  1. Unpopular opinion, but I'm part of Christmas music all year gang! Anyone? Just me? Ah, whatever.
  2. I don't know much what I'm talking about when I'm talking about Resonances, but these additional powers you speak of could be related to them. As in, I always figured Shallan's artistic ability and creativity come in part due to her Resonance, the mnemonic abilities.
  3. This is the email, correct? Any updates as to when I'll get my physical copy?
  4. Just because one order seems to fit a person slightly better than another order doesn't mean that they're going to be that order. It's not 100% about the personality aligning with the order, but also about the availability or willingness of spren in addition to an element of luck. I feel there are some members of Bridge Four that could be fitted better to other orders, but by luck they became squires to a different order. Which is why I think Adolin will be an Edgedancer, considering the path he's already on.
  5. Lol true. In my opinion, it’s just Alethi gossip right now. Gossip is gossip. I find it more likely they’re having cosmere discussions, like Wit hinted at doing at the end of Words of Radiance, and the Alethi, not knowing this, don’t see any other reason why a man and a woman would be close like that. Rumors are rumors, but these seem to have a mostly explainable foundation. I do like them though. Witnah?
  6. I am not aware of how he does know this, and I have not read the passage in question, but I can share that in their culture and mythology, we know that they refer to Taln as Bearer of Agonies. Plus, as a Stoneward, he would be the most obvious choice for the one to stay behind. He was always known as the self-sacrificing one, hence why he ended up being the only one to die at Aharietam. Taravangian also seems to have known, though whether or not this is due to magical means is unknown. The Diagram is recorded saying "the Ancient of Stones" must finally break.
  7. I'm a pop in on this thread as the relevant WOBs person. Relevant WOBs: And a few more that are RAFO's, I'm afraid. Neither yes or no.
  8. Hello everyone here, I am the one and only Knight of Iron. I was active on this site for a few months back in December, I have been on-and-off (more on than off ) lurking on the Shard, mostly because I don't have much to say or contribute. Look forward to getting to meet some of the newer of you. Anyways, I started this thread I thought was pretty fun in the Stormlight Archive forums, but recently realized that this would be even more fun applied to every character in the cosmere, so... Introducing A Case For / A Case Against v2 ! It's fairly simple. Choose a character from the cosmere, good or evil. If the character you choose is evil, then you post a reasonable or silly argument for why they're actually the good guy. Else, you try to prove why a good character is the real villain all along... If you need ideas I'd recommend you check out some of the ones people came up with last time, where we had cases for Odium, Gaz, Moash and also cases against Kaladin, Jasnah, Honor, Stick, Lift, and Dalinar. I decided to open this up to all cosmere characters, so have fun! I will be posting some of mine here later.
  9. thought so, I just haven't seen anyone with that
  10. Is this just me or does anyone else have this.
  11. I have amassed an impressive number of these.
  12. And just like that I have won again. GG
  13. @Truthless of Shinovar, I give you a 0/10 for: - failure to incorporate every cosmere curse in one storming breath as promised - the quote is nice but is completely ruined by your utter failure to comply with my reasonable standards of at least one space before and after the hypen when quoting someone - a reference that no one gets; I mean seriously what is that? This is a joke. For legal reasons.
  14. I'm casually trying to make a game like this in Roblox because I'm decent at coding like that... but I've never actually played any games like what I envision, and so I have no idea what to do. I got stuck when I decided to add physics for each order and started with Windrunner's gravity manipulation... Yeah, still working that one out.
  15. My images of characters or items or locations almost never match up correctly with what is actually described, sometimes my brain has difficulty imagining it but otherwise I think my brain just shuts off while reading descriptions. For me, it's especially locations. I don't realize how big a location actually is, then when the scenes moves out of the room and into a big hallway or something my brain just adds that on and then places just start looking super weird. I found more recently I imagine these things better if I just search up fanart for how a major location is so my brain just defaults to that instead of whatever it makes up. Anyone else do this or is it just me?
  16. I think most of the negative attributes in Feruchemy are the lack of the positive attribute, hence why Feruchemy works the way that it does. There wouldn’t be a way to store the negative attribute (like cold) if this is the case. In whatever case, I think it’s just the way that the attributes are by nature.
  17. Thanks
  18. On my opinion, I understand and actually experienced feelings similar to this. I've overcome it since then. It's also important to keep in mind and (do i even need to say correct me if I'm wrong? people will anyway) I'm pretty sure Alloy of Law was more of an introduction to the next three books then part of it, if that makes sense at all. Could be wrong.
  19. Ardents are already bald, like Szeth is.They have that going for them.
