  1. I was thinking about the roleclaiming a bit more: No one should roleclaim at this point. The elims should have enough info to narrow down who Rand and Green Man are significantly. And we need to keep Rand alive. Because of constantly switching computers at work, and then going to be switching to my phone after work, I don't think that I will be able to post substantial analysis. I will be doing some, and will do what I can to post it during the night cycle. I will have a lot of time (on my phone) during the 30-45 minutes preceding rollover. I will have to do most of my posting then I think. Edit: @Rand, there is a creature that I think has 1 health. If we kill that creature today, elims only have 1 kill. I have never been so happy that the elims have 1 kill. : )
  2. I would suggest asking these types of questions in the Allyverse character thread. You will have a much better chance of finding an answer there. I posted the link to it above, but I quoted it right here so you can find it easily. Just a note, a "master forger" doesn't really tell people anything about your character. If you look at other people's characters, you can see how they put in their appearance, backstory, powers, etc. This will all help people tell you what they think about a character. Basically though, if you want to use this character in the next era, tell them it is for era 3. Most people wont be reusing characters from era 2 in era 3.
  3. I feel similarly. I still don't feel like the guilds are flushed out either... Right now I don't think there are enough incentives to be in a guild with only 1 or 2 members... and there is nothing currently to differentiate between guilds of 2, 3, and 4 people... And I think that as being in a great guild currently is bad for an individual, but good for a collective, I am surprised so many people are doing it... I don't expect it to stay that way though. So we should change something before the system causes the great guilds to crumble. I think currently, people are going to end up consolidating into 2-3 Great Guilds, and then everyone else will pair up into Minor Guilds of 2, or stay unaffiliated. I don't think we should encourage this. I think it should be a seriously difficult choice to choose where to place yourself. Total control comes from a guild of 1, and the individual gets less and less control, but the guild gets more as it gets bigger... I think one way of doing this is in the aspect of armies. People want everyone to have them for the most part, but we haven't decided how to decide how powerful they are. For the sake of this, I will be measuring the power of an army based on how many people are in it, but the power is what matters, not how many people. Idea Overview: The Alleyverse would have X amount of power total, this number cannot be exceeded (exceptions apply). Let's say X = 100,000 soldiers for the sake of this (This is part of a second idea I ran out of time to talk about). Every player, by default gets an equal share of those soldiers. If a player is unaffiliated or the leader of a guild, their soldiers belong to themselves. If someone is in a guild, their soldiers then belong to that guild. If the guild goes to war, but someone doesn't want their soldiers to fight on behalf of their guild, they can recall 25% (number subject to change) of the soldiers they contribute to the guild. This of course doesn't apply to guild leader, who has control of all 100% of their own army. This however would make minor guilds far too overpowered I think. To counter that, we would weight players that belong to Great Guilds higher. So they would get larger armies/person than the MG players would. Alternative: Instead of having each player get a percentage of a maximum soldier count, it would be easier to just say, "Every player gets soldiers with the might of 1,000 troops". Then say that members of Great Guilds get 2,000 each. This is just an idea I had while at work. I think the alternative idea is better due to it being simpler... But I don't know if this is even on the track of finding a good idea. Just thought I would throw it out there to see what people think/get people thinking about the problems I think there will be in the future. Feel free to share ideas and criticisms or the idea. (Was going to post more, but ran out of time)
  4. I find this slightly misleading as the vote count you should have given should have 2 votes on CadCom... I am switching my vote from CadCom to itiah... I agree that adding someone to the mix is in general going to be a bad thing for the village this game. Also this is Lumgol's first game, and lynching someone just because you can on their first game sounds like a pretty awful welcome to me. Also, unlike CadCom, i think it will be best to doom someone, as you can only learn so much when something ultimately comes down to chance. For example, you could have an elim voting on another elim in this game, as if the lynch is tied 3 ways, the elim probably wont die. risk vs reward... CadCom Guacless (ITIAH)
  5. *then proceeds to double post*
  6. Who has Mat contacted? I am starting to think STINK is Mat... Edit: Forgot STINK was replaced... Honestly I am back to having no clue who Mat is and what they are doing then... Yes, 100% send Steel a PM... I am still disappointed I haven't got one yet but whatever... At the very least if Mat doesn't claim, can we have people claim if Mat has contacted them? Edit again: Randuir and myself apparently haven't gotten PMs yet. The correct pick from last night may have been HH, so was probably the target. Remember, anyone you have PMed knows your identity, so the more people you have PMed, the more likely your identity is known by the elims.
