Don't try playing mind games with me. Attention is currently away from you. You having a duke might spark interest, but hardly much else. Right now it's a race to having the most coins so you can coup. If you had a duke, you would use it, holding it of now is dumb, I would know seeing as I was going to hold off using my duke until sarcastic died.

Dragons are the apex predator, one of the most powerful mythical beasts, it takes ingenuity, planning, and creativity to take them down, and why humans/ intelligent people, are the ones to evatually take them down. It's like trying to ask what is the natural enemy of a lion. Besides humans, nothing besides other lions really poses a true threat. (Do not call me out on the metaphor, you know what I mean.)

I don't like how they're regarded as enemies. Always seemed dumb to me. But if we had to pick one for dragons, I'd say humans.

We both know if you had a duke, you would've used it, you're smart enough not to choose contessa in a game with no assassins, and I highly doubt you choose ambassoder over other card. So you either have a captain to block stealing and maybe steal depending on whether or not chicken and I give up our captains, it an assassin so you can kill us quickly. SO really, only two and maybe three roles. and where is @Ookla The Female Chicken

We can eliminate duke from consideration. so she has either assassin or captain. Which, miss chicken, you can find out from stealing from her.

Hmm. I guess you can get away from that. How many shrines are there, and what are unique about them? Um, I'm not sure I'd suggest this. Having consequences for using your powers is fine, but your powers are small and simple enough that you don't really need to and these are a bit much, especially when you think of how someone increasing their mental speed would eventually become a vegetable, and what's to stop them from just always using their powers? My novel has people who can manipulate the forces of the universe. Yours are pretty constrained.

I said tasers because it's not lightning that's traveling several miles to the surface, which might change how this works. The mechanics are that people can charge their hands with electricity, no shooting for manipulating or anything, just electricity hands, with varying voltage with the max being whatever is enough to kill a person in a second.

That is not what I have understood from what I have read. Please send me your sources. And also remember this technically isn't lightning and more of a really powerful tazer that doubles as your hand.

It's a paragraph. I don't think you need to spoiler it. So shrines move? Aren't they inanimate objects? And is it difficult to track them? is that part of the challenge is finding them in the first place? Also, note for you, make sure the heroes going to the shrine have difficultly getting through the monsters and the show how much easier it is once super-powered to exemplify their newfound power. What do you mean by opposite effect? Nice and constrained. Forces you to be creative. Keep the shrines in place for studying or exploiting.

You didn't have to summon me. I already saw you messaged here and got curious. Interesting magic system, though I will say be careful with it, as it seems to have both hard and soft elements and those soft elements seem very difficult to deal with in a plot. Magic power I shall suggest is time manipulation, i.e. slow down, speed up, freeze, and that's it. No time travel. That and superspeed. Superspeed is OP.

I agree making a person faint would take some time and not be reliable, though i do think you might cause a heat flash and make someone numb or lose their vision for a short period of time.
