  1. That sounds pretty scary...
  2. I am so confused... Rand chose to attack wormwood? Wormwood would have done 2 damage to the ring, Randuir isRand is going to kill one of us tonight, and only had 1 health left... So basically we just sacrificed a player to prevent 2 extra damage to the ring... Roles that are probably alive: We have 12 players left alive. This means at least 3 roles are compound roles. And at most 7. The people who have roleclaimed are as follows: If Randuir is an elim, we have at least 3 compound roles. If he is not, we have at least 4. Unfortunately, I don't find either of these numbers particularly unlikely... It sucks, but really I think we just hope that Moiraine, Lan, or Mat get targeted tonight by the creatures, as that will kill the creatures. At this point, I think the most valuable players are Moiraine and Rand. Moiraine luckily gets an extra life by diverting the attack to Lan. @Moiraine, I have not been able to figure out what your actions have been. I was roleblocked N3, and I don't know if that was you or an elim. PLEASE make sure you are roleblocking people. It will be pretty awful if you roleblock Rand, and you will have a 1/7 chance of doing so... But you will also have either a 2/7 or 3/7 chance of roleblocking an elim. @Rand, I don't mean to get after you for attacking Wormwood as I have a suspicion that part of the reason the ring wasn't damaged was because you attacked Wormwood. However, I think a player at this point in the game is worth much more than the ring. Currently I predict we lose N6 from villagers dying. If we had lost the ring last turn, AND no one protected for the rest of the game, I predict we would lose N6. But that is with no defending. With defending that should easily be extended to D7... and we could make as far as D8 if we got really lucky. This is why I say this is a very math heavy game. This post isn't very well thought out, and I am rushed as my cousins are coming over soon. idk how much time I will be able to put into the rest of this game, between work and entertaining them... The next week will be really busy for me. Everyone needs to do as much analysis as they can this turn, as the chances of any good individual surviving is slim. (We each have a 38%* chance of dying this turn... sooo....) *Number could vary depending on how creature kills work. Question pending Right now, I would bet on MrDoctor being an elim. I will try to do some more analysis at some point though. (no guarantee this turn)
  3. Umm, yes and no. Yes because... yes, it is about the allyverse. It is basically a roleplaying game were people create charecters based on Brandon's worlds, and have them interact. Better info can be found In the allyverse subforum (it is inside the roleplaying subforum). No because there is also something called Sanderson Elimination (SE) which is basically a game of mafia/werewolf, but with customized rules to fit in Brandon's world. (Can also be found in the roleplaying subforum)
  4. Hmm... well... possibl... you have a point there.
  5. Welcome to the Shard MrPotato! It seems you have read the stormlight archive ; ), have you read any other Brandon books? What is your favorite magic system? (And/or favorite order or radiant) Are you interested in roleplaying, games, or fun/killing your friends? Be careful of people offering cookies, they typically contain spikes...
  6. Are you trying to encourage people to join TUBA, Ark? You basically convinced me...
  7. Too bad Orlok didnt think this way during LG50, when elim!Fura apologised for lynching elim!MetaTerminal... he still cought us. Maybe what I did in that game was unusual, but I don't think it is a good defence for a player. Ok... what is the vote count? MrDoctor has at least 2 votes, mark 1, and drought 3? I don't like these votes... too easy for an elim to escape. I don't have time right now. Guests coming over. Can someone else do the vote count? We are almost out of time...
  8. ...but now they know that you know that they know that you know that they know that you are planning on assassinating them...
  9. The lack of kills confuses me a bit... the seer should have converted someone N1... If they did, they could have a kill every turn, regardless of whether or not the seer converted someone. I think we either have an inactive coinshot, or the coinshot hit the seer. as the thread came up fairly recently, it is still possible that someone will come out saying they caught the seer. As (again) there wasnt a kill last night, I think either the seer is inactive, is scouting other people's roles before converting, or possibly isnt killing yet hoping that we will target inactives. That last one is a bit of a stretch though... as once they do start killing, the ploy will be up... and chances are we will hit some of their converted by then. I would currently bet on the scouting player roles option. They may be looking specifically to catch the high value roles...
  10. Um, another quick question, what do you mean by "US gov" for democratic republic? Is that suggestion to have the 2 branches of gove with differant responsibilities with each branch... etc?
  11. I am indiferant about how long the time jump should be... what should I vote?
  12. My bad... just double checked the rules, and it wont mean anything: We would be asking Moiraine to manipulate your vote to test your allignment... but I forgot that it was specific to vote negating, and has nothing to do with Moiraine's manip. Nevermind.
  13. Good point... we ultamately want to kill an agent of blight this lynch, not aginor/padan fain. Assuming Padan fain exists, if we hit the agent, the forsaken now has to choose whether to attack or summon, rather than doing both. If we hit aginor or fain, they have at least 1 more cycle they can do both. Ninja d aman @Amanuensis any thoughts on intentionally not voting, and defending to test your allignment?
  14. Currently the vote stands as such: Droughtbringer (2): Fura, Mark That is it. @Amanuensis would you prefer we vote for Mark rather than Drought? That is what your post would imply... yet you cast no vote? We are getting late into the cycle, with 3.5 hours left I think.
  15. You don't sound biased at aaallllllllllll.... : )
  16. I havent done the math, and doubt I will have time to this turn, however, I think everyone who can should defend. Obviously Rand can't. There are several people who doubt will have a vote in by the end of the cycle. Hopefully Moiraine can submit their action as late as possible to maximize their chance of finding info out. Edit: but you are right, this is a bit less helpful than I was thinking...