  7. In addition, it just provides a general analysis tool for people to use when thinking about their or other characters. It may be used as a character creation guide for new players if they find the free-form system confusing, it can help compare power levels between different characters. For instance, if my era 2 character picked a fight with Hellbent, I shouldn't expect to win... However I could RP my powers in a way that should probably make me win. A points system would take the OOC subjective view of character's abilities, and make them objective. I compare my points to Hellbents and see I have fewer. So I know I should (I may still win, but I should) lose. hopefully that makes sense.
  8. Do you have a specific thought in mind for what that would be? My initial thought when you say this was, "We already have guilds". But I assume you aren't thinking along the lines of guilds. Like flavor text?
  9. There isn't a limit to what guilds you or your charecters can be a part of. However, this census is to determine guild status. For the purposes of this, you can only choose 1 guild to raise the power of. As far as things are currently designated: Any guild with 1+ member has power in elections. Any guild with 2+ members can put a representative up to run for office. Any guild with 5+ members is designated a "Great Guild"
  10. Thank you Randuir, this should make my job easier, as I should be able to do analysis during lunch. This fielder message makes me feel like the fielder is trying to IKYK accuse Randuir, or just vent much more than I thought before. I just don't think the top message reads like Randuir. Even though most people started leaning village towards Karn early on, I still think someone should do analysis on him (though lower priority than the others). I remember rereading his posts after the "Apology" from the fielders doc, as there are only a few players in this game I could imagine saying that honestly, but I just kept feeling like he was more and more village... Granted, I will try to glance over his posts again at the very least. Hmm, with these limits on the blight and the power roles still alive, I could very much see the elims having 5 total members... But if that is the case, a mislynch today kills us I think. Ninja'd CadCom… Can't read or respond to you right now... Maybe in a little bit. EDIT: A mislynch today wont necessarily kill us. another edit: @Ookla the Duck: This isn't what I said at all. I wasn't saying "not to defend the rings", I was saying some rings are better and some are worse. We should rush to the better ones and hold it. In the plans I set out, We still reached the "maximum of D8", but we also stayed 2 nights on ring 4, arguable the best ring here. If my posts came out like you say, I should have been lynched long ago. I stopped trying ring analysis as I didn't think people were paying attention, and thought my time was better spent elsewhere. If you want to check, I think I had a post regarding this D1, N1... and D2 I think? Even another Edit: @Ookla the Duck: I have never played with half of the people here before. I was the first one (I think) to put suspicion on him, and I was the first (I think) to bring suspicion back to him. I have not been influenced by past games, as I have only skimmed a few previous ones, and whenever I do, I am always looking for something specific. (Like BRs village voice). This may be true about Randuir and Steel, but not me.
  11. This isnt counting total members, this is counting which guild the RPers wish to count for, for determining great guilds and who can send reps to run for gov. Though you have 3 people in the guild, for the purposes of this list only 1 of those three counts for the moment.
  12. Were the benifits of being classified as a great guild ever discussed? They get an instant seat in the Gov, and I think a larger army of NPCs. (?)
  13. To be a guild on the list (and get rights to vote in the government elections), all you need is 1 person to declare that as the guild they wish to be counted for. (This 1 person can be you). To be able to have a representative from your guild run for gov office, you will need 2 people. To be a great guild, you need 5. If you want to to be counted for this guild, either tag archer and say so here, or PM him. : )
  14. It sucks because I dont have enough time to do the analysis on MrDoctor that he deserves. The Aginor claim is my gut and nothing else. Him being an elim though is based in a bit more. (Again note: I dont have my notes, and probably wont for the rest of this game as I will be doing it on my phone or work computer) I have been mentioning my suspicions of MrDoctor for a while, but when I first took note of him, it was D3, because i think he should have died N2. I really do. Full explanation in my post there. I did some analysis on this, mostly revolving around the point that he should be dead. He responded to the post, then didnt turn up in-thread for a while. I understand being busy, but if you were an elim, this could also help get you out of the limelight. The killing pattern of the elims went toward semi-inactive players. When Bard and I were elims in LG50, we decided to go after fully inactives to make the game more interesting. Semi-actives are still people contributing to discussion somewhat, and therefore can be valuable to the village. Killing them I dont think is going on hard mode. This means either the elims felt that they needed to make the game more interesting starting C2/3 (which seems early to me) or they had another reason. If there are other reasons to explain the killing pattern, say them. I will be following the thread, and can change my vote/respond etc. I just wont be able to do detailed stuff. Hmm... Aman's post makes sense, and I am withholding my vote from MrDoc for now... i will try to look closer at some other players i am suspicious of, but i wont be able to do any reall analysis. If someone has time, i would appreciate a second person looking over either Mark or Aman...
