  1. Feel free to ask me, too, as I was the one who told Wizard that riddle.
  2. "Why is your profile picture a dragon playing the snake game and losing?" - My brother, watching me be on the Shard.
  3. Yep. I love that movie.
  4. "The cognitive realm is something separate from his mindspace. We need to be asleep in order to enter it." Bookwyrm paused. "At least by the methods that I understand. The cognitive realm....is more of a place shaped and warped by the mental activity of all collective beings. Entering someone's specific mind, through dreams, is quite different. "Though," he continued, "You should still be able to use magic in the dream. Even if it's not actually occuring in the real world. So an Elsecaller would be appreciated."
  5. I've seen this movie so many times I could probably quote the entire thing from memory. This is from a movie with some really good quotes. I'm just using some obscure one's. (Hint; they're both said by the same character, and both addressed to Arthur.) "You musn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling." "Your condescension, as always, is much appreciated, Arthur.” This is also from a movie with really good quotes, but I'm once again using an obscure one. "Popcorn at a ball game is unnatural. I want a hot dog." Kusco, complaining about Kronk, from the Emperor's New Groove.
  6. "We'd also need to make sure that no one intrudes on the subconscious team while we're all asleep," Bookwyrm said. "Time moves faster in dreams, but we'll still need at least half an hour of real time." He paused. "Can anyone here burn bendalloy?"
  7. I would like to intrude here to say that the Man Lying Dead on the Forest Floor Riddle came from me. I was the one who introduced it to the shard. @The Wandering Wizard, if you want me to take over, let me know.
  8. "I can lead the subconscious team," Bookwyrm said. "We'll need to plan an entire separate heist once we get into his mind, though. And we'll need a specialized team."
  9. Bookwyrm pulled out a strange metal briefcase. When he opened it, it held a collection of strange machinery, vials for sedatives, and a timer. "We could use this. Of course, if we have skilled Telepaths, Cytonics, or other people skilled in magical mental manipulation, we may be able to facilitate the shared dreamspace without the need for technology."
  10. Especially when compared to the army of the Ghanderflaffle Empire, which was rising.
  11. "I'm a Windrunner. And I still think we should infiltrate Santa's subconscious."
  12. "Hm...We'll need broomsticks and invisibility cloaks. And not the cheapo kind, either." Bookwyrm paused for a moment. "We could also use Windrunners, but broomsticks are a little easier if they have detector fabrials."
  13. Bookwyrm appears. "I'm in. I propose we enter Santa's subconscious through his dreams in order to extract the secret to defeating him."
  14. "The sandwich can't be destroyed, which includes splitting it."
  15. He was great at stealing stuff, but specialized in stealing planets.
  16. Gets a cryptic lesson that no one quite understands yet. (Plus a place for your pet larkin to hide.) Inserts a dead larkin in a paperweight.
  17. Ruins of Tal'rin Bookwyrm lunged for the mysterious fire being. I'm just going to call it an Ember. The Ember hissed with the sound of crackling fire as Bookwyrm's sword pierced it's arm. The arm temporarily disintegrated, but re-formed soon after. A spurt of flame came from it's other arm, spiraling through the air towards Bookwyrm. He easily deflected it, as he had access to several magic systems that gave him control over fire. Control... Bookwyrm dismissed his sword. "Insa!" he yelled. "Can you distract it for me?" @InfiniteInsanity
  18. Using an AI, I created a piece of art that re-made this:

  19. My characters don't have enough trauma in the book I'm writing. Well....one of them watched his entire species die around him, but there are more now so he's fine.
  20. Rym disguised himself as Bob# 49 to eavesdrop on the conversation for his Narrator.
  21. This thread is weird.
  22. I pull out a book and start reading. Man, I'm hungry. I wish I had a sandwich.
