  1. Calev sighs. "You should have been paying attention when I introduced myself." He turns to Eddie. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to help, Eddie. That monster..." he sighed. "Nevermind. I'm sorry." @Edema Rue
  2. Calev clambered through the broken window. "Why'd you leave me behind?" He asked Vena. "And how's Eddie doing?"
  3. "Blast." Calev lost sight of the creature as it turned into the woods. He dismissed the rifle and ran towards the forest. As soon as he reached the trees, he summoned a handgun and started firing again at the creature. "Hey!" he yelled. "This way!"
  4. Caleb cursed. I'm not going to reach her on time. He called forth a Blueprint in his mind, then took some of his Starlight and solidified it. A sniper rifle glittered into existence. He stopped running and fell to one knee, then took careful aim at the rolling creature. At what he hoped was just the right moment, he fired, the glittering projectile flying hard and true towards the monster.
  5. Caleb saw the monster emerge in the distance through the broken window. His eyes widened, then he dove through, rolling on the snow. He stood up and began running with supernatural speed towards Eddie and the monster. @Edema Rue @The Wandering Wizard @The Aspiring Archivist
  6. Caleb stands confused for a minute, then follows Lilyana and Aster.
  7. "Oh. My mistake. I guess I wasn't paying as much attention to the conversation." He politely shook Lilyana's hand. "Thanks." "You're not a Lightwielder though, are you?"
  8. Calev had been sitting silently on the other side of the train car, though he took specific note when he heard this. In a lull in the conversation, he interrupted: "Lilyana...you say you can draw on the stars for power?"
  9. "That's what it's for." Calev glanced at this corner of the train car, a very confused look on his face. What in the worlds is going on here?
  10. "I had enough Light to solidify the Blueprint, yes, but nowhere near enough for a Jump." "I'm Calev Arsec, I'm a Lightwielder, and I'm on the run. That's all you need to know for now." "Starlight," Calev said simply. Calev coughed. "If you don't mind, could you tell me where exactly in the Moving Mountains this train is stopping? What's your final destination?
  11. Calev raises an eyebrow. Ooookay.... Calev takes a mental note. I stumbled on something here. I don't know what, but something... Calev looks at Eddie, somewhat baffled. "Um..." He's saved a response as Vena speaks again. "Fine. They're called the Makers. Though, if you want to know what exactly was chasing me, it was called an Eater, and you're very lucky that it probably won't be heading near those mountains." "Luck, being honest. I found a getaway right when I needed it. I don't know how I would have escaped otherwise, considering how low I am on resources."
  12. "You'd rather not know."
  13. Calev met Vena's eyes. His irises were a striking silver. "Hm," he said simply, and his gun vanished in a glittering light. "Who I am should not concern you. As long as you aren't one of them, I mean you no harm. And," he continued, "I can tell you aren't one of them." Calev's eyes darted to Elan 2. "Thanks," he said. "I worked hard for it."
  14. The boy looked at his hand in surprise for a moment, then the silvery gun re-materialized as if out of glittering light. He shot a wary look at Vena. The boy's head snapped towards Lilyana as she spoke, then he closed his eyes and leaned his head back. "Oh, thank the stars," he said under his breath. Then he slowly got to his feet, though he didn't dismiss his handgun. "Um. I'm sorry to intrude...You can call me Calev."
  15. The owner of the mysterious hand lets Eddie pull him into the train car, collapsing on the floor and gasping for breath. He's a boy of about seventeen or eighteen years, with dark brown skin and short curly hair. He wears a large waterproof jacket, cargo pants, and hiking boots, all in colors of grey and black. He also wears a sturdy backpack, and is holding a silvery handgun. "Where," he asks between gasps for air, "is this train going?"
  16. A muffled "help" comes from outside the window, along with some more unintelligible words. A gloved hand seems to be trying to open the window from the outside.
  17. A mysterious thump sounded against the side of the train car, followed by a knocking and a muffled voice from one of the windows.
  18. Quiet, Bookwyrm Commanded, silencing Saar. Don't make assumptions about the future. Or the power that we hold in our hands, the power to shape destiny. This is our future now. And you are not one to say otherwise. "I think you have a little more power in yourself than you think," Bookwyrm said, smiling. "You're pretty amazing." He looked into Insa's eyes. Her image blurred slightly through a watery film, and a lump formed in his throat. Without warning, he wrapped Insa in a hug. "Worlds, Insa...it's good to have you back."
  19. I separated you from her. I won't let you hurt her anymore. "I..." Bookwyrm paused. "I see things, Insa. I understand things without knowing why, sometimes. It's part of being a Worldseer. "How do you feel, now?"
  20. "She's hurting you. Holding you back. And I won't let you feel that pain anymore." Astwyr. I understand. Bookwyrm channeled mental energy given to him from the astral god, and used it to slice the connection between Saar and Insa. Then he took that same energy and wrapped it around Saar, trapping her. He tied that prison to a part of his mind, forging another connection, less permanent.
  21. Happy (early?) Birthday!
