  1. yo, I saw you interviewed Jennifer Nelson! That's so cool!!!
  2. I’m watching Jubillee’s Mormon vs ex Mormon video and I just wanna say: Tember is my hero. Bro is just awesome and I would love to meet him and give him a hug and talk to him about lgbtq and the church because I feel like I would learn so much from him about his experience and how I need to change my way of talking about it. Tember is awesome.

      What's this about?

Basically, the video is mostly centered around equality and LGBTQ topics when it comes to the church (I stopped it when it arrived on a topic that I get really mad on btw, so I didn't see the whole vid).

The discussion is really really entertaining and enlightening, I've had a few ideas on what potential positive changes can be made that can help both sides while not violating any doctrines that I know of.

  3. I see, I see. I get that 100%. I understand the whole stuff with wanting something more like courting instead of the casual dating culture we have rn, if that's what you're meaning. For me, rn, I don't think I'm mature enough yet for either of those, and, besides, I still need to get over some stupid things I still have in my mindset before I can actually have a respectful relationship with a girl.
  4. lol. Me too sometimes, buddy, me too... But, hey, you can't be as old fashioned as a friend of mine... long story short, he and I have a lot of disagreements.
  5. Crack pot theory time.

I’m going to have my chunky paperback dune in the theater to clutch to my chest as I scream the lines along with Paul while everyone else is giving me annoyed looks. I’m gonna rewatch the movie like the night before I go see the next one. I hope they do Messiah…

      fear is the mindkiller!

Ok ok I was whispering along with the movie like the entire time…sometimes it timed perfectly and sometimes I accidentally said the line a minute early (since, you know, I haven’t seen the movie since it came out and I’ve only read it once)

  6. What is your favorite WoF book and why?
  7. Favorite Cosmere book cover?
  8. Not about the politics, but about Marasi and Twinsoul tracking down Moonlight.
  9. Hey, I'm trying to figure out two names for two organizations in my book. They're both mafia-esque. One is like the bad guys and one is trying to defeat the bad guys. the only names I come up with sound goofy with the modern setting, even if they'd be great in a fantasy world.

I have a friend who always just writes [insert evil name here] until she can think of one, you could try that. And then when people read it it’ll absolutely destroy your dramatic scenes but hey, if it works it works!

  10. Yes, but not about him. I want a Secret History 2 about Marasi and Twinsoul.
  11. About in the path of their duty by elder bednar. I referenced Fleet. i bore my talk and it went well!
  12. Y'all, I am here because I need to remind y'all writers who are just starting out about outlines. When you think of an outline, or when I at least think of one, I think of x heading about y character. That is okay, that is a cool outline and I reccomend doing something like that, at least for your characters to get the ideas out of year head and onto paper. What I'm talking about, however, is not that. Outlining, the deeper meaning of it, at least, is the map of your story. Now, when people talk about this, they usually say like "Ah, yes, bullet points with scenes and such." Now, I really did not understand what that truly meant till yesterday. An outline is not a scene by scene summary, at least it doesn't have to be. An outline is a map to what you want to write. Now, what does that mean? It means that it is not the whole thing. It is different things about what different sections of your story will be. For me, I put down all the stuff I have thought of and can think of that I want in broad terms besides some specific scenes into my outline. This works for me because I write in a very discovery writer way where I basically improvise stuff and keep all the character arcs in my subconscious while I do it, just letting the characters write themselves mostly. Outlines do not have to be specifics or any of all that. An outline is a brief scaffolding set up for your book that you can then use to make a more stable first draft. Then, that outline can help you with the later drafts so you can see what you did wrong structurally and fix it. And, if you need a far more detailed outline, than that's good too! Or if you don't like outlines and are a discovery writer, then don't follow my advice.
  13. I have never read any by Butcher, but this sounds like the perfect collab from all the things I've heard about Jim.
  14. Happy birthday! You're the only one on the Shard who has this birthday!

  15. Behold my glorious afternoon of outlining!!!

It took me my entire afternoon lol, mostly because I kept getting distracted by Diego Luna and Ben Barnes on the movies I was playing while doing it or the Writertok compilations. Otherwise, I prob would have gotten it done in like three or four hours instead of six (I had a lot of breaks in the last two hours.)

*winces* and this is why I'm a discovery writer...

  16. Patrick Rothfuss and Brandon Sanderson would be epic, writing wise, but when it comes to them actually working together, I would doubt it would ever work. If they did a Terry Pratchett-esque book together, I would love it. Leigh Bardugo and Dan Wells would be insanely fun. A Neil Gaiman and Leigh Bardugo collab would be so good. Christopher Paolini and Brandon Sanderson would be sweet. and now for dead author things. Frank Herbert and Christopher Paolini. Tolkien and C S Lewis would just be my dream to read. Like, if this exists and I don't know it, someone let me know and I will run as fast as I can to the nearest book store. C S Lewis and Terry Pratchet. I know they have opposing views on a lot of things, but I feel like with the style of Screwtape and then the way Pratchett weaves Discworld... It could be amazing. John the Revelator and Isaiah. lol. Robert Jordan and Neil Gaiman. Idk, but a more horror WoT book... And, finally... Terry Goodkind and Ayn Rand merely because I think it would be hilarious to read, not because they're funny but because it would be so hilariously bad.
  17. Some store bought eggnog is delicious, a lot of it sucks though yeah. This is the best store-bought one by far, if anyone wanted to know.
  18. Happy birthday! I hope you make more of those epic animations!

  19. Happy Birthday! I hope you're doing well!
