  1. Thaid JNV Stick xino TJ Aman Orlok Bort A more consolidated version has Stick in the top tier and Aman in xino and TJ’s, but this is more accurate. Orlok probably deserves higher but idk TUN doesn’t get placed because inactivity
  2. Retaliation to Stick’s changes :D. Bort I legitimately don’t think I could fake the level of confusion and solving I’ve done in thread and PMs, but maybe I’ll surprise myself the next time I roll elim Like the theory though
  3. Maybe the part I liked the best was the bit of Gavilar redemption. After RoW, he was cast in a super negative light, and I'm glad that in his mind his view of Navani isn't what Navani perceived it was. I remember seeing a joke/meme awhile ago, about the prologues- Book One- Who's Gavilar? Book Two- Noooo, Gavilar! Book Three- Wait, what's up with this Gavilar guy? Book Four- Storm this Gavilar guy! Book Five- KILL HIM, SZETH! GO! GO! Or something like that But I'm glad that it ended up not being like that.
  4. So, when I started Wheel of Time about a year and a half ago, I grabbed a sticky note for my bookmark, a plain yellow one. As I read, I fiddled with it and before too long I had folded it into a semicircle, which I drew a lemon slice onto. This became my bookmark for the Wheel of Time and remained so, until now, 200 pages into book 13, even through the months where I wasn't reading book 10.

Well, today I lost it. Who knows where it is, but it seems my bookmark has passed back into the wheel less than two books to making it all the way through

    :(

  5. I wasn't dismissing e!Stick so much as pushing it aside because I don't want to think about it :P. I'm extremely paranoid about Stick and have spent the last day wracking my head around how in the Light the EoD of D1 makes any sense, and if I should just trust my initial judgement that everyone involved was village since clearly I was right about Archer and Striker before paranoiding the first and 180ing on the second. Still not completely sure how that happened, because I did v read both of them off of my D1 analysis. Think it was Orlok and Stick, which adds to that paranoia. I've mentioned this to a few people, but I'm tinfoiling e!Veteran!Stick and e!Orlok as the remaining team and I'm scared to go for that right now but it almost kind of makes sense. I don't think Stick or Orlok work well as elim without the other, yet they're not e/e based on this turn alone and I just really don't get it, see, that's why maybe I should trust that they're both just village >> Sorry, got off track there :P. It wasn't intended to be a Bort defense, though I get why it appears that way. It sort of evolved into that by accident, I guess, but I feel that I should clarify that I'm still a null on Bort. None of the points I made were supposed to show v!Bort, they were just supposed to show why it wasn't e!Bort. Yes, there is a difference :P. ^This Mmm don't really like this at all, almost makes me want to unvote Orlok :P. But I'm also getting Kas/Orlok QF vibes from you and Orlok, and I could see the same thing being pulled twice in a row so idk That last paragraph of yours just isn't what Orlok said, like, at all. I also don't like how you're voting someone based of a similarity to a villager. (Thinking out loud begins now) I don't really like xino's read list but can't put a finger on why Also getting a bad gut from Aman that I can't really explain. I feel like I'm close to cracking this game open, and that if I had just one more flip then everything would fall into place >> But I feel so lost right now. I'm leaning either to some combination of Orlok/Stick/Bort or Aman/TJ/xino with like TUA thrown in there as the fourth I guess idk maybe there is an elim Veteran. Those last three actually work decently well as a team :P. Yknow what, no. Orlok. I want to vote outside of the mess that is the D1 EoD. There is an elim out of that unless it is just Stick/Orlok and that's an outlandish enough idea that I feel fine doing that. Leaning Aman or Bort right now, maybe TJ, but the problem with TJ is that he's felt village approximately half of the time and elim the other half of the time. I should just post this now or it will continue to get longer :P. Edit: Managed to get longer anyway Possible D1 Araris Connections: (literally every time someone talked about Araris/Araris talked about someone) It's kind of incredible how Araris literally only quoted/responded to me, Striker, Archer, and Stick :P. Leaves exactly one door open for distancing. D1 kinda makes Stick and Araris look e/e except for the part where she initiated his death, but if it's a bus (which, I remind you, was a strategy suggested by Stick) that works. Again I don't want to vote Orlok or Stick today but I think this deserves mentioning.
