  1. Yes every player is a Mistborn in this specific game. In the books there are things called Medallions that grant Allomantic abilities so we all have all of them. It's in the rules.
  2. I have no idea what is going on, there's like 7 new pages. It's valentines Day and I'm spending it with my wife so if I don't get exed I won't be around the rest of today. I was planning on voting on someone random to make it easier to test Kas vote manipping Striker but I need to self pres cause I know I'm vil and don't know what Devo is or what she's claimed since she apparently claimed something. Devotary
  3. If I recall they said it was the fact no one seemed to really take votes off of them for most of the cycle which makes it seem like Stick wasn't an elim in danger. Edit: The village win con is to eliminate the elims. If elims don't exist yet they can't be eliminated so village wouldn't auto win. Semantics I know
  4. That game is why I suspected Conversion to begin with, because it was fun and I think Conversion is fun so I was hoping I guess, I even expressed disappointment you couldn't convert me when you pulled your gambit in the AG. And I suspected no elims because from a lore standpoint I felt it made more sense for us to all start good and become evil by using our powers. If this was a 1 elim conversion game I would assume all the village would be regulars until they were converted into auto evil Epics by Calamity. I think there is a minimum of 1 elim now if it is a conversion game, obvs more if it isn't. Yes somewhat. I didn't really suspect Mat or Stick or Archer but the Archer vote wasn't going anywhere so I switched to someone relevant at the time. And Mat had spent almost all of Cat defending himself so I went for Stick over Mat but voted Mat for anonymity in case I didn't want to claim later. If Mat flips elim then it's weird for it to be conversion cause he wasn't Epic or a convert role. A third rioter could have been voting on Mat or Stick and taken a vote off of me to put onto who they voted for case closed right? Since you moving my vote did nothing cause I cancelled it to move Sticks vote.
  5. So stuff. I am also a Village Rioter *cough* Epic. I was given a specific name, flavored around Hypnotism. I was also not informed of any specific weakness like Kas, and when I asked was told I don't have one. I sacrificed my vote on Mat and successfully Rioted Stick onto Stick which accounts for the 2 missing from Mat and the extra on Stick. Kas moved mine from Mat to me but it was already negated so that accounts for 1 missing on me meaning either someone Soother !notKas or Rioted !notKas onto the train they were voting on. Given that I knew I was village Epic and people were claiming things I was asking some Conversion questions C1 which were all PAFO'd. I just didn't bring the possibility up till after no NK cause I assumed people would find me suspicious for bringing up the possibility of no Elims. On Conversion. I didn't turn, Kas says he didn't turn. So that eliminates(assuming we're being truthful) the possibility that any Epic using their powers is auto converted. It's possible 1 epic who uses their powers each cycle is randomly converted, each Epic who uses their power has a chance to be converted, a certain frequency of use causes conversion I.e. using power multiple turns in a row, or the lone Elim is Calamity and they convert 1/turn. If Mat flips elim it's pretty safe to throw conversion debates out the door. I think the more Epics there are increases the odds of this being a conversion game. On the Mat elim death/Striker thing it's possible a different elim submitted the kill or they just didn't believe Striker. Though still unlikely
  6. Possible explanations as I see it. Probably other explanations exist. Elims forgot to kill. Elim that submitted kill got blocked by someone. There is a conversion mechanic and there were no elims or only 1 who did a convert. Mat was elim and the elims targeted Striker with the kill.
  7. Ok I just got caught up, just barely by skimming. Not gonna be active but might be able to keep up around rollover if it isn't actually insane Archer Mat
  8. Would a game set entirely within the confines of an Ice Cream parlor need a pass? Or could it be set within the confines of an Ice Cream parlor on Era 3 Scadrial and count even if no roles were related to the setting? I'm pretty sure I already know the answer. Here is what I put together. Probably a QF.
  9. Ya I was reading the thread earlier but unfortunately rollover is in the middle of my workday so I probably won't be very active before or after rollover. Then I just needed some time to catch up cause you all posted 6 pages in less than 12 hours. Archer claiming Epic is interesting, and whether it's alignment indicative or not it would be some information for us in a situation where we currently have no information. Also @Tani is this you claiming you're an Epic too or was that you establishing an RP character I'm kind of confused.
