    I have a marching band competition on Saturday so I'll likely miss the first two sessions....sad. Gives me something to listen to later on, though.

    Bookwyrm briefly managed to surface from the great rapids of inactivity, gasping for breath. He saw an unfamiliar world with an unfamiliar plot. Then the rapids took him again, drawing him into the depths.

    Granted, it does so one year after the due date. I wish that I could do my college applications easily and on time. And that they will be successful applications.

    I see how it is. You're too stubborn to change. I don't know your nature. I don't know what kind of being you are. But I am not for a moment believing that you truly have her best interests at heart. We are surrounded by people with the power to change the passage of fate. We are allies with the Creator himself, now. If you still believe that we cannot change things, then for a being of your position you are incredibly shortsighted. Things will change. If she's facing her past, it will be on her own terms. Not the terms you, in your misguided logic, think are correct. "Insa...I'm going to break your connection to Saar."

    Something's off with my writing.

    I can create an incredible idea for a story, for characters, but when it comes to actually writing it down, in words, something is off. It doesn't feel right, like it's missing something. I don't know how to have the descriptions and dialogue tell a story, instead of just being fillers or describers for a world I invented. There's a simple indescribable nuance that's in every piece of fiction I've read that seems to be missing when I write. And I don't know how to get that. And it's hard to even identify what exactly I'm missing.

      Though, I think my problem is sometimes that my descriptions take away from the story instead of supporting it. I'm pretty good at making a physical setting, the descriptions just seem to drag on for so long...

      hmmm... try and stick to descriptions that pertain to the scene. And, if it's a lot of world building, make it happen in either dialogue or be shown to the characters. If you haven't already, watch Brandon's writing videos.

    Quick, how do I stop that very large boulder from smooshing us in two seconds?! Only if you buy me a literal boatload of ice-cream first. I don't mean canoe, speedboat, or even yacht sized-boatload. I mean like shipping tanker boatload.

    Bookwyrm squeezed Insa's hand again. He studied her face carefully, and reached out with his mind, slipping past her mental barriers. He found the presence speaking to Insa. Carefully, he created a connection to it, then separated that connection from Insa's mind, leaving her unable to eavesdrop on the conversation. So, he sent to Saar. Let's have a chat now, you and I.

    I don't want them to be attracted to my height, I want them to be attracted to my me. And I don't want height to be my me. Besides, @InfiniteInsanity and @TheGreatSnail and @shortcake tease me about my height far too often anyway, so I don't really know how appealing it seems. It's also convenient that that conversation got started without me being quoted or pinged.
