  1. Soulcasting changes physical makeup by convincing the cognitive self to influence the spiritual. So that will just kill them, which for them isn't permanent. Case in point, Odium devised a blade with an inset gem to kill one of them permanently
  2. Permanent death? They're Cognitive Shadows, that will kill them if you manage to Soulcast a Herald, but it would still send them back to Braize
  3. In concept, Elantris is definitely in the same weight class but it isn't written as engagingly imo. The main characters were too logical. But I guess it also worked as a quirk and was actually in concert with the theme and final solution of the book. I liked White Sand prose and Aether of Night better, White Sand Graphic Novel part 3 was also actually pretty good and improved on the latter third of the book, fleshing out both Kenton and Khriss specifically her conversation with Gevalden/Nilto
  4. @Vissy, make a difficult one, *cracks knuckles* Sorry @John Flamesinger, let's put mine at hold
  5. I think I remember that too, god, and still the rest had to go back to Braize to get horribly tortured for years and years Maybe the Fused could kill them. They are Cognitive Shadows too and But they were probably mostly killed by the Unmade, seeing as Jezrien asked Dalinar "which one it was" and mentioned that Dai-Gonarthis the Black Fisher had done him in before
  6. That was a tough one, @Handerfle! Okay, I think I've got a good one: 1) This character is a fighter
  7. Just feed a worm to the Nightmaws, see what happens
  8. Do you mean 'comedy'? Yeah, this kind of stuff wasn't seen the way it is now even just two decades back Which one did you like better- Aether of Night or White Sand prose?
  9. Dear God, I didn't even think about it.... How did they manage to kill the Heralds to send them back to Braize? At least, it looks like it wasn't easy, going by the fact that Taln was often the only one to die due to him intentionally putting himself in extremely dangerous situations
  10. Wait a minute... Nahel Bond with Singers weren't possible? How come? Didn't the spren discover Nahel Bonds after the side switching with humans? I think that's the reason Radiant Singers hadn't been seen before, other than, as their Songs put it, "though broth are we, their meat is men".
  11. Typically at this point we ask for your fav Order of the Knights Radiant but I assume it's the Windrunners, going by the pic? So who're your second fav Order?
  12. Oh well, since it's already resurrected, here's my approval for no guild

  14. Hmm... maybe emotions? Like Zinc and Brass Allomancy Soulcasting seems to be about affecting the Spiritual via affecting the Cognitive resulting in Physical changes, right? Could that give a hint? Also would there be Mental or Cognitive DNA? Going by Khriss' light analogy, the Cognitive seems like it would be constantly in flux, influenced by both the Physical and the Spiritual What of Cognitive entities?
  15. In Soviet Roshar, you mimic Midnight Essence In Soviet Alethkar, men wear safehand pouches
  16. Thank you
  17. @Ookla the Wine Shelf
  18. Hmm, that makes sense
  19. Hmm, I'd choose to be able to burn Nicrosil or Electrum. If strictly Era 1, then I'd choose to be a Bronze Misting My favourite Order is Lightweaver. I just love their system of Ideals.
