  1. Your face is now vantablack I wish for an inventory like you have in games but irl
  2. Electrum or as she and Elend called it, Poor Man's Atium
  3. The Red Rip is a cluster of bright red stars that appears on the skies of Scadrial (after the ash and mist were gone, of course, or before they were there). The same cluster is also visible from Roshar, where it is called Taln's Scar and Threnody, where it's called the Starbelt.
  4. The brother appeared for one chapter, if I recall correctly, it's included in the 10th Anniversary Edition as the Mad Prince. I rather liked it actually, but it would have been better as a one-off short story.
  5. Don't have to thank me twice,
  6. It has been discussed a few times Currently there's no plans for an app.
  7. A Skaze appears in the Postscript of Elantris in the 10th Anniversary Edition. The scene shows Hoid having a conversation with one by a pool (possibly the Pool where Elantrians go to "die"). Hoid was trying to become an Elantrian but had failed. He was still happy with the result as according to him it meant there were still mysteries left in the world for him to uncover. He then hopped into the Pool and disappeared. In sharp contrast to the Seons, which are floating orbs of light with a glowing Aon at their centre, the Skaze are described as being dark. They seem to suck in the light around them, with indistinct edges that blend into the air. They have a ring around their sphere with a pattern of misty symbols. Like the Seons are Splinters of Devotion (Aona), the Skaze are Splinters of Dominion (Skai).
  8. Akame ga Kill, Terra Formar and Blood C would go with that list Steins;Gate isn't recommended enough Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales: Bakeneko (it's a really good artsy anthology) Some funny ones like Nichijou, Daily Lives of Highschool Boys, Aho Girl, Ouran High Does anyone like the nice, atmospheric ones? Spice and Wolf, Honey and Clover
  9. Yeah, I don't think we'll see that series finished. Or certain others. *sigh* these statements might be nothing but the cut-flower sounds of a man waiting to die
  10. Odium was trapped on Braize with the power of Honor and Cultivation somehow. We have theories but not much concrete information. We know it involved some Oath and forced Odium to Invest. Ruin's Prison or the Well of Ascension was created from the Cognitive Aspect of Preservation, meaning he had to sacrifice his mind to do so. This also sort of created a Cognitive Shadow of Leras.
  11. What does Llstml mean?
  12. Welcome to the Shard!

  13. Welcome to the Shard! Yeah, the worldbuilding is very rich in The Stormlight Archive! Say, which Order of the Knights Radiant is your favourite? And is it the same Order that you think you would've been in?
  14. Huh
  15. You're certainly not alone in feeling that way! Look here: @The Traveller would agree with you too
  16. Sel had two Shards of Adonalsium: Devotion and Dominion, like Roshar has Honor, Cultivation and Odium, and Scadrial has Preservation and Ruin. Devotion (Aona) and Dominion (Skai) were killed by Odium long ago, their power was Splintered and stuffed into the Cognitive Realm, forming the Dor. Seons are Splinters of Devotion, like how Honorspren are Splinters of Honor and the Divine Breath of the Returned are Splinters of Endowment. To be more specific, the Aons at the centre of the Seons are Splinters of Devotion.
  17. In an earlier draft of Elantris, seons possessed the ability to 'complete' their Aons a single time, creating the effect their Aon is used for in AonDor, and killing the seon. Ien targeted this ability on Dilaf, 'healing him'; since Ien's Aon was still incomplete, this turned Dilaf into a fallen Elantrian. Here's what Brandon had to say in his annotations: They can still do something with the Aon within them:
  18. We don't know much about Hoid. He's from Yolen. He knew the Vessels of the Shards of Adonalsium and was involved in the plot to kill Adonalsium alongside them. He has a form of immortality, as well as time dilation, and various pre-Shattering magic including a form of Lightweaving. He has access to Fortune, he can tell if he's going to be needed somewhere sometime. He goes around traveling the various Shardworlds, collecting magics. Hoid isn't his real name. He has many names like Cephandrius, Topaz, Lunu'anaki, Midius, etc You might want to check out his Coppermind page here: https://coppermind.net/wiki/Hoid
  19. A fellow man of culture, I see
  20. It does take a while to get used to but it's mostly just hilarious. You can use asterisks if you must, I do.
  21. Welcome to the Shard! Get ready to fall deeper into the rabbit hole!

I know right? Usually there’s only one spambot that posts stuff every few weeks but there’s already been three today. I’m also pretty sure most of the mods are asleep :(

      Luna, there's two more

  23. 1) This character has faced a main protagonist in combat 2) This character is not Invested 3) This character has stood on the opposite side of a conflict against a member of their family 4) This character has a strong protective instinct and noted to be very brave 5) This character has survived a catastrophic event
  24. Mwahahahahaha, my efforts have not been in vain, a lot of people are leaving without making guesses, difficulty level: ultimate! Seriously though, it's really not an obscure character! Though it isn't a main character either.
  25. They are not the same entities. The Former says something along the lines of that Decay thought he had him imprisoned but the Former was exactly where he would've been anyway, with his people
