hi
maybe I'm back
maybe not
I don't know yet
-
Heyo! How you been?
-
I have been!
Mostly good, but with some random crying thrown in.
My family missed seeing the long eclipse even though we drove a few hours to be in the path of totality because clouds happened.
I got to take care of small children after their school day ended. This went on for several weeks and was quite fun, but also not.
Also, College. It do be.

I found these in my clipboard.
I may have written this one, it sounds like something I maybe did: "It broke. It broke and I cannot fix it. I cannot build it, I cannot break it again. I cannot name what is broken, I only know that it Is and I will never know how to mend it again." Did I steal it and forget I stole it?
I'm sure I didn't write this one, it doesn't sound like me (it's too good) and I have not even a vague memory of writing it (or something similar) like I do with the other one: "One day the world will be too much for me. Too big. Too vast. I will be unable to stomach it. I will take my first sip of despair and I will watch as the light in my chest goes out. I will keep living, knowing what it once was like to be hopeful."
If one or both of these are yours, or you might know whose they are, please tell me?

I've been doing habits wrong.
But hey, now that I know that (and how to do them better) I might be able to manage essays better!

I have been indoctrinated into the first of the Lord of the Ring movies.
They're cool and I like them and they're cool. And I finally figured out where the "one does not simply" meme template comes from. (Hint: It's not Star Wars.)
Also, apparently my older sister is Galadriel and I'm (a female version of) Pippin.
-
Nice! The Movies are good.

Sorry for kind of vanishing, and I'll be gone for the rest of the week
(FSY! FSY! FSY!)
-
YES
FSY IS THE BEST
JUST BECAUSE I DIDN'T RANT ABOUT IT DOESN'T MEAN IT WASN'T AWESOME
Tip: USE the notebook they give you. And bring another one. Write so, so many words. Because revelation will come as you write.

My brother's an FSY counselor this year (and was also last year), and I think I'm going to apply to be one next year!
I never went to FSY after it became FSY, but I went to EFY twice and loved it both times.

Way back when in the far off times of the Kickstarter, I and my siblings earned the chance for our parents to join the ebook tier.
The only problem now is that my mother doesn't know how to gain access to said ebooks.
Help?

Too much corruption.
-
Does that exist?
-
Yes, it is any amount of corruption.

Potatoes have eyes, right?
So if you hit a potato with a Shardblade, do the eyes burn?
Also, normally if you destroy a potato's eyes, it can grow new ones. If you hit a potato with a Shardblade, can it grow new eyes?

that makes perfect sense, Fadran.

Ahem. You can't hit a potato with a shard blade. The blade would just explode. Such is the power of the potato.

No, only on Roshar. They've got fifty percent more potato per potato there. On Earth they're simply shardblade-proof.

I seem to have missed my Shardiversary. (By about four months.)
Uhm. *awkwardly stands there for a moment*
Should I do a normal Shardiversary thing just late, or should I pretend I did a Shardiversary thing on February 5 when I was supposed to? Does it matter which I do? Is Shardiversary just an optional fun thing or is it a "thou shalt or how dare" kind of thing?

I'm learning to drive, and yesterday I realized something.
When I don't get to drive and I wanted to, it's sad.
When I do get to drive, it's freaky.

I wrote a thing.
SpoilerOnce upon a time there was a young boy named Luis. He started misbehaving more than normal. Calamity rose and there was stuff on TV about Epics. His family made a plan for what to do if one of them or one of their neighbors turned Epic - how to get out and where to go. They even put together ESBs, or Epic Survival Bags. One Saturday, just after an especially bad week of rule breaking, he promised to stay inside. He then proceeded to sneak out with a friend at a moment when nobody was watching him. They went to a small store that was still running as normal and walked out with a stolen toy. His friend was the one to take the toy out of the store. As they started homewards, they got in a verbal sparring match over who should keep the toy. The verbal spar very quickly turned into a physical fight. Luis had thrown the first punch. He went home with a black eye and the toy, while his once-friend went home with a split lip, a bloody nose, and more bruises. When Luis got home, his parents asked him why he had sneaked out. He made something up about a game he and his friend were going to play and told them his friend started the fight.
That evening, Luis’s sister dragged him out of bed, grabbed his ESB, and towed him down the stairs. The whole way down he had no idea what had possessed her, but it became clear as soon as he saw the Father-shaped absence in the living room, facing away from them - and toward their fearful Mother, who had just seen them. Luis watched as her eyes widened further, then narrowed slightly in determination. He watched as she started edging toward the door, watched as the Epic advanced, as Mother sped up, as she grabbed the door handle, as she started to twist it the Epic reached for her she melted into nothing. Just like that. Gone.
And then they were in the basement and no this was wrong this was all wrong they needed to follow the Epic plan, they needed to get out, not hide in the basement. The Epic would find them here, his sister would melt, he would melt, like Mother melted, and they would all be gone, gone, gone, except for an epic made of dark who didn’t want his son or his daughter or the love of his life, who wanted them gone, gone, gone, for no reason at all. His brain was stuck, stuck watching, and he wanted to look away. He wanted to stop it. He wanted to go back and fix what he had done. This was all his fault, wasn’t it. He broke the rules and Father turned into a not-Father. He broke the rules and the red star rose. He broke the rules and the world exploded. It was all his fault. Was it too late to go back, to keep the rules forever? If he kept the rules now, would Calamity go away? Would the darkness give his father back?
They were in the basement. Luis didn’t care. The Epic plan wasn’t a rule, and it was a rule that his sister was in charge when his parents were away. She wanted to stay there all of Sunday, so they stayed.
And the Epic didn’t find them. They didn’t melt. They weren’t gone.
Monday came. They left.
For years, they survived. They moved, they cowered, they hid. Until one day, when Ricochet woke up and his brain was working differently. He knew exactly how high above his head the ceiling was. He knew exactly how far it was to the exit. He knew he could do impossible things.
He knew that no matter what he did, he could never break the Rules.
Or the world would explode again.

So.
the Reckoners RPG is pretty much dead
I'm interested in it
and think there might also be others interested in it
that don't know that others are interested in it
So, I'm going to try to start a reckoners world RPG
in a place that lots of people decide on
with maybe different places and if you want a new place just start a new thread ig
and maybe it won't die immediately
and maybe it will.

Listen
The Reckoners RPG... it's...
...
So you know how Fellowship of the Thing is like the weird second cousin of the RP subforum?
Reckoners is like your fifteenth cousin's (seven times removed) boyfriend's uncle's best friend that randomly shows up to family reunions and board game nights.

I would have gone with the crotchety 100 year old grandfather as an analogy.

So. I'm running a Quick Fix in Sanderson Elimination. It's a chaos game.
I would really like it if a bunch of people came to play...
-
yello.
I'm still dead from your reverse card.
Are you going to resurrect me?

Tani, Fadran and I are all at the same place this week. I shall not be more specific because y'all are internet people.

Can confirm that I cannot take over accounts. Unless you mean editing.
IF ONLY WE COULD EDIT STATUS UPDATES, IPS...And hellooooooo to both of you

Imma be gone for the next two months starting next week. All my folks will drop off the face of the earth until I come back. Feel free to turn them into stone, stuff them into other dimensions, take over until I come back, or ignore them as they follow you around like a Deadeyes until I come back.

Like... for a funeral?

No, no! Like... y'know, let her pass out in front of everybody all dramatic and stuff. That kind of thing.

Ah. Ok.