  10. Ya so I think the rp thing would be too hard to do for multiple reasons now. So what if instead of assigning each Epic a weakness they are each assigned a word. This could be balanced in many ways to make it easier or harder for the Reckoners. Each Epic has the same word(easier), each Epic has a different word but they are either all adjectives, all verbs, or all nouns and Reckoners know which(mediumish), or each Epic has a different word but they are either all adjectives, all verbs, or all nouns and Reckoners don't know which(harder) The Epics need to use it in exactly 1 post per cycle(harder), exactly 1 post per turn(mediumish), or every post(easier). I like Striker's idea of some known Invincible Epics, with the rest being unknown and not Invincible. So the Reckoners doc is gone, and the unknown Epics also need to follow the words restriction the known ones do. Since some Reckoners are undercover Epics the Reckoner kill action is gone, voting is back. Known Epics can't vote. Votes require player and guess at the word. Majority wins for player, and majority wins for word, only counting the ones guessed for that specific player. Killing an epic with wrong word means one of the players who voted for them dies, either at random or the Epics choice, not sure which is better. Could also include one or more Villager Epics that are unknown to everyone but themselves and have their own word restriction too.
  11. Ya I know the rp/weakness thing has lots of potential issues. Since everyone will know who the Epics are anyway I was thinking in signups I could ask for volunteers from people who are confident they could meet the rp requirement. And definitely limit it to one needed every 48 hours, so once a cycle. And ya weaknesses would be assigned. Some potential ways for the Reckoners to get more clues could be a role that can as an action identify which post contained the weakness, or another that could submit multiple guesses and I would eliminate an incorrect one. The other issue would be distribution. With 4 elims and 9 villagers assuming all vanilla and no Invincibility the village would auto win cause even if they guess wrong they still get the kill one of them just also dies. With 5 elims and 8 villagers under the same conditions villagers could only guess wrong twice or they would auto lose. And 1 Invincibility under any distro could be fatal to the villagers if they can't figure out the weakness. I suppose some element of chance could be added to situations where the weakness was unknown to keep things from being deterministic. So there would be a chance 1 died, the other, both, or neither. Your suggestions for other styles of game could work too. And making it not rp but instead a tick or writing choice might work.
  12. So this is just in the early stages currently but was curious if anything along these lines has been run in the past. Reckoners game. Elims are Epics, Village is Reckoners. Epic and Reckoner identities are known, public Epic powers are known, secret Epic powers and weaknesses are unknown except to that player. Reckoner roles are known to the Reckoners. Epics and Reckoners each have a doc. Epics get a kill, with possibly more depending on powers. Epics are requires to make 1 rp post per (cycle or turn not sure yet) that subtly leaves a clue as to their weakness, any other rp posts they make that turn/cycle don't need to mention it. Reckoners get a kill action, that requires the submission of a weakness guess. Some Epics may have invulnerability, some or most won't. If the Reckoners correctly guess the weakness, the Epic dies. If they guess wrong but the Epic isn't invulnerable, the Epic and a rng Reckoner die. If they guess wrong and the Epic is invulnerable the Epic lives and a rng Reckoner dies. Reckoners would have some protection or info gathering roles.
  13. Thank you so much @Elbereth and @Fifth Scholar this was an awesome game to jump back into SE with! Congrats to the winners of the passes, everyone's CRs were awesome I just wish I would have stuck to mine more because it would have been fun. @Kasimir thanks for being someone to bounce things off of in pms, sorry the game got to be so much, and thanks for such an amazing finale writeup! I'll take the confusing ID award, I think 2 people told me they thought they knew who I was but I'm pretty sure they probably guessed wrong.
  14. @Matrim's Dice Thanks I kept going back and forth with myself over how to react to stuff in a way that was suspicious enough to warrant a vote but not enough for people to guess my role. And again I legitimately forgot Seth was dead when I voted for them so glad it worked out. Archer's guess I was a Ghostblood at the beginning of I think C3 based off the fact I hadn't voted yet is what pushed me to vote for someone, glad I messed that up though. @Archer I did end up targeting you since everyone seemed to want me to though I was debating if I should target one of the others instead since they never even reacted to my Will at all. @Tani Thanks for running the game, and again don't feel bad about the role I got, I liked having to get myself killed more than having to try to figure out who was guilty. And I won so @StrikerEZ Sorry you didn't get to win, my fellow Ghostblood.
  15. Could I sign up for a LG, MR, and QF? I have a ruleset I'm working on for LG but want to try my had at a shorter game before jumping in the deep end.
  16. I get it. We're close to a win, so ya gotta do what ya gotta do. So do I. Dannnex
