I don't know. But it doesn't really matter.

It doesn't change how good of a birthday I have.

And I've had a great one!!

  3. He'll find the Hemalurgic Spike in it. He'll probably ask for more spikes to become an Inquisitor.
  4. Wait, but...what about Wormholes?
  5. Nope. NHIE been in a car accident.
  6. Don't you hate it when a story devastates you and rips your heart to shreds and then you have to pause and can't find out what happens next?

I've never been devastated by a story. Didn't cry for Bridge to Terabithia, Book Thief, Tien, Elend...

Only two stories have made me cry with any level of consistency: Coco (Pixar) and Toy Story 3 (also Pixar). Both because they went ham on the melancholy rather than "noooooo dead love interest"

I stayed up later than I should have to try to get a little resolution in said story.

I got a whole bunch of sympathy for the betrayer, a glimpse of hope, and then watched it all crash down again. And then another glimpse of hope.

And that other glimpse of hope is where I stopped...

But I still don't know how it's all going to settle.

      What story is it?

  7. I mean....we could go back and check all the gaps... NHIE pronounced NHIE as "knee" in my head.
  8. While such connections are cool to notice, I think Sanderson has made it very clear that The Wheel of Time is not his work and not his universe. He respects it far too much to try to pull it away from Robert Jordan. It's Robert Jordan's story in Robert Jordan's universe, and Sanderson isn't going to infringe on that. Also there aren't enough Shards left. Still, it is fun to find little similarities like that...
  9. Well, I just spent a week in Hawaii. No one told me until right before I got on the plane to the islands. I thought I was going to Utah.

    Anyway,

Secret Project 3 was incredible. Finished basically the entire thing on my long flights today. Definitely the best of the secret projects so far (Tress is still very good, though).

I don't want to go into it too much yet, as I'm also very tired. And I have another week long family reunion on the other side of the family starting...well, basically tonight.

But yeah. A very, very good book.

Also, Bookie, how many palm trees did you climb? The answer CANNOT be none. It’s not allowed.

  10. Behold, these are some strange little symbols that mean things.
  11. Are you ever baffled by the infinite nature of the number of worlds?
  12. I saw it. It was very, very good. Multiverses are fun. I wish I was more of a Marvel Fan.
  13. I approve of this new profile picture.

  14. Bookwyrm's Mind Light exploded through the dark void, brightening everything. The purple tinge of Bookwyrm's soul faded to a pure whiteness. The Stars Insa had wrapped in Lightning exploded into brightness, and the universe that was Bookwyrm became his own once again. Near the Rampart of the Southern Cliffs Bookwyrm had collapsed on the ground from Insa's initial strike of lightning. He groaned, then sat up. I...I'm... Welcome back, friend. You? Yes, me. And I think, after that, introductions are no longer needed. Bookwyrm tried to think of something to say, but nothing came. He felt like himself again. The Kaos was still in him, of course, but the presence...the suffocating mind that had ridden along with his own...was gone. He was free... Bookwyrm opened his eyes and saw Insa standing over him. "You....saved me?"
  15. Bookwyrm's Mind Astwyr struggled against the Kaos that tried to attack Insa's conscious as she threaded the Net together in Bookwyrm's mind. Fill the net with Light, now, Insa. Push the Kaos back. The Net will act as a shield and a prison, holding the darkness back until it is vanquished. But you have to tighten it.
  16. Bookwyrm's Mind The Light from Insa's lightning pierced the barrier around Bookwyrm's mind. The Kaos within him surged, but the Light deep in Bookwyrm's soul managed to hold it back. Astwyr's presence flooded the Mindscape. The mind had been darkened by Kaos's influence, but the structure; that was the same. This was still Bookwyrm. Several point's in Bookwyrm's mind revealed themselves to Insa as Astwyr highlighted them. Go to these "stars", Astwyr told Insa. Find these focal points in his being and connect them with your Lightning. Make a net, same as he did for you. I will protect you from the Kaos.
  17. I will from now on see that horrific abbreviation for "laugh out loud" as someone holding their hands up in utter and complete surrender.
