what happens when you Invest. For example, gold reveals your past self in Allomancy. But when you compound, even though you're burning the same metal you get a completely different effect. Which means Feruchemically charged gold and regular gold are different foci. So when you flare one with duralumin, the other one isn't touched. Same with Hemalurgy spikes. That's what I think anyway. Though of course, this doesn't explain why spikes don't show up as reserves. Maybe it's simply because the Allomancer doesn't expect them to show up, so ignores them.
  3. It also says 'other upcoming books'. I'd love it if it works the way Argent thinks. It'd be great to have full chapters of Dalinar, Jasnah and Taravangian but I don't think we're going to get more WoR. Not in text anyway, but we'll probably get some artwork.
  4. If you have the opportunity, can you ask if no KR needs to breath while holding stormlight or is that just Windrunners? If every order has a "passive ability" like that, it might explain Shallan's Memory.
  5. Uh, maybe. I wouldn't call it much of a pattern at this point but odd numbers do seem to have more of a similarity between their pairs of surges. Though, to be honest Steelhunt surges are so mismatched that it could be making me prejudiced in this.
  6. I agree. It definitely looks like he has a choice.
  7. I think, Thaidakar and the Ghostbloods. They are his first guess of who sent Szeth. They are also a group interested in Desolations and Voidbringers. And I think it's very, very likely Gavilar knew something of what's coming and had plans about it.
  8. It's been some time since I read that scene but as far as I remember Jasnah didn't shoot lightning at all. She shot stormlight in a shape Shallan thought looked like lightning and when the stormlight touched the muggers, they transformed. That could mean that power came from a combination of two surges. Or it could simply be that non-fabrial Soulcasting also works from a distance. PS. I don't disagree electromagnetism could be a surge, I have it on my own table as either the 8th or the 9th surge. I'm just saying I don't think it had anything to do with what Jasnah did.

    Lerasium Spike

Not decaying part is a very good idea.
  10. Uh, are we? Where were we told that? I really can't remember anything of the sort. And, this is the WoB that you mention: He just says they are limited in some manner. He doesn't even confirm the pattern is neurological. So yeah, you're right.
  11. Thanks for the transcript Argent. This sounds like Endowment's Shardpool is beneath/around the jungle. Brandon even uses the word 'pool'. What's interesting is the connection to WoR. Small, more or less baseless theory: Honor's Shardpool is in Shattered Plains, maybe somewhere around the city Eshonai's in. Splintering of Honor released lots of uncontrolled energy, and lots of boom which caused the land to shatter.
  12. Done.
  13. You might want to read the chapter Veristitalian. It's not explicit but it's heavily implied.
  14. http://coppermind.net/wiki/Category:Scadrian http://coppermind.net/wiki/Category:Scadrial These good enough?
  15. Brandon has been a lot more free with Surgebinding information than he'd been in the past. Someone should press him for as much as we can get.
  16. Also the Stonewards and the Steelhunt Order. Though there wasn't much of a disagreement about them.
  17. I don't think so. It was probably the WoT that screwed up the schedule. That's two ~900-page books after WoK in a period of two and a half year or so.
  18. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vTaERRlLTLRmN_c2KExKi5di6rPy6gEa3pzWI-Bksa0/edit?usp=sharing I transcribed the prologue with additional info. There are parts I couldn't figure out. Let me know if you can correct those. Here's the source: https://soundcloud.com/lazerwulf214/words-of-radiance-prologue
  19. It's possible but isn't it kind of a reach? Not every Shardpool works like the Well of Ascension anyway. Pits of Hathsin produce atium and Devotion's Shardpool is a nice way to commit suicide. But neither allows someone to use the power of their Shards.
  20. Yep. It's titled The Way of Kings/Epigraphs
  21. I'm there too. https://www.goodreads.com/cemonal
  22. I'm not sure you're interpreting this correctly Argent. I read this as "There is a connection between the KR and the Ten Fools and that connection is the Ten Heralds." So pretty sure Brandon confirms Ten Fools and Ten Heralds are opposites but there is nothing there about Cultivation being in the middle. I agree with Nohadon not being a Sliver. Timing doesn't fit. We know Tanavast was alive at the Last Desolation, we also know the KR existed then. Unless there is some weird time travel thing going on, it's impossible for Nohadon to use the power of Honor to invent the Words or alter Surgebinding.
  23. It could be the in-book artist's interpretation. Painting a woman without her safehand covered is probably akin to nude paintings in Vorin kingdoms.
  24. Can't wait. Nice job managing to ask as many as 20.
