  1. Vasher can't actually use stormlight for awakening, he can only use it in place of the weekly breath needed to stay alive.
  2. If it was just a spike it would have killed the person. It was something new to the Basin. Basically worthless except for keeping a Returned alive for another week. And we don't know how much it costs to feed a lower class family for a year in Halladren.
  3. Kinda in the name. We know excisors are used to make medallions and we just saw the set using a device that "excises" part of a person's spiritweb. Where?
  4. It's implied the Set was using the Excisors that are needed to create the medallions. And even then you've got to incentivize people to fill the medallions the cheapest way to do that is exploit a low income demographic. Southern Scadrial (and Ashyn) don't quite need an economic incentive since their populations just die if it doesn't happen but I still foresee some power dynamic stuff going on there when we explore those cultures more.
  5. Which is why it's gunna be real bad when you try to economically incentivize people to do it anyways which is how I see Era 3 and Era 4 going.
  6. But that's not the shard that gets mentioned in SP3
  7. If you are talking about SP3 I'm not sure how what it did constitutes as a desire to survive
  8. With the advent of capitalism it actually became more economical to move away from direct slavery. And hemalurgy has progressed to where it doesn't cause death anymore.
  9. I wonder if the same argument can be made about Scadrians since they aren't actually descended from any prior human populations resulting in "something almost, but not quite entirely unlike tea".
  10. Everyone having Breaths that are transferrable and even treated as a commodity provides an extra incentive to maintain a wealth gap so that there is always demographic oppressed enough to resort to selling their Breaths
  11. A bit of a tangent but one only needs to look to Nalthis for reasons why Sazed might want to oppose Kelsier's plan to democratize Investiture. It easily slides into capitalize Investiture.
  12. In the most recent Intentionally Blank Sanderson mentions Midnight Essence when talking about stuff pulled from AoN.
  13. I found a copy of the trunked novel but haven't got around to reading it. I'll update you if anything specific stands out.
  14. Unless Brandon is intentionally misleading us, which isn't really his style, Felt is human. It's possible that he's died and been replaced by a kandra between Mistborn Era 1 and Stormlight but I don't think that's the case.
  15. Sounds just as speculative as anything else being said
  16. Chaos2651 Seriously, what was going with Bloody Tan? Was he controlled by Autonomy? How did he move with what appeared like atium so Lessie died? It feels like there are a lot of open questions regarding him that we never addressed. Brandon Sanderson Yeah, there are a whole bunch, aren't there! I'm not gonna answer those right now, but I'm glad you're still asking those questions. YouTube Spoiler Stream 5 (Dec. 2, 2022) I'm wondering if this might tie into the supposed serial killer plot of Era 3 and maybe a deeper look at Sliverism as well
  17. I mean this is self evident given that we still have ferrings. I think a WoB states that Hoid was important in saving Terris refugees after the attack on the Synod.
  18. SP1 it seems to be spores and I think in TLM they only refer to it as a "bud" or "seed" but I don't think those are the Aethers themselves just how they connect to their bonded. And different Aethers might use a different "seed".
  19. !7th Shard is seemingly bleeding members then and have yet to be shown doing anything competent. Coppermind says "very Realmatically aware" in regards to the Worldbringers and while they were wiped out by the Lord Ruler the Keepers were basically a spiritual successor and it isn't too much to believe that the Keepers themselves have a spiritual successor of their own post-catacendre. I find it hard to say Worldsingers provably aren't cosmere aware when Hoid is their founder. Still haven't seen enough to say much about the Envisagers and the fact Brandon RAFOed questions about them implies there's still more to learn about them. Being a splinter sect of another doesn't preclude becoming more or less influential than the original. But mainly I'm just saying we don't have enough information for any guess to be anything more than a shot in the dark.
  20. If that Kandra is Felt's wife which people have theorized it would make sense to not really be connected to Harmony since Felt was running around before Harmony Ascended.
  21. Isn't the whole deal of the 17th Shard to not have influence? Anyways I don't think we have enough information to even begin speculating on this. We've really only seen the Ghostbloods in action. Silverlight is a good guess but depending on how much they focus on pure scholarship they might also eschew dabbling in politics or other forms of influence. The Ire we haven't seen enough; the Nightbrigade we haven't seen at all; Sleepless don't really count; Sons of Honor are basically defunct and not really worldhopper as a whole; Worldbringer/Worldsingers/Envisagers we haven't seen enough.
  22. We are supposed to be getting a more indepth look at Sliverism as a religion in the later Eras. I think stories about Marsh getting offworld are probably due to worldhoppers that subscribe to that belief. Also it is Khriss that is reporting on the rumors about him. It is possible that before sending MeLaan out into the cognitive realm Harmony first used Marsh.
  23. I don't think the Aether itself was unmade just one of it's aetherbound. Shallan even implies that it had been human once. And plenty of cognitive shadows start off physical. Also since its power deal with Living Night/Midnight Essence there wouldn't be any crystals; this wouldn't be Roseite.
  24. As for my thoughts on Vasher. Strifelover could been seen as a synonym to Discord. His actions saved Idris even though being a Returned he is reviled in their religion. Vasher no longer sees himself as a man due to being a cognitive shadow. Also even Raoden seems to fit some pretty well. I think these might just be a cosmere constant.
