  1. @Lord Meeker
  2. I would really appreciate it yes.
  3. Awesome! Go team 2! @Dr. Dapper @Invocation @Wyndlerunner @Silva
  4. That looks good to me! Excited to start
  5. Is this going to be based solely on Cosmere material? All of his published works? Or anything he's ever written, published or not?
  6. So is there a different method he could have been changed from an Epic to a Forger? And possibly the Essence Mark would simply undo the change temporarily? Or should I just scrap the concept and keep him as only a Forger and get today off Thundershriek?
  7. So would I not be able to have an Essence Mark that had made him into a Forger, or would it simply have to have been a more complex process to create it? Somehow involving someone with more Investiture?
  8. I believe we have confirmation that Forgery can altar place of birth. With the result that it modifies DNA and/or Spiritual DNA. I believe it has been stated Forgery can grant almost any Investiture if done properly, with the exception of something like KR, since you can't retroactively form a Nahel Bond. In regards to the Essence Marks that is true, but I'm unsure of how the interaction would work, since Thundershriek is the original Identity, and Laonin is the "fake". So, would applying the Thundershriek Essence Mark revert him permanently to the original Identity, or have the normal timer involved. Also, Thundershriek is aware of Laonin's existence and knows of Forging, so he would reapply the Thundershriek stamp if needed, to remain in control. The one time I've used them so far, I had another character reapply the Laonin Mark after the fight happened. I still need to make my TUBA Rep character, which I have some ideas for.
  9. Update for Laonin: I wasn't sure exactly how to rank Blacksmithing. The minimum Expert skill points listed was 40, and Blacksmithing is probably comparable to Scholarship and Poison-mixing from a usefulness standpoint. Thundershriek: @Voidus can you judge his powers for me, so I know how to implement his scoring please? Again, not sure if these should be considered separate characters like Mac suggested, or how to score it exactly. I leave that up to your recommendations, and Archer's judgement. Also, Laonin will only use the mark that transitions him to Thundershriek in life or death situations, because he knows Thundershriek will resist being changed back, and doesn't want to unnecessarily risk him being set loose again.
  10. How would you score Essence Marks? Would it be a combination of all the different powers added up, or would it be the highest scored identity plus some points for the power to switch since they can only be one identity at a time? I need to rescore Laonin for Era 3, so I need to figure that out.
  11. That sounds pretty reasonable to me, since it gives an in universe way to explain it all. Others may have different opinions of course.
  12. This is an obligatory post just so Ene can post a meme without double posting.
  13. "I hope there aren't any more in here. I don't know if we can make it through another fight like that." As Laonin said this, all the lights suddenly sprung to life. Which may indicate that whoever was inside knew they were there. "Well. Either it is open, or they're expecting us. It probably isn't worth sneaking now." Finishing, Laonin began walking toward the front door.
  14. Laonin had followed Alask where he had lead. And he studied the building with interest. It did look pretty abandoned, though seeing someone walk in like that was suspicious. Possibly more than one person used this as a base of operations. "Well, it looks abandoned, but obviously isn't. Take care Anon, just because someone walked in doesn't mean it's open. We should probably tread with care here. Should we circle around and check it out or just walk in through the front door?" @I think I am here. @Steel Inquisitive
  15. As they walked toward the shop, a man stopped them to ask a question about someone. Hearing what the man said, a dark look came over Laonin's face. Not a look of anger, but a look of sadness, and loss. "There was a battle, unfortunately. A battle we won. There were no women amongst the dead here, only monsters. We're going to go looking for the people they kidnapped now. If you wish to accompany us, you may." @Blessed peace
  16. Laonin looked at those near him. "Well, it sounds like you're ready to go. Let's get this over with, then we can all rest. Lead the way, I'd you would." @I think I am here. @Steel Inquisitive
  17. She has the upside of advanced chalklings but the downside of poor line making skills. If I remember right she couldn't draw circles or lines very well, which made all of her drawing significantly weaker. Unless she traced over existing lines.
  18. I can't see it either, but given an image shown in a different part of the forum, I will assume it's the hemalurgic bindpoint chart.
  19. Laonin sat at a table, drinking a very mellow wine and eating some finger foods. He seemed to be more intent on observing the scene than eating however. It's been too long since I've been in such a stressless situation as this. It's nice just being able to watch people be happy for once. He saw the couple walking towards him, and quickly wiped his hands with a napkin and then stood on anticipation of their arrival. As they got closer he bowed out of respect, then listened to what Althea had to say. Her joy and happiness was spilling out through both her expression and in her voice, and that made him happy. He then saw her attempt to lessen the flow of emotion, by changing her expression. "Congratulations on your marriage! I was overjoyed when I received the invitation. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day. My name is Laonin. I run a forge in town, though I've been preoccupied with other work as of late. I'm glad to hear that you like the rings, I worried I had guessed your sizes wrong. But please, today is your wedding day. You deserve to be happier than you have ever been! Do not try to hold that joy back for fear of embarrassment. You should revel in it, happiness is rare in this world and we should enjoy it while it lasts." Saying this, Laonin looked around the chapel. "I love the venue you chose, it looks quite beautiful. It almost reminds me of the place my wife and I were married."
  20. It's to prevent a guild from spreading it's members thin across a bunch of smaller guilds to effectively give themselves more votes. Like, if guild A had ten members, but decided to distribute their members amongst 5 smaller guilds to give themselves 5 times the influence.
