    The Scadrial symbol would remain the same, I think, as would Taldain and First of the Sun. Nalthis' flower might be changed to look like five rays of light. How would the simplified Sel symbol look?

    It's not just that. As Brandon mentioned in his update, for a symbol to work, it needs to be recognizable, distinguishable, not too complicated: so that it is easy to recognize from a distance, easy to draw/print/recall. You should look into vexillology articles on how to design flags, emblems or the creation process of the biohazard symbol. A simpler symbol would absolutely be necessary in space era Cosmere

    I do not believe Autonomy's Avatars are like that, they're not hiveminds or automata, or at least not all of them. From OB epigraph letters they seem to be at least somewhat distinct individuals with differing opinions but refer to themselves with a collective pronoun. I do see the narrative connection the OP intended to show though.

    Yeah, but we don't know how a Sand Master is initiated, only a list of Investiture systems that it differs from, those from Scadrial, Sel and Vax. And of those, we don't know much of the second and nothing of the last.

    Are you suggesting a word filter, like the Shard has with cursewords? It might become confusing if every instance of "god" was replaced with "Adonalsium". People refer to the Shards, talk about in-world theology, their own beliefs, etc so I don't think that would be a good idea
