  1. I do indeed. TPBM does not have a spine.
  2. Dreamscape: The Sixth Archive As Bookwyrm stood there in the Archive, a feeling of dread slowly began to creep up on him. His Allsight. What? he thought. Suddenly the power overtook him, and he was thrust into a turmoil of feelings. *** He could feel multiple evils approaching. Where there had once been light, darkness. Those he loved were changing, drifting. The ones he thought were allies weren't... A man in blue robes stood in front of a group. Worldseers. They had spent years here. But something was wrong. As Bookwyrm watched, their robes turned red, their power shifted and corrupted. "Today, we cast off the mantle of those who would simply observe! We make the commitment to change worlds, not just watch! "Today, we become the Worldshapers!" He saw them imprison a being of malleable substance - Gloppy? - in the depths of the Dreamscape. He saw them take their Archives and gather information, not just to store, but because they were planning something. The Worldshapers hid themselves across universes, waiting.... Bookwyrm's vision drifted from the past and to the present and future. The dread he had buried re-surfaced, powerful. He felt an oncoming feeling of wrongness, like those he had once trusted would betray him... Something was stirring. *** Bookwyrm jolted from the vision and quickly composed himself. He hoped Thaidakar hadn't noticed. But his reaction had been very sudden... He fought to contain his horror. Worldshapers... @CalanoCorvus @Shadowed @Thaidakar the Ghostblood
  3. What is the answer to this question? Is the answer to this question no? Have you seen Inception, Interstellar, Tenet, and/or Arrival? And if so, what did you think?
  4. This explosions? (Technically spoilers for Tenet)
  5. Bookwyrm turned to Kris. "So, do we have assignments? Or are we still figuring that out?" @Channelknight Fadran
  6. Avi pulled herself onto the crystal platform beside Il'anque, collapsing in exhaustion. But she held the spell. She felt the normally faint starlight as warm as the sun, and it gave her strength. But her magic was one that took centuries to perfect. Centuries that, because of her ancestry, she would have. But at barely below two decades of life, she didn't have the focus to hold it for long. Even with the stars' light and strength. Avi groaned as her energy continued to drain, but she kept the stairwell solid. @NerdyAarakocra @Frustration
  7. Dreamscape: Sixth Archive Bookwyrm put a hand on his chin, thoughtful. "I wonder if you somehow came here physically. Like...rather than your physical body being somewhere else and this just a manifestation of your mind and powers, this is somehow actually you standing here." Bookwyrm shrugged. "Though I don't know if that's even possible..." Bookwyrm looked around the cavernous Archive. "By the way, do you know where the central Datacenter is? I want to download the information in this Archive into my tome like I did for the Fourth Archive. Besides knowledge of....personal value, there should be information on how to defeat Kaos." @CalanoCorvus @Shadowed
  8. Avi froze. "Tl'ik," she cursed. We do not need another monster right now. An idea struck her. But she hesitated, as it would mean a very obvious use of starmagic. Wizards couldn't make glowing platforms using the elements. They've already seen you use it, a part of her said. If they don't already suspect you're a Warlock Demigod, they'll figure it out soon enough. Avi sighed and channeled the magic in her blood. Starlight solidified into shimmering white platforms, slightly translucent, that formed a stairway up to the crystal platform. She jumped from her position on the rock wall and landed on one of the platforms. She felt the strength draining from her body at an alarming rate. "Get everyone up to the crystal, now!" she yelled. "I don't know how long I can hold this!"
  9. Dreamscape: Sixth Archive Bookwyrm saw Thaidakar's eyes glint red briefly. A faint seed of worry took place in his mind. He quickly buried it. This is Thaidakar. "To be honest, I'm not all that sure. We were mostly focused on finding the Archive, based on the clues we found in Tal'rin. The three of us were part of the expedition, but everyone else is still back on a planet called Ravelast, which holds one of the gateways into the Dreamscape. I'm sure they're up to stuff, but I've been a little focused on this."