  6. This was me clicking the notif of your post the second I got it but not thinking of a meme until later And not reloading the page, evidently. I like this idea, I'm currently leaning TJ for that but I really should look closer at xino.
  7. Mmm, subject to change with a reread, but I think I'll go on Orlok after his Bort case. It doesn't work for me, reads like it's manufactured. I don't buy Orlok fixating so hard on this one thing from early C1. It was posted during the idea phase of the cycle, before many opinions were known, and wasn't actually ever pursued. I'm surprised this is still being used as a point of evidence. This takes out all of the context around Bort's vote. The trains were consolidating to Thaid and Stick, and Bort was alone on a side train, so it's plausible that he wanted his vote to mean something. Naturally, with a village read of Stick, he would vote Thaid. His vote put the trains at 4-3 with Thaid still behind, so it wasn't like he was pushing Thaid over the edge. The statement that Thaid's an easy mislynch target is preflipping, but honestly it's a fair preflip so I don't mind that so much- but this paints Bort's vote in a significantly worse light than it actually is. As far as justification goes, let's be honest, there wasn't much anyway, especially D1, especially Thaid :P. I don't see what Bort has to gain for faking confusion about a game term. What you seem to be suggesting is that Bort faked the confusion to start discussion about the bus to force a misexe on one of the Araris voters, but I really don't buy that- not only would that be extremely convoluted, but there were people talking about the bus anyway and Bort definitely didn't need to start that discussion. Which he didn't, Stick and I did :P. Let me ask you this, because it's a question I come across frequently- what does an elim have to gain by posting elim-mindset ideas into the thread? Don't those go to the elim doc? While elim, you're more conscious of what you post and would be careful not to say something that comes across as evil. TJ had the same problem with Archer, and I told the same thing to him- if someone posts an outlandish idea that might end up helping the elims more than the villagers, like Archer did and like Bort did, that person is more likely village.
  8. I mean JNV was in the group PM :P. e!JNV could have mentioned it in the doc though I guess they might not have had time. They haven’t been elim, no.
  9. A ratio of 7-3 gives us three shots (basically two, the last one would be at parity) and a base PoE of [TJ, Bort, Orlok] isn’t too bad for the purposes of just getting one, especially with Veterans. I’m not set on that, obviously, but I think it’s a decent starting point. This is a good list, I need to ISO xino though Umm Archer might have been able to xD Maybe a reason to v read JNV is that Archer village read him, and the elims wouldn’t want to get rid of that. Archer is just such a strange kill either way though- JNV’s approach to solving and tone both read village to me but those are not exactly concrete reasons so idk.
  10. Interesting that the elims are fine with the trains being revealed as v/v. I’m not entertaining e!Stick right now so I’m just going to assume D1 was a pure train and leave that there. Relaxing my v!Orlok read, need to relook at… a lot of things- Stick’s point included. Who was online at the end of the cycle? Me, Stick, Orlok for sure. Kinda want to kill in [xino, Bort] today but maybe it’s just Orlok. Or TJ :P.
  11. All moving to Striker accomplishes is making the 2 way tie a 3 way tie xD I obviously prefer Striker but honestly am fine with TJ or Archer as well. My reads on TJ and Archer have sort of tipped in extremity in both cases, and both currently sit around Null so idk
  12. I mean, wasn't his retraction at the end of a giant multiquote of your posts that ultimately led to his retraction? :P. That doesn't really look last minute to me.
  13. I mean we have an hour and a half but sure (@Bort) TJ (3): Archer, JNV, xino Bort (1): Orlok Striker (2): Stick, Matrim Archer (3): TJ, Striker, Bort Ninja'd by Bort but his matches mine so that's good Stick, does my explanation of why I don't think the bus was intentional make sense?
