    Subversion mixed all the puzzles together and began attempting to create one mega-puzzle from all the pieces. Omen remains silent once again. The field flashes with light as the Narrators and a few of the withergeists reconstitute themselves from the Emperor’s attack. Then they vanish, leaving the Emperor and XalBadreal alone on the field once again.

    The men return and die without cowardice, but die they do. Soon defeat turns into slaughter, and the Emperor fights alone against the tide of enemies, his army destroyed. “Magic? That would only prove you’re a Faceless!” Despite these words, the voice sounds uncertain.

    The Emperor’s attack pushes back the demons, and in the section of the battlefield that he fights, his soldiers stand. But the demons and their allies run rampant across the rest of the battle, slaughtering thousands. The battle soon turns ugly, the Emperor’s army splintered into small pockets, some trying to hold, some fleeing, others attempting surrender. “Stay back!” The voice trembles with fear. “You’re Faceless! You may have taken the rest of them, but I’m wise to your tricks now.” Light reflects of the metallic of a spear, but the one holding it is still shrouded in darkness.

    The scraping sound repeated, louder. Then a wavering voice came from within the depths of the cave. “I know you’re not real. Stay away from me.”

    Moni followed, keeping an eye out for anything jumping down from the ceiling of the cave behind the party. She tried not to find Faunus's glassy, lifeless eyes creepy.

    "If only we could all be so lucky." Mutters the traveler. Subversion sighed. Looked like there'd be no creating a pocket dimension in the guest room. How boring. ... nodded. "All right. Come with me, and we'll make the preparations." Moni stared into the darkness of the cave. "All right, who's going in first?"

    This post was made at the behest of @Frustration, who is currently absent from the Shard. There's another book out, so that means it's time to begin this debate again! How do you think the events of KoW affect the Scadrial vs. Roshar dynamic? Considering that the Stormfather's dead and Stormlight no longer exists to power Radiants, I'd say it changes things quite substantially. To kick things off, here's how I see it. First of all, nothing's really changed in the Radiant vs. Mistborn debate. We did see more of Division, but it doesn't seem to be too dangerous against a Mistborn considering it's most potent use requires touch, a very bad idea against someone who can leach your Stormlight. If the Mistborn has access to all sixteen metals, coins, and a pair of aluminum daggers and the Radiant gets their weapon of choice (for Radiants below the third ideal) and a normal amount of Stormlight, these are my opinions: A Radiant of the Second Ideal or a squire will have an even to losing matchup against the Mistborn, depending on Order. Elsecallers and perhaps Lightweavers could potentially take the Mistborn by surprise from the Cognitive realm, but the Mistborn can hard counter any order by a sneak attack leeching, so that's mostly a moot point. A Radiant of the Third Ideal has a even to winning matchup depending on Order. The more combat focused orders will have an advantage, while the others will be pretty even. Fourth Ideal and above, the Radiant has a winning matchup. Shardplate is just too strong in a straight-up fight. the Mistborn can of course kill a Radiant of any ideal by sneaking up, leeching them, then stabbing them. Assuming they're not noticed. Now, onto the fun part: Scadrial vs. Roshar. Who wins in a war between the worlds? Since Roshar's currently experiencing time dilation, let's go with a few scenarios: Scenario #1: War between end of Era 2 Scadrial and immediately post-KoW Roshar. No Return, and we'll assume that Azir and Urithiru won't interfere. Scenario #2: War between Roshar and Scadrial immediately after the time dilation ends. We'll have to speculate a lot on this, but that's our specialty, right? Also no interference from Azir or Urithiru. Scenario #3: War between Roshar and Scadrial after the time dilation ends, with whatever interference you speculate would happen from Azir, Urithiru, and any other peoples free from Retribution's control.

Instead, the army fighting against the Emperor's forces took shape, forming into the Demons sealed within the Maelstrom, and others. Dark Narrators glowing with terrible energy. Ghanderflaffles promised eternal ascension in exchange for their aid. Withergeists, always happy to destroy. And more, far more. The army of the Maelstrom gods stretched as far as the eye could see, and at their head was Xal'Badreal. He laughed, and in his hand held a Blade like no other. -- Moni pointed. "Look! There's a cave there. We can stop for the night." "Alright, fine." Subversion wandered off, wondering what exactly had been in the contract she'd signed. -- ... looked up as an adventurer hurried into the room and handed him a report.     Yeah, especially considering that he’s the Highspren Sigzil met at the end of the book, and that as I’ve seen other people point out, his name 12124, has the alphabetical numbers of A (1) U (21) and X (24).

A voice seems to whisper to him. ”These are the forces of those you face. The forces of the Maelstrom.” The tugging intensified and an insight appeared within the Emperor’s mind, perhaps placed there by Omen, perhaps simply his own intuition. This world did not know what his enemies looked like. It needed the Emperor’s mind, his memories and knowledge to fill out their form. “Fine, fine. Will those restrictions be in the form of oaths or a contract? Or will you be physically restricting my powers?”

    The traveler turns to glare at Tam. "Why are you poking me?" The man runs back, armor of the Imperial army taking shape from his indistinct form as he went. He shouted the Emperor's words to the soldiers around him, soldiers around him gaining detail and form as well. Soon, the Emperor saw his army clearly, as if taken from his memories. The other army remained indistinct, however. Shadowy shapes ripped holes in his army, and one punched through the lines only a dozen feet away from the Emperor. Subversion narrowed her eyes. "What restrictions would those be?"

    Yes, in the meantime, we should test if someone thinking a description of you will have a similar effect. There is no answer. An indistinct figure approaches the emperor, running with desperation. "My Emperor! They are too many. What shall we do?" The traveler doesn't say anything.

    If I had to guess, anyone can change you. The real question is whether that wears off faster than Narration.