  10. It was confusing. Meanwhile, Bookwyrm drifted, a war happening in his soul. Chaos had overtaken the fabric of the thread. We all know that you're going to succumb, the voice told him. It's undeniable. You've accepted it. Now accept that this is your sole existence and purpose. To permeate the chaos. Nothing else. You are more than this, something else said. Yes, it is a Narrator's nature to move forward the timeline of this existence, no matter the cost. It's inescapable. But that doesn't mean you aren't more. You've made friends. Helped others on their path. Given homes to those who needed them. You've created. People, creatures, worlds... And for what? Creation means nothing here, amongst countless others, ripe to be destroyed in an instant by the meandering of another. No...Bookwyrm said. No? I am more than what you say I am, he resolved. Yes, I am a Narrator. But I am still me. So you've made your choice, the dark voice said as it shifted. It's shell became brighter, but it still held darkness in it's heart. I cannot stop you from holding onto your resolve. But I still exist. You cannot banish me so easily, Narrator. I Have POWER! Bookwyrm was thrown back into reality on the dusty plain of a distant world. A figure stood across from him. He looked vaguely like Rym, perhaps. Or maybe it was that Rym had looked vaguely like Bookwyrm all along. Indeed, this newcomer took it's shape from the Narrator it had freed itself from. "Ah," he said. "So good it is to breath the air of a world." Bookwyrm summoned his Narrationblade, gleaming with blue light. "Let's have none of that, shall we?" the figure said as he summoned his own; a dark shadow of Bookwyrm's own blade. "Yes, I have a Narrationblade," the avatar replied. "Though I am but a dark, twisted shadow of you, I have inherited much. Enough to be regarded among Narrators themselves. All I need is a name...one fitting of the nature of this thread..." He smiled after a moment. "My name is Avatar. Avatar Avatar, to be precise. Free, unchained to any Narrator." "Unchained, perhaps," Bookwyrm said. "But not unconnected. I have control over you." "To a degree," Avatar said. "But I'll find a way to solve that eventually." He laughed, and then, in a dark twisting of space, vanished. Bookwyrm was left alone on the surface of an abandoned world. Unburdened by guilt, but with a new adversary. He had his third avatar. And this one was going to be the hardest of them all to manage.
  11. Dreamscape: Sixth Archive "Worldseers gain access to a variety of magic systems as they travel," Bookwyrm said. "I wouldn't put it past them to create this place, and hide one of their Archives in it." He fell silent for a moment. "Though I'm beginning to doubt that the "Worldseers" who called these universes home were even Worldseers anymore...they're too different. But I suppose that's a discussion for another time." He walked up to Thaidakar and held out a hand. "It's good to see you again, friend. How'd you find yourself here?" @CalanoCorvus @Shadowed
  12. Dreamscape: Sixth Archive Something that the strange goop creature had said bothered Bookwyrm as they followed it through the Archive. Something bad about you...Worldseer... Why would Worldseers be bad? Unless something happened to these offshoots... Bookwyrm was torn from his thoughts as he noticed a shadowed figure studying a map. This had to be the person the goop was talking about...a Worldseer? A researcher trapped in here for countless millennia? But there had been no other unconscious bodies at the gateway...perhaps there were other entrances into the Dreamscape. "Uh, hello?" Bookwyrm called to the figure. @CalanoCorvus @Shadowed

  15. Bookwyrm arrived at his designated room and found a trunk of clothing. He already wore a travelling tunic and cloak, but the chain mail under the tunic and the smaller plates of armor probably wouldn't look the best. And on top of that, the general style of his clothing matched that of a traveler from his homeworld, so it probably wouldn't work the best. He rummaged through the trunk, looking for an outfit that would work. Eventually he settled on a fancy blue tunic reminiscent of a jacket, with long sleeves and silver buttons running down the middle. He chose a pair of black trousers and boots to accompany them. Then, after studying the fashion of the cloaks for a moment, he touched the white gemstone that adorned the clasp of his own cloak. The garment changed shape and design, holding it's deep blue color, but shifting to the style of the cloaks from this world. Lastly, he selected a black top hat with a blue ribbon running around the base. This is...surprisingly fancy, Bookwyrm thought. At first he thought the hat would have clashed horribly with the tunic and cloak combo, but with the right style it turned out well. He changed the shape of his staff; it lost its metal ornamenting and shortened its length, so it became more like a dueling cane. Adjusting his glasses, he stepped out of the room and walked back to the main room.