  14. I thought we were theorizing an accidental bus. We're voting Striker, and the entire bus case on him is that he voted Araris early for distancing and then when he wanted to retract, he had no room to. I don't think the elims wanted a bus, because they much prefer a Fang death over an elim death. They'd want a misexe, just like any other elim team, because then the elim that dies (which they get to control just as much as if they were bussing) gets to stay in the doc. Araris didn't get to stay in the doc. If the elim team purposely bussed Araris, I think they made a miscalculation. Sure, there's some value in the clears from a hard bus at the beginning, but there's a reason that it's not a strategy used by normal elim teams. I don't think they'd do it here just because there's a Fang. I think they'd take the death that keeps a teammate in the doc.
  15. Yes- it was tied with you and Araris before Orlok retracted. e!Orlok stays on you unless you’re also evil and preferred over Araris for some reason.
  16. I paranoid Archer as much as the next guy but I have this question for all the current Archer voters- Why go for Archer over Striker? For me, if it’s just about the bus, the situation around Striker makes much more sense and the only people I’ve seen comment on it are Stick and I. If it’s not just about the bus, then what? (Not you TJ, I know your stance ) If Striker flips e then Bort moves down
  17. Initially I read it as v/v but in light of comments from Orlok and Stick I reconsidered. Your PoE with TJ almost makes me want to move back because I don’t really disagree with any decisions you made in taking people out but I do think that TJ and Striker have e/e potential and my personal read of TJ is definitely better (better as in more vil).
  18. Dragon Fang is deactivated once we sucessfully exe an elim, which we did D1. No Fanging required! :D. Elders have nothing to do with why it was deactivated. Pays to read the rules :P.
  19. Ok no TJ, Striker On mobile so I can’t quote specific things but I like your static D1 explanation because it’s true, and I like how you’re sticking to your guns. I’m baffled by those guns, like choosing Archer over Striker (more on that later). The Elder claim is NAI, could be true, could be false, is unprovable until you’re dead. The more I think about it the more Striker makes sense which means I should probably reread my post where I resulted in a light v read of Striker, and Orlok’s post where he came to the same conclusion xD I am side-eyeing TJ for choosing Archer, since he told me that he thought the most likely bussers were Archer and Striker and at least for me one of those seems a lot more obvious right now :P. I’m also confused why he didn’t put Stick on that list after ‘seeing no reason to v read her’ but as much as I think his thought process is real weird it fits within itself which is important. Like Archer, I can buy a bus to some extent, but I don’t think the elims would go for it late turn for fear of looking like they’re hammering. Hence my Striker vote. I don’t really buy the elims killing one of their own via exe on purpose, because for them a Fang death is better than an exe death. My bet is that the elims played D1 basically the same as any other game.
  20. I was supposed to go to FSY last year but it got cancelled because of covid, then I was supposed to go this year but it got cancelled because of covid, and now it’s next year, which is my last chance to go so it had better stay…
  21. That was me, and I'd still like an answer to that, @Striker Hmm, that was the interaction that made me mark Araris/Striker as not v/e so that's interesting :P. My view was, like- yes it's a weird move for Araris to make but it would be weird for anyone, not just Striker, and Striker's reaction felt over-the-top to be distancing. Reading this makes me reconsider, especially in light of this next point. Both you and Orlok have pointed this out and I agree, it's something I missed when rereading the thread purely looking at the timing of votes. It... really does look an awful lot like Araris and Striker tried to distance, and when Striker wanted to back out he was too late. I'm not really against voting Striker I suppose, but I think that it might be a good idea to vote off of the Araris train in general. We'll see, you make a pretty good case :P.
  22. I expected him to want to use the Fang :P. Subverting expectations isn't suspicious though, especially when those expectations were just me thinking. It's not purely that he argued for a delayed Fang, but much more the tone and way he argued for that... it's hard to explain when I'm the only person who can see the PM :P. But I am now leaning towards Archer's view of Thaid, which is just village disengaged. I think it makes sense for one and only one of TJ/Thaid to be evil and right now I'm leaning TJ but we'll see I guess.
