Wow, had a ton of fun with this ruleset @Steeldancer, thanks for running! And all my teammates, but @|TJ| especially, *high five*. Was not expecting to win that at the end lol Some thoughts on how the game played out. I think the major downside to this rulset is thread activity. Most of the game, at least for our doc, we had plenty of activity within the doc, but there wasn't much to talk about in thread. It was actually worse to talk in C0 as it let other teams know that your body was inhabited so we ended up just not posting C0 at all I believe. That is slightly helped by the need to vote, but you don't want to say anything really gave-solvy at all in thread unless you are going for a gambit to try to convince people you are/are not a strong spirit which I don't think happened. This resulted in it actually being better to just post once a turn with your votes, or maybe twice with a fake vote early on to try to trick other teams, but then all other posts were just about pokemon and other things that don't actually relate to the game. So adding some way to make it so that the different teams have to interact in thread in order to solve the game in some way would help massively I think. I'm not sure if PMs would have helped much, but I know if there had been open PM's I would have been trying to get info about bodies and lying about our bodies within PMs. It would have added more activity amongst the teams, but not in the thread so I'm not sure if that's the right solution. Another problem is the fact that if you get kicked out of a body you can't post in thread. When this happened to me, I'm going to be honest (and it was likely also compounded by the fact that it was the last turn of the game) I just stopped playing and I did not read the last turn's thread at all. I put in an action and wrote like two lines in the doc and that was it because I couldn't actually do anything else at all. I'm not sure what the solution to this is, but maybe it could be something like you are booted to a body that isn't inhabited but you don't get any medal points that body gets that round or something. And even if you can't vote, I think you should still be able to post in thread, especially if there is something added to the game to make gamesolving in thread more necessary. Other than that, I am interested in seeing what the full rules were and how the percentages and the like were decided. I really loved the strategy of the game and would be interested in another rerun in the future. -

A status update without counting.It's been five years. It's kind of crazy, looking back at the me of five years ago, and seeing how much I have changed. The Shard has definetly had a special and important impact on my life, and has helped to shape me into being who I am. I have sooooo many memories from so many interactions from the amazing people here.Firstly, I know you won't see this for a year or so yet, but @Frustration. Back when you were bookworm and we were just neby shardies and you became Sty and I became Exp and the rest is history. Can't wait to theorize more with you once you get back. #shardbuddiesforlife.
SE has def been a large chunk of my activity here on the shard. There's a lot that I don't remember from my games here, but there is a lot I will likely never forget. I've loved every second of it, and hopefully sometime soonish I can roll elim again cuz it's been too long.
Also from my generation, most of who are no longer active, but I have many a fond memory of RPing and messing around in Forum Games with so many people. The Hunger Games were so awesome, and I'm glad it has become a bigger thing now.
I've loved all the special conversations I've had with people in PM's, and causing wayyyy too many notifs with status updates. Counting has been fun.
I've enjoyed getting to meet some of y'all in person, @DramaQueen, @Mage, and @Cash67. Hopefully I can meet more of you in the future.
So what now? My activity has been off and on recently. I plan to continue playing Sanderson Elimination for the time being, and I think that's likely where ther majority of my time on the Shard will be, as well as on SUs. If you guys haven't played SE before, or if you have, you should def come join in, it's super fun! And you'll have a chance to stab me so win-win right? :P.
Anyways, outside of the Shard, life is really ramping up and it's been super exciting, albiet stressful. Married life is amazing, and I am learning so much regarding film. I am in the process of creating a production company with some friends, and am spending a lot of time prepping for a documentary I'm going to be starting about service missionaries this summer. All that plus schoolwork, workwork, speedrunning celeste, raging slightly at pocket pokemon, trying to get back into running, and planning a trip to peru and possibly moving to japan next year has me just slightly too busy lol.
But I'm so glad for all of you guys and know that you have had a greater impact on me then you can know.
To another amazing five years.

Sand begins to vibrate violently in a spot about 50 yards away from the group. After about 15 seconds, a pillar of smooth stone rises from the ground, stopping once it was about 15 feet up. A crouched figure stands up, holding a bow. He reaches his hand into his quiver and grabs an arrow. Something was unusual about the arrow, its tip dripping with a shadowy purple substance that turned to gas after a second of falling. He notched his arrow and aimed it at the group. --- Eldyn is not too worried about the unusual situation. He peers into the Realm of Shadows to see if there is any information he can gather...and can't see anything. He tries again and his brain starts to worry for him. It's almost as if his powers aren't functioning... @Halcyon The Only @TwinStorm @Through The Living Glass

A look of surprise flashes across Eldyn's face for a moment. He returns his blade and regular shadows return. In a flash, the walls in the map room melted into a starry expanse. A portal appeared on one side and a large figure stepped through. He waves his hand and just as suddenly, the celestial view is gone, and instead everyone who was in the map room are suddenly in a large barred cage in the center of a giant stadium, the ground covered in sand. The stadium is empty except for a large man, both in height and girth. "It appears that you have found my map! Well, you want some treasure? First you've got to complete seven challenges! Your first one: Survive!" He again waves his hand and the cage disappears, leaving everyone in the open floor of the stadium. The floor begins to rumble. @everyone
