Hey @Config2! It seems you accidentally double posted! Just delete this one by going to the top of the page, click Moderate > Hide > "accidentally double posted" Edit: since people have already started to respond here, delete the other one instead.

It is already mentioned by the OP that these are all conjectures, of course they are. "Errorgant", really? I didn't conclude anything. Just provided some supporting claims to the conclusion you arrived at via your hypothetical scenario. You are selectively ignoring the things I've said. @Karger please refrain from continuing this, this is not the thread for this. The OP asked for conjecture. So you gave it to him and I supported you there. Do not tag or quote me further on this thread. I apologize again @Oltux72. I won't derail your thread further. I promise that you won't see further continuation on this from my end.

That is beyond the Nightwatcher's power. Only the Mod Gods can bequeath such power unto you. Seriously though, one can only hide their post not merge two posts together Edit: maybe cut+paste, then hide the old one? @The traveller, leave the posts as they are now, I guess; just be careful next time -
Making themselves uncomfortably hot to the touch is definitely possible if they tap all their heat. Steelrunners can, hypothetically increase their speed without limit (assuming, of course, they somehow managed to store unlimited speed) but they are not protected against atmospheric pressure or any other kind of friction they might encounter. So, Firesouls probably also do not have a hard limit, only a soft limit that is imposed by their own human biology. With access to Gold, yup, they probably can do what you described. Good catch @PrinceGenocide! [I took out an upvote from somewhere else to give one to you (I was out of the daily limit of 20, again, sorry @The traveller) so you better believe it!] Also, (oof ninja'ed by @Config2) while they are storing heat they are quite possibly effectively immune to heat.

Oh I'll Mimikyu Granted, but on an individual basis: The players who agree to kill/delete all their other created characters in every other game that they have ever played (in every medium) will get access to all the pokémon they could ever want and then some. Since asking for a cute little pokémon didn't work out... I want the Sharingan (not Mangekyo!) -

Thank you, @FictionSpren2019! Granted. Tell me, do you know about Henrietta Lacks? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/HeLa I wish for Pikachu! -
If you spot an inaccuracy or inconsistency, please point it out. While we're on that topic, if I may, your responses seem quite inconsistent themselves. What is your claim here? The hypothesis that you made further up this thread was supported by the evidence I dredged up, where is the inconsistency in my arguments when I haven't even made the claim you're pointing as being inconsistent. And of course everything here "might be relevant but we don't know yet know". These encounters are hypothetical after all. These are all conjectures, including the responses put up by you. But let's not clog this thread with arguments. @Oltux72 I'm really sorry for the completely unnecessary deviation. The answer is we don't know yet. But there's a high likelihood that your theory is correct and Shardplate could protect its user from emotional Allomancy.

Granted. You will not go mad. You cannot go mad. Even as you begin to truly understand people, what makes them tick: their neurons, memories, hormones... all become apparent to you, the slightest edge of uncaring attitude hidden behind a veil of sociability, every secret, the slightest biological motivation behind every action. Even your own. Even as your brain stops to process all the possible probabilities for the slightest movement of every person and the smallest and most inconsequential object, every gust of wind, every single sub-atomic particle. All possible probabilities, no matter how improbable, become calculable to you. Time is nothing to you, every second stretched out impossibly long as you passively calculate all possible future seconds, extending unto eternity... Even as you begin to 'see' in the IR and UV spectrum... though 'see' may not be the right word for how you perceive the world anymore, a person needs light to see, you don't. You can see far beyond even the observable universe. And yet still, you cannot go mad. I wish to become a Pokémon master! -

A way to overcome hemalurgic mind control ?
Honorless replied to Friendshipspren's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yup, let's include Brass and Gold Hemalurgy under there as well -
Not at all disappointed! I love getting first impressions from people just getting into the Cosmere. I'd love to have a discussion with you on your impressions of the book after you're finished reading it!

A way to overcome hemalurgic mind control ?
Honorless replied to Friendshipspren's topic in Cosmere Discussion
It didn't work. Err, it did work... It's complicated to explain.. But let me try again: it worked in the sense that Kelsier got the Inquisitor's attention. He didn't manage to truly affect the Inquisitor's emotion, he just let himself be detected. This made the Inquisitor switch his focus on to him, which was Kelsier's aim in the first place. In Marsh's case, the event you mentioned happened when Marsh was completely suppressed, she managed to sense that Marsh was still alive and that his body wasn't just being worn by Ruin, like he claimed; basically that Marsh was being possessed. And @The traveller, agreed. The Lord Ruler severely restricted what Feruchemical powers were transferred to the Inquisitors via Hemalurgy. We know Bronze, Pewter and Steel Hemalurgy were definitely given to the Inquisitors. -
A way to overcome hemalurgic mind control ?
Honorless replied to Friendshipspren's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Shardic control isn't a matter of determination. Hemalurgy rips open one's very soul, so not only does it not make any difference, it will also broadcast your intention to the Shard. A powerful Allomancer will still find it easier to Riot or Sooth you with high Hemalurgic damage. @PrinceGenocide, your theory about determination being able to protect against emotional Allomancy could have something: since we don't see anyone managing to Riot or Soothe Inquisitors but I think that's just Zinc and Copper Hemalurgy, which steal emotional fortitude and mental capacity respectively. -
Karger, what I gave, up there, was literally an instance from within the books, that potentially supported your hypothesis

Granted, you are served on a plate to a chicken. A very large chicken. I wish for a cornucopia -
No need, we do see Vin flare her copper against TLR's Soothing. It kinda works, except his Soothing, even passively, is too powerful

I think it's referring to something far simpler. People who remember the truth about Roshar.

@Karger, then please be less curt and state what you meant completely rather than appearing to simply be stating your disagreement without any back-up evidence. Otherwise, you just appear confusingly contrary and it makes it very difficult to parse what you meant. I have noticed this behavior on multiple threads wherever you have interacted with me. I'm sorry if I did something to offend you before those interactions and I'm also sorry if that's how you normally converse, but we're talking by viewing letters on a screen here, without being face-to-face I can't really tell whether what you said is meant as a critique or if you are just responding for the sake of etiquette (which regardless, seems very dismissive and not nice thing to do). Once again, I'm sorry if it's just me being obtuse in understanding your responses, but I'd like you to expand on your comments to be more comprehensible to me and possibly others who may be reading the thread.
