The Person Below Me
The Bookwyrm replied to The Awakened Salad's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I don't particularly like it all that much....but I'll do it occasionally. TPBM sometimes finds it confusing to write non-human characters. (Non-humanoid non-human characters.) -
Long Game 90: Undiluted Powers
The Bookwyrm replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This was fun! As this was my first SE game, I've learned that I have a lot to learn, and that no one yet knows what is suspicious for me and what isn't. So, I will be playing a lot more SE in the future. Thanks to everyone!- 788 replies

Fortunately, Unfortunately
The Bookwyrm replied to SymphonianBookworm's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Unfortunately, all the fiendish fiends of fiendland had Cadmium. -
I'm not going to comprise a whole list right now because that'll take too long. But here are a couple. I'll put more on this thread later, maybe. The Ender Saga, by Orson Scott Card. (And the Shadow Saga, I suppose, but I enjoyed that less.) The First Binding, by R. R. Virdi. Recently published, recently read by me. Check it out; it was very good. Uh....That's all I have, right now. Most of my favorites have already been listed by other people. In fact, I should peruse this thread for book suggestions...I need a new book to read.

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!
The Bookwyrm replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
I don't think I've ever posted on this thread. I don't have anything specific that I am troubled with at the moment. What I do want to say is how storming amazing it is that a thread like this exists. I've lurked here occasionally. It's so impressive to me how willing people are to share their troubles with people they've most likely never met, and maybe never will meet, in person. And then it's also so inspiring to see the responses; the hope and support that people are so freely willing to give, and how powerful those messages are. I'm not someone who really goes and asks for emotional support when I have problems. I also don't have many of the mental troubles that I think are so prevalent among today's society. I think that's really unfair. Why should all these amazing and wonderful people have to suffer, while I seem to be able to avoid the brunt of it? Perhaps that's why I don't go and ask for help, even when I maybe should. ...Even so. This place is amazing. I'm thankful for those willing to share hope and light, and for those willing to be vulnerable enough to seek it. I support all of you. And I should and probably will post here more often. -

Granted. You are shunned by the society of nerds you have come to be a part of. I wish for food. I'm hungry. -

I put Truthwatcher because that's what the test gives me, and what fits my personality and ideals the best. But Windrunner also closely fits me, and what the test gave me a few years in the past. I'm just both.

Chapter 4. Falling behind a little bit, but hopefully I'll get back on track soon. Something is telling me that this book might be more than 50,000 words...

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
"The Archive was built by ancient Worldseers," Bookwyrm said, containing his mild surprise at Willa's sudden attitude change. "Information has been lost over the ages. Even though we still exist as an organization, we have a long history. Besides, most of our operations have been outside this multiverse. I'm probably the first Worldseer to visit here in...well, in a long time." Bookwyrm turned to the rest of the group. "Make your preparations. Gather information, gear, equipment, and whatever you need. We'll meet back here in three hours, and then depart." @Shining Silhouette @MysticalShadows @Rabbit Unmade @Thaidakar the Ghostblood @InfiniteInsanity -
Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
"I have one lead. The village Insa and I just visited was founded by the allies of Worldseers. That's something I should note: even though the creation of the Archives was spearheaded by Worldseers, many other people and organizations helped in their creation. "Anyway, they claim to have knowledge of the location of the Sixth Archive. We should return there first and start asking around." -
Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
"Exactly. And...I've heard rumors about them, before. I'm sure they exist. As for where...that's going to be the hard part. But I'm assuming that the information in the Fourth Archive has clues to the whereabouts of the other ones." This piqued Bookwyrm's curiosity. "I haven't read that yet," he said. "Does it have any relevant information, as to the locations of the other archives?" -
Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
@Shining Silhouette @MysticalShadows @InfiniteInsanity @Rabbit Unmade @Thaidakar the Ghostblood Bookwyrm gathered everyone who had accepted the call into his office. He hadn't been aware that he actually had an office until that point, but he'd put it to use. He'd changed into a more modern traveling outfit: A blue t-shirt over a long sleeved black one, fingerless gloves and gauntlets, black cargo pants, and sturdy black hiking boots. His small pouch of infinite space was tied to his belt. He seemed to be reading something projected onto his glasses' lenses. Once everyone had arrived, he stood up and addressed them. "Thank you for accepting the offer to join me in this mission. Calano has tasked me with assembling a specialist force that will track down the locations of the other Archives. For those of you not aware, the archives are vast collections of information created by an ancient Worldseer." Bookwyrm paused. "I can't really explain what the Worldseers are right now, but suffice it to say, I am...a very important member of their organization." He continued. "The Archive I discovered was titled The Fourth Archive, and was unfortunately destroyed by Kaos soon after I discovered it. Luckily, I was able to create a complete copy of the Archive's entire collection of information, so none of it was lost. A copy of all that information now resides in this Clinic's own library. "We have reason to speculate that there are other Archives scattered across the Clinic's multiverse. Our mission, then, is to find those archives, copy their information, and use the information within them to aid in our fight against Kaos." He smiled to the group. "Any questions or concerns?" -
