Okay. I should probably sleep now. Or all my friends that are concerned for their friends' wellbeing will yell at me. -

If by "treating" you mean "sneaking into the kitchen and eating food that was once served to me but is now leftovers", then treating. But both my parents are really good cooks. So having it served to me is also very nice. Should you be sleeping right now?

That second thing made me laugh, rendering the first thing false. No. You're a really cool person and deserve to be around really cool people. -

No, the really cool people part. Even though technically I first met you in the state south of here. But you live here, and you're a really cool people, so there. WHAT THIS IS A THING GIRLS ARE WEIRD Hiccups are invisible, insubstantial creatures that feed off of human breath. I've managed to almost perfect the technique of getting rid of them after their first few gulps of air. But it doesn't always work. My dad can do this thing where he just hiccups once and then doesn't do it anymore. Like a sneeze. But a hiccup. -

I dunno, Sil. The state we live in might be a state of befuddlement. In that it can be so boring but have such really cool people at the same time. Cellist included. -

I've always imagined that Roshar would develop technology that has the same effects of our Earth technology, but it would be achieved through a completely different means. Namely, fabrials. I think they'd get to a point where they'd be able to do everything we're able to do, but rather than electricity or computers or radio or whatever they're using Fabrial mechanics to produce the same effects. Same quality of life, but it would look very different than what a more Earthlike planet such as Scadrial would look like. What exactly would a fully developed Fabrial society look like? I have no idea. But I bet it would be pretty cool.

Based on this and the post in tCoJCoLDS (is that abbreviation allowed?) thread, I have determined that you have a habit of inserting the word "scudding" into compound words. In my experience, conversations with girls greatly depend on the girls. Insanity and Ranryu can easily attest that I hold perfectly normal conversations with them on a basically daily basis. (Perfectly normal by our standards. All those normal non Sanderfan people are baffled by us.) There are other girls in the ward that I can usually talk to normally without a problem. But the "normal" girls? They're just weird. Like, your standard high school girl (you should know what I'm talking about) is someone that I cannot hope to interact with on a normal level. But frankly that's also the case for standard high school boys. So it depends so much more on the personality than it does the gender. At least in my experience. Cellist, you are an interesting, wonderful, intelligent, eternal being who has potential beyond what any of us can comprehend and value above that of anything we can imagine. Just thought you should know. -

I approve of all the space. I like space too much. The self referencing is...kind of strange....but if it's the vibe (I can't believe I just used that word) you're going for, then it's fine. It's a good prologue. Or perhaps preface... I can't wait to see where you go with it!- 13 replies

What's going on on this thread these days? I'm just asking so I can enter the conversation without having to read stuff. -
I know I'm kind of derailing the current dragon conversation [Though I can butt in and say that my younger sister came up with a book idea in which people bonded with little "shoulder dragons" if you will] but I want to say something that pertains specifically to the people on this thread. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to receive my Patriarchal Blessing. It was incredible. I...I can't even describe how inspiring, comforting, and eye-opening that was. I was able to feel, beyond any possible doubt, that there was a God who loves me more than I can imagine, knows be better than I know myself, and has a plan for my life beyond anything I can see right now. Some things in there made sense. They fit with who I was and how I interacted with others and the world. Others blindsided me. They proved that my idea for my future did not perfectly align with what God has in mind, which...I'm okay with. Or at least I should be. That experience...it was a huge testimony builder. And now I'm eagerly awaiting the point where it's all transcribed and archived so that I can read it. So yeah. I thought it was worth sharing. I'll bet anyone else here who's received theirs can also bear testimony to how special they are. And for anyone who hasn't gotten theirs yet: Once you're ready, do it. It's oh so very much worth it, and will bring you light and joy. I don't think I've ever been more excited for my future.

Ast'avi glanced down. She'd made better progress than she'd assumed, though Il'anque was still much farther than her. The elf had climbed beyond the toughest point and fastened a rope for her companions to use. Which was nice. Avi had not been looking forward to trying to climb that roof section basically upside-down. With a few minor earth spells, she'd managed to magnetize her hands to the stones. Wizardry was an incredibly helpful tool, and Avi was grateful for it; but it didn't click with her in the way her Starmagic did. She'd been spending years learning Wizardry, but the powers granted by her divine ancestry gave her far more prowess and skill than lifetimes worth of studying would. But her Starmagic couldn't keep her safe from falling while climbing a vertical cliff face, so she'd take Wizardry at the moment. The source of the voice seemed to be another cadet in a red uniform. She had a bow strapped to her back and fire-red hair. I recognize her...Avi realized. It was Kaeni, a fire elemental, and one of Avi's fellow Acolytes. An ally. Avi temporarily disengaged her cloak's magic, coming back into visibility so that Kaeni could see her. "Greetings," she called. "Do you have anyone else with you?" @NerdyAarakocra

Bookwyrm stepped through the portal and took stock of his surroundings. A good sized simple house stood in front of him, as well as some other Fellowship members and a man Bookwyrm didn't recognize. Windaphra, hidden to the eyes of others, flitted up beside his head. His two dragons were resting in his soul. Let's see how this goes. He walked up to the group, noticing Tacien wrapping his arm with a bandage. Bookwyrm wasn't sure where the injury had come from. "Are you okay?" he asked the young boy, knowing that he probably wouldn't get a coherent response. He turned to Cufre. "Do you know what happened?"
