  1. "Oh, are we roleplaying now?"
  2. If I could hie to Kolob in the twinkling of an eye,

What makes you think that I would spend eternity searching for a boundary that doesn't exist?

No, I would spend far too much time being very distracted by every little interesting planet that would now be in my reach.

    Ah...that would be nice.

    Spoiler

The problem is that we have no idea how fast Kolob Eye Twinkling really is, because speed=distance/time, and we don't know the distance and the time is pretty ambiguous.

We just know that it's fast.

    Spoiler

I'm sorry to those of you who don't understand what the heck I'm talking about here.

      Spoiler

I know exactly what you're talking about. :D

      I like planets.

Fun fact: the tune to that hymn is also that of an Irish folk song called "Star of the County Down", as well as an amazing piece of classical music by Ralph Vaughan Williams (who's credited in the hymnbook, I believe).

I feel like if I could hie to Kolob | in a twinkling of an eye…

it’s a star in outer space | so then I would probably die

  3. The Sixth Archive Bookwyrm ran down into the center of the Archive, where the apparatus stood. A pedestal stood in the very center, surrounded by four strange pieces of metal that gathered over the top of the pedestal. Bookwyrm took out his tome - or at least, the dream version of his tome; he was sure the effect would translate - and placed it on the pedestal. The apparatus began to glow. Light filled the Archive, each of the shelves glowing with a white light. That light began to take shape, like threads that slowly wove through the air. They flew from every piece of information in the Archive and into the four pieces of metal. Frankly, it was beautiful. The four metal pieces glowed brightly, then channeled their light into a beam that struck Bookwyrm's tome resting on the pedestal below. The book glowed for a moment, then the room fell dark again, leaving no indication that nothing had changed. But when Bookwyrm opened the magic book, countless pages worth of information had been added. He tucked the book away in his infinite pouch and turned to Matra. A sword appeared in his hand, forged with black and blue metal in with a strange design. "Come!" he said. "We have to help Thaidakar!" @Shadowed @Thaidakar the Ghostblood
  4. Bookwyrm thought for a moment. "How much would it take to buy a cactus?"
  5. I can ice skate now! It only took me three separate stake youth activities separated by a year each!

And I feel slighted, because my eleven year old sister was able to do it within five seconds of stepping on the ice. Because she knows how to roller skate.

Logically I know that, but fear rarely heeds logic.

Being female is fun sometimes. :D

I rollerbladed first. Ice skating ROCKS y’all and it’s amazing and I’m so jealous of you

      So very jealous

This is the same as my personal experience with ice skating:lol:

  6. "Which world?" Bookwyrm said. "There are a bunch here. Also my tastes in board games are very specific complicated games none of you will ever have heard of. And for once I have to agree with Subversion; board games aren't going to help our plot." Maybe I should pay a visit to Eof...
  7. Avi released her spell as the last of the Acolytes made it onto the crystal platform. She collapsed onto her knees. All she could do was watch in horror as the wyvern blotted out the stars and roared with a shrillness that evoked pure terror. Avi closed her eyes. So this is how it ends. No. Avi's eyes snapped open. I have work for you yet, my daughter. Strength flooded Avi; strength as she had never understood before. The light of a thousand distant suns raged in her veins. She stood up, and the starscape hidden in the irises of her eyes glittered with a powerful light, making them glow like spotlights. A vision struck her; not a vision of sight, but a vision of certanty. They would win. Glowing with otherworldly light, Avi gathered her strength. A mini star appeared over each of her hands, glowing with white light. "You're right," she said to Mercury. "This isn't our end." She launched one of her gleaming stars at the wyvern's right wing.
  8. I think I have a problem.

I stayed up too late last night outlining the plot for a fantasized, dramaticized hero's journey version of "The Ugly Duckling".

      Wait

An epic version of Ugly Duckling?

      That would be fantastic...

…if I don’t get to read that my mind will create it on its own.

  9. No. Unless I'm an amnestic pirate who came to Narnia, in which case I have a very big problem. TPBM doesn't want to have to go do the thing they have to go do in the morning.
  10. "Violence is not the answer. It is a question, and the answer yes. #murderhoboforlife" - @The Known Novel
  11. 612bi. If not, the new protagonist may need you to become their mentor. You will grow attached to them and teach them your ways that you learned in your own journey. You will also probably most certainly die.
  12. The Sixth Archive Bookwyrm nodded and turned to Matra. "Let's go." As he turned to run, he heard the scrape of metal on the floor. That isn't good... But he didn't look back. @Shadowed
  13. Dune the book is kind of hard to follow. In fact, I would actually recommend watching the movie (the new one, of course. The other ones are terrible. I haven't seen them) first, because you'll understand the book better then. Also the movie is only half the story. And the rest of those movies aren't based on books.
  14. "...Perhaps. But that doesn't mean I won't keep an eye on him."
  15. The Sixth Archive Bookwyrm dashed through rows and rows of shelves. He couldn't explain the urgency that he felt. But he felt a measure of approaching dread. Something is happening to my friends. He wanted to be in and out as fast as possible. Bookwyrm turned into a larger gap between the shelves, and found a large downwards sloping path down towards the apparatus that would gather the Archive's vast information into a single volume. The Archive downsloped like a shallow crater to that centerpoint. There. @Shadowed @Thaidakar the Ghostblood
  16. "Of course you'd say that." Bookwyrm blinked. "I thought Everyone and Fuzzy and that one other person that I don't remember were your avatars. Was I wrong?"
  17. Dreamscape: Sixth Archive. Bookwyrm watches as Calano collapsed, then vanished. He woke up. "Oh, scud." Bookwyrm spun and ran into the maze of shelves. "We have to find the center of the Archive!" he yelled back to Thaidakar and Matra. "Come on!" @Thaidakar the Ghostblood @Shadowed
  18. What's happening here these days? Besides my victory?
  19. "A manifestation of a Narrator, personified. Or a being imbued with their power. It's kind of complicated."
  20. "I wonder what Frost's real name is." - Me. "Icicle!" - @That1Cellist
  21. Bookwyrm gave Subversion a flat look. "I don't even know if he's completely an avatar," Bookwyrm said. "Yeah, that's the type of being he is, but he's not going to play by the normal rules." Bookwyrm sighed. "I should probably go find him."
  22. Dreamscape: Sixth Archive "Well," Bookwyrm said, "That's the long term goal. Some things need to get settled first. And things keep distracting us. But yes, we want to defeat Kaos." He glanced around the large cavern again, searching for where the center should be. "Oh!" he said. "I know! Does this Archive have those autonomous guides, like the last one did?" @CalanoCorvus
