  1. Bookwyrm will switch to the third person future tense and ask: "What does the restaurant serve?"
  2. "No, I know how to get there...It's just...It's Earth. A generally non-magic world that has way too many dimensional versions of it. I didn't even realize it was connected to the Clinic's multiverse....Which version of Earth is this, anyway?" Earth...It's been a long time...
  3. "Wait, Earth?! That's...what...I mean - Earth?!"
  4. Speaker for the Dead is an amazing book, and you should read it.

    That is all.

I loved the Shadow saga because I had the biggest crush on Bean for like 5 years, I don’t even know why, and then once I started to understand the political stuff slightly more I still enjoyed it.

Bookwyrm, you’re my new favorite person on the shard. :D

That series is so good! absolutely one if my favorite series of all time.

  5. Bookwyrm was horrified to learn that agents of MPI had infiltrated most of NASA. So, hiding under the radar, he gathered the few people who wanted to save worlds and got them out of the country. As they boarded a special plane, Bookwyrm sighed a sigh of relief. "This had better work." @Cash67
  6. Bookwyrm narrowly managed to escape the MPI's headquarters. He took a helicopter to the nearest airport, then an airplane to NASA headquarters. He walked inside and conversed with many of their leaders, beginning the opposition to MPI. "We'll need to organize a new space administration," one of the administrators said. "Bookwyrm, we're putting you in charge." "Me? I-" "No excuses. This is of vital importance." The administrator walked out of the conference room, leaving Bookwyrm alone. Well...now what?
  7. The Clinic: Lobby "I don't know who else is able to, but I should be able to make enough Wyrmholes to get everyone to a safe location. Not sure what that location would be, but...I can do it."
  8. Sparks. Bookwyrm met Emma's eyes for a brief moment before vanishing. This isn't over yet. @The Wandering Wizard The Clinic: Lobby "I'm actually not staff," Bookwyrm said as he appeared. "Just a close friend of people who are. Namely Calano. Who's not here." Bookwyrm ducked the attack of another Kaos tiger and sent an arc of power at it, shredding the space around it. The tiger was ripped apart by the sudden gravitational turbulence. "Where are the rest of the patients?" he asked Nameless and Insa. "And who else is down here?"
  9. I don't dislike it. It's good music. But it's not my favorite. Do you consider your music tastes unique?
  10. Avatar shrugged. "Not completely sure, honestly. A dark part of the Plotblade. Plot in and of itself isn't good or evil, but it can contain both in large quantities. And many other things besides that. I'm...filtering the blade, so to speak, so that the swords that are left behind fit my preferences." He held up his colorless sword. "And because of the unique properties of these Plotblades, shards of the original Sword of Plot himself, the power level stays the same."
  11. "'Makes sense?' You've been blinded. You can't see truth now. What makes sense for you in your case does not reflect the reality that you can't see. "But I promise you: We'll make sure you'll be able to see the light again." Bookwyrm vanished. Then Kaos is more blind than I thought. Comes with relying on Darkness for sight instead of Light, I suppose. Bookwyrm teleported to where Emma was and swung his spear in a downward arc towards her, it's speartip wreathed in light and flame.

  13. "It's really the only thing you can do? With technology to do this you can't do anything else to help people?" I'm not worried about that...
  14. Lava is earth. Lightning is...it's own thing. Of the four, just fire.
  15. Bookwyrm stared at Symphonian flatly. "Starvation? That's the best excuse you could come up with? If you really cared about these people, you'd be cultivating stable, nutritious food sources. You'd work on economy and biology. I recommend Entomophagy; if we switch to eating bugs as a staple food source, we could create a stable food source, help slow climate change, and further a stable system. And it would be far easier to do that then it would be to turn entire worlds into pies. And what happens when you decide to turn our own world into pie? What then? How many deaths will you cause?" "There's always a choice. If you were trying to make your own pie in an empty orbit around a distant, planetless star, that would be okay. As long as you aren't strip mining entire planets to do so. But this? No. I cannot allow such destruction." Bookwyrm pulled out a phone and dialed NASA. "Our worst fears have come to pass," he said. "Initiate the response project. Be ready to call the reinforcements."
  16. "I...I can't allow this."
  17. Okay, I'm back to the Ouroboros.
  18. The Clinic: Roof Bookwyrm smiled. "Isn't it obvious? You knew the answer once, too. You still do, in fact. Kaos has made you think you've forgotten. "If I ever do embrace darkness, it's because of the simple fact that in the dark I can see the light clearer."
  19. "You-you can't just- "What about all the scientists? What will they study? What will drive humanity towards the stars? "Where's the stopping point? When are you going to give up on this monstrous plan?"
  20. Happy (admittedly early) Birthday!

Can't wait to see how Calano explodes about this...

Nah, I knew y'all would come through with this.

  21. "Wait wait wait hold up. "All these things you're talking about turning into pies are beautiful, incredible, intricate worlds with unimaginable histories and natural systems! You can't just go destroy them all by turning them into edible matter to facilitate your hubris or hunger or what have you!"
  22. I can understand the thought that "there couldn't be a God who would let this happen." We certainly live in a world where sorrow and trial is abundantly common. But, if there is an eternal God who loves us with an infinite love, would He let those things happen to us if there wasn't some reason for it all, and if there wasn't some way to overcome and come back from those sorrows and trials? That kind of seems like a twisted worldview, to say that all bad things are for a reason. But I'm not saying that these bad things aren't bad. Pain, especially pain caused by other people, is not pleasant. God sorrows when his children have to endure these things, and those that cause pain will be held accountable, in one way or another. But God has an eternal perspective. We lived as spirits before we came here, and we'll live eternally with glorified bodies after we leave. Our time here on Earth is a very small portion of our eternal lives. In the grand scheme of things, any trials we face here will seem like far too little compared to the rewards we receive for enduring them well. Something that our religion believes that isn't a major part of any other is that, because we are literally God's spirit children, we are also his literal heirs. Those that make the vital covenants in the temple, keep those covenants, and follow the commandments are able to inherit everything that God has, essentially becoming Gods and Goddesses themselves, able to have their own spiritual children, and able to make their own worlds for those children to inhabit. Why would God place us on a seemingly insignificant speck in a vast universe, forced to suffer trial? To learn. To grow. And to become more like him, so that we can be prepared someday to take up what He has, and so that we can empathize with our own children as they go through the same thing. God put us here so we can become more like Him. Of course, we make mistakes, or are hurt by the mistakes of others. That's why God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die for us; so that we would have a way to repent from our sins, be healed from the effects of others' sins, and overcome our trials. Jesus felt every single physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual pain of every single one of God's children. So he knows exactly what you're going through, better than anyone else in the whole world. He's the one that knows best how to guide you through your trials. I've felt his love and guidance in my life. I've felt the love of God and Christ through the Holy Ghost in ways that I can't explain. I've seen things, felt things, that cannot be explained by anyone or anything else. I know this is true. I know that God loves you, and his Son Jesus Christ loves you. Jesus is your literal spirit brother. He's your older brother, one that you can rely on in any situation. He knows what you're going through, and also knows how to help you through that so that you become better on the other side. If you've felt that, don't ignore it. Because it is true. And please, if you have any questions about the Church, ask me, or any of us. We're happy to answer.
