So Brandon mentioned that the composition of the Nightmares is related to Midnight Essence and Nightblood's black smoke. I wonder if this also relates to the material that the Aether of Night assumedly grants the Sorceress of the Midnight Sea control over.

I do think Era 3 will deal with actually bringing Sazed's two intents into balance but I think from the get go they haven't. And I wouldn't say we really seen a "breaking bad" but already "broken bad" so exploring the actual process isn't repetitive.

Eric For the second letter, Rayse is captured and cannot leave the system he inhabits, Roshar. Is the fact that Odium can't leave Roshar a direct result of the Oathpact, or something else? Brandon Sanderson Not a direct result of the Oathpact, but the Oathpact was part of it. Either way reforging the oathpact could stall Odium sufficiently to the point Hoid thinks it's fine to leave Roshar without the implication being Odium completely won or lost.

I wonder if the Imperial Sceptre was needed for Shai to figure out how to carve the Elantrian Soul stamp and I wonder if she updated her martial arts one to include ChayShan. I'd love a novel that includes Shai actually creating this new stamp and getting recruited by the Ghostbloods. As of now onscreen they are 0 for 0 on recruitment of main characters.

Thaidakar has a modern Alethi ligtheyes sound to it as well. It's not universal but a lot of the names are three syllables and end in a consonant: Dalinar, Sadeas, Aladar, Thanadal. -
Regarding Odium I think he might be tied up with a reforged Oathpact. SA6 probably starts with one of the new Heralds (Kaladin, Shallan, Dalinar, Venli, Szeth, Lift, Renarin, Jasnah, with returning members Taln and Shalash) breaking and starting the next Desolation or it the new Oathpact being bypassed as it was implied they were close to the first time. Hoid didn't really care if Odium was defeated so long as he remained bound to the system for the time being.

Whether it felt right to him doesn't mean its necessarily the truth. Sazed stating the Ruin had ALWAYS been stronger implies never having actually been in Harmony.

Could be like a Fused but we don't know if it's necessary for the body to have been alive. Returned get their cognitive selves stapled back to their physical corpses. And they to can influence their appearance via Identity. And Heralds seem to get a physical body created out of nothing? -
I do find it weird to think Sazed would not know about Intent being important to the experiment. Sazed also thinks how Ruin has always been stronger in one of the epilogues.

The Shard's Intent was always Discord, it's just that the Vessel is fully succumbing to it's influence now. Puts the letter from Sazed in RoW in greater perspective.

Further theory, the mold in Elantris that seemingly feeds on the Dor also related? As for the other Aethers it seems like in AoN there is one that can control light and another that can control darkness which is weird since its actually just the absence of something but I assume it has something to do with the cognitive realm and platonic forms.
