I did a representation of the novel One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest as a chess game for a project
The characters represent the chess pieces and the game represents the plot's progression
- Chief Bromden is the white king, because he is often silent and unseen, yet holds immense power and knowledge
- Randle McMurphy, the white knight, because he is unpredictable and daring
- Nurse Ratched, the black queen, because she is the most powerful and calculating player in the game. She also has two rooks up her sleeves
- Cheswick, the white bishop, because he frequently acts as McMurphy's confidant and supporter;
- Harding, the white rook, because he is a strong and reliable player
- Ratched's boys are the black pawns
SPOILERS for PLOT
SpoilerThe game opens with Nurse Ratched as the queen, the most powerful piece on the board, who focuses on attacking the patients, represented by pawns, all lined up in a row, waiting to be sacrificed for Nurse Ratched's benefit. Cheswick ultimately loses hope and gives himself up to Ratched's rooks.
As the game progresses, McMurphy realizes that the only way to win is to make a move that will sacrifice himself. However, Nurse Ratched is not easily defeated. She has tricks up her sleeve, represented by the rooks, sliding in and out of the game board when McMurphy least expects it. But in the end, McMurphy's sacrifice is too much for Nurse Ratched's chess game to handle. With the knight's loss, the other patients are inspired to take down Nurse Ratched and Chief Bromden wins the game.

So last night I went to a Smash bros tournament. 'Twas a fairly unique experience. I had fun! Got to play with a couple of the top 10 players in NY.
I may have gone 0-2 in set count but I kept it close, and I very nearly won the second set. I think I just need to work on my nerves. That in particular was difficult cause I got put on the main livestreamed setup that was on like 5 different screens in the venue
I wanna do better next time, and I know I can

@That1Cellist I get that reaction a lot…. Ike taught me fundamentals and those transfer over to Pythra very nicely.
One of my favorite things to do is have an all hero battle, but one may only use variations of down special. Aka: Pokémon in smash ult

Today, I officially entered the realm of adulthood! Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday today. Y'all really made me smile
'Twas my last birthday at home and the last one of high school, which makes me kinda sad, but it was a wonderful day.
Except for the part where at track my coach made us do 40 minutes of core and I died. We don't have to talk about that. I got to order some excellent specialty pizza from a local restaurant, which was fantastic, and finished the night with lemon meringue pie! Also, my dad bought me a Bridge Four hoodie! I'm very excited to wear it. I wonder if any Sanderfans will come up to me after noticing the design...I hope they do, at least!

ALSO ALSO ALSO this is unrelated to everything else but I found out tonight that BRANDOSANDO is speaking at my cousin's high school graduation!! I'm in shock and awe and I wish that was my graduation!!
Anyway, hope y'all have/had a wonderful day today. You guys deserve it
