Nope. Personally, Adonalsium could also turn out to be something akin to a "Shard" of something greater. As some might say "it's turtles all the way down". Gods as pieces of gods as pieces of gods as pieces of gods.....
Yup, Cosmere only refers to the star cluster. As far as any in-universe Arcanist knows Adonalsium's power was original to him. There is a figure referred to as 'the God Beyond' who might be that or possibly just a more Revisionist or New Age idea of God to the more-Cosmere aware. Brandon completely RAFOs anything on the God Beyond, though some people on the Shard consider him to be a similar idea as the Beyond (a question without an answer - is there a god? Is there an afterlife?)
There's this interesting WoB:
i don't think the Mist Spirit's case should be taken as an example. It was Leras but it was also Leras' Cognitive Shadow. Leras sacrificed a large chunk of his Cognitive self to create Ruin's prison, what was left was a Cognitive impression. Leras was dead, in a way, but he also hadn't died yet, as we see in HoA and Secret History.
The dagger Vyre used to kill Jezrien had a sapphire and it served a function rather than just an ornamentation as it glowed.
Odium probably found a way to kill the Heralds...
Him going after Taln makes a lot of sense. I don't think he'll be sent after Ishar as Odium's army passed through Emul and very close to Tashikk but didn't bother with him
I would hope that our introduction to either Vedel or Chana does not involve them getting shanked by Vyre. I also rather liked Kalak. Pailiah and Battar are both in Kharbranth and I would like an encounter between them. I vote for Nale getting shanked as he comes to join Odium and Odium's like 'meh'
Why would he want to change the source of Investiture? Why would he want to expend his own Investiture? Why would efficiency matter when all it does is use up more of Honor's power as fuel?
Odium is perfectly willing to have his minions use Stormlight, the system in place allows his minions to use Stormlight and Surgebinding, but certain things might not work with his Investiture like Oathgates, as mentioned above.
But yes, corrupting an Honorblade should definitely be possible but there's no need for it when he can simply hand it over to his minions and Stormlight is already freely available
1. This character has opposed a main character
2. This character is educated
3. This character is a good speaker
4. This character is Invested
5. This character is not atheist
a few more guesses, then I'm giving the answer
The Mists were still Preservation's Mists, Ruin just added his own power to them, to make them thicker, last longer, be more aggressive in causing Snappings
Name all 16 (or 17) Daedric Princes
Update: wow, it's been 7 days, can no one remember the names of all the Princes? @The Sovereign, do you wanna give it a try?
I think they were Spiritual aspects that Brandon later abandoned. Aethers was written fairly early.
Alternatively, they were interpretations of Former (Form as structure, order) and Decay (breakdown of structure, disorder, chaos), so Decay is saying that he imprisoned the brothers with their father's essence.