  15. Oops forgot it was day cycle. for the moment I am going to vote on CadCom. I will be on before rollover. CadCom
  16. YES!!!! Join me friend!!!
  17. 1/3 of us will be dead. of the 12 players, 3 I think are elims. Therefore there are 9 village. with 3 killed, 3/9 dead, 1/3 dead. Actually though, I double checked with fifth and creatures can attack the same player... This would imply that who they pick is all calculated at the same time. Before I said that everyone has a 38% chance to die (1/9+1/8+1/7). However this assumes that no one will pick the same target. In actuality it will be 3 1/9 chances... so each person has a 33% chance of dying, but there is also a chance that only 2 people will die tonight... or even 1... The worst possible scenario though is that the green man gets roleblocked and or rand gets hit tonight. UGH, chance and probability... We have no control... this is so frustrating... : / EDIT: @randuir in case I die tonight, I am not convinced of your innocence, but there are several people I am more suspicious of. The reason I asked for the other feilder to claim, is because there is a good likelihood they would be an elim. If they did claim, I would try to lynch them. The fact that they didnt means we still dont know anything about the doc. Mr.Dr and Mark are suspicious to me. Has anyone been targetted by Padan Fain this entire game so far?
  18. The newcago ambassador? I wasnt counting that as a gov spot as it doesn't have any direct power. Only influence. Heh, that might make sense. The DA gets to send an ambassador, but not a rep... so they dont get any power in the gov, but can still influence things towards their favor (if and/or when they care to)
  19. That means keeping the Great Guild number at 5, we should have 2 great guilds once everyone gets on. There will be some shuffling, but I think that 2 GGs should be good to start. People wont combine to make a third as we will be losing overall Gov spots. With 2 GGs, we will have 5 gov spots, which seems like a decent starting point. (Each minor guild will get 2 votes as there will be 3 elections)
  20. Well, I would expect that booksBeforeDeath and TFA would register for GB. And there is a 100% chance I would switch to a differant guild if I can't get a second in the keepers. TUBA only needs to recruit one more, and there are several people left who havent spoken up. Another thought is maybe we should lower the Great Guild number to 4 people. That way, it may encourage more guilds to exist. I dont really think we can reasonably drop below 4 though.
  21. Seriously? The ghostbusters, obviously... ... ... ... I'll leave now. : )
  22. If we get the doc back... maybe(?) We have a chance... idk. Hmm, it is possible that Randuir isnt even in the doc but the elims were relaying what was happening in their doc... but I dont want to think too much into it at the moment, as i dont have time to actually comb through Randuirs posts. Whoever is in the doc is more likely than not the agent of blight... though then again, I could see Padan Fain being in there just because his action is so circumstantial... The thing we know is that there is 1 elim in that doc. I will 100% say there is no storming way there are 2 elims in there. That would give the elims power over the creatures starting d1 at the earliest and d2 at the latest. TBH, Steel, you are on my list of possible Padan Fain people... but honestly I dont care at the moment as all I care about is catching the agent... Edit: again though, I dont have my notes with me, so basically everything I say is from memory. So take everything I say with a grain of salt.
  23. You are more nervous about Randuir, but think going after mrDoc is the best idea? If we hit Aginor, we lose unless Moiraine gets lucky... and blocks an elim. It is weird because going into this game I was really scared by Padan Fain, but as time has gone on, the real danger is Aginor/Balthamel. Mostly Aginor. I would almost be for Rand claiming at this point, purely so Moiraine doesn't target them. However I have narrowed down who Rand Is in my head to 2 people, and I am confident one of those 2 is correct. Hopefully Moiraine will see the same things and not target them. I honestly have no idea who Mat is targeting either. I am seriously concerned that they contacted an elim and have been led astray all game. Mr. Doctor we know nothing about and some posts ring warning bells to me. Bleh... I just realized, I made a case for why Mr.Doctor should have been killed by the elims N2. Ever since then, elims have been targeting inactives or semi actives. I could see this as a ploy get rid of the credibility of that claim. Now it doesn't matter who they kill though as they have enough killing power to cripple us... The question becomes is he Aginor, which I would guess, yes, he is. Aginor is probably the most powerful role in the game. He can kill, summon creatures that kill, and can manipulate the lynch. The elims would do just about anything to keep him alive, including refusing to kill helpful players in this game. BR had been under serious suspicion the entire game. Currently Randuir is high on my suspicion list. We need the other fielder to claim, to prove that Randuir is an elim though. this isnt really analysis, more like thoughts I am having. Again, we have to target the agent of blight, not aginor. We also need the rings to fall. It is risky, but we need Rands ability to kill aginor ASAP.
  24. Umm, you know... there are other cookies on the shard that don't contain spikes... I would highly suggest one of those... I don't have one on me right now, but representatives of TUBA are 100% trustworthy, and their cookies taste better too. (Less blood) EDIT: Also, just something to keep in mind for the future, mods aren't fond of people double posting. What I would recommend is editing your previous post, and adding onto it.