  17. Hmm... I disagree... there are a couple intents the message could be: It could genuinely be telling the truth. They are an elim, are not Randuir, and are sorry about what they did to Ark. However, if this is the case, this would make me suspicious of new players, as they may not realize that Ark can technically still read the doc, and you know... apologising unnecisarily... this would make me suspicious of Karn and myself... however I havent apologised for something since my first game, so I will have to clear myself. : P It is Randuir trying to provide credibility to his statement that there is another player in the doc, when it is only him. This I also don't find impossible... but there are clues in the message as to who wrote it, and I don't have time to analyze those yet... There are a couple other possibilities, but those are the big 2 I think... (Or someone trying to make it look like one of those 2)
  18. I assume you are talking to me? No I do t think that, but I rushed to clear Randuir before, so I am intentionally not clearing him 100% in my head until either drought flips elim, or I do more thorough analysis on him... Again, don't disregard the fielder message. It just seems strange and unnecessary to me.
  19. The reason we know there is an elim in the fielders doc is because there was no kill on the creature D4. This 100% confirms that there is an elim in there. Randuir I am inclined to believe at the moment. I there are a couple players I think may be a third elim, and Mark is one of them, not based purely on his role, however I am not ready to target him yet... and would like to hear from him (and the others) before I accuse them outright. However, I don't want to target someone purely because they are in a doc, and I am a bit uncomfortable with the "my word against his" that Aman just did. Although they also suggested they do analysis at the same time si that is better. BR wasnt in a doc, and we know someone is in the fielders doc. There are 2 more elims, and 2 more docs. I still think it likely that there will be an elim in Moiraine's circle, as that could cause some interesting elim strategies, and would make the village reluctant to target them.
  20. I see you lurking, Mark... ; ) I am on mobile, so most of my Drought analysis will be from memory, but hear it goes. Firstly, I have been suspicious of Drought for a while. When he post game related posts (of which I can only remember 2), they just sound off to me. The first post he made seemed really overeager about killing elims. The second post he made was the first game related post. In it, he defended BR and me. Granted, the defence of BR was minimal, but an elim isnt going to go over the top explaining why you shouldn't lynch the other elim. There have been other gut reads and lynches, but Drought didnt ask for more details about any of them... Only BR. His defence of me was a bit strange as well. He said the lynch against me doesn't "feel" right. Other than Devotary, we have seen the elims go after none of overly active players. This combined with me pushing for his lynch previously, I can 100% see elim!drought doing this. Drought has had a post per turn count of 1.25. An average of more than 1, and yet has provided absolutely no analysis or help to the village. Randuir said that the person in his doc hasnt read WoT. Drought hasnt read WoT. Acknowledging this publically doesn't clear him to me as he was on my suspect list before he claimed. Lastly, randuir said that the elim in the doc was inactive the first couple turns... guess who this matches the posting pattern of? Droughbringer! Those are my reasons. Again, on mobile, so I may have missed something, but I think that I havent.
  21. Heh, yeah... Best to be on your guard. You can find Hemalurgy-Free cookies though from TUBA, in general if you ask for one of these, someone will provide. Another thing to look for is just don't trust anyone who uses strikethroughs. : ) Or rather, keep your eyes closed for spoilers? ; ) (No? not good? I'll try a different joke later then...) Oh yes! I forgot to recommend Sanderson Elimination and the Allyverse! Both can be found in the RolePlaying subforum. I can give you a brief overview of what the allyverse is, but Ark1002 would be much more suited to it. It is basically a FFRP (Free-Form Role Play), meaning that people create characters using Brandon's magic systems and worlds, and have them all interact with each other. The allyverse is currently being prepared for the next era (set of major plots), but if you are interested, there is nothing to stop you from joining now! (It is pretty cutthroat at the moment, but perhaps it will be slightly less so when we finish creating the Allyverse Government... Or perhaps more, who knows). Here are some links to some good threads to look through if you are interested: New Players Guide (still under some development), Character Info and Creation, Allyverse History and General Info. If you find those threads confusing in any way, feel free to message either Ark or myself. Another really cool thing is Sanderson Elimination (SE). If you have ever played a game of mafia or werewolf, it is basically like that, but in the Brandon's worlds. The rulesets are customized to work in the setting, and each game is slightly different. Unfortunately there aren't any live signups at the moment, but if you want to watch or ask questions about the games, feel free to check out the SE subforum. A word of warning though, any questions specifically about games going on right now will almost certainly not be answered. (to make sure not to spoil the games)
  22. Hmm, I think that the elims will be looking for Rand/Green man now... If they can find and kill both roles, they have a pretty straight shot to victory right now. But that kind of reference technically would mean that even several people that I semi-cleared earlier, could still be the person in that doc. Are you going to vote? EDIT: Moiraine, make sure to use vote manip today. You will either hard clear a villager, or confirm an elim today because of the ring.
  23. Yay, welcome Steel! (And Joe, forgot to welcome you in my original post) Randuir isRand should die today... But yeah, the village is still in trouble from the 2 kills per cycle from the elims (three/cycle starting N6 if we don't kill another elim) Rand is the only killing role left to us as the Fielders doc has been compromised... There is no other way to kill NPCs other than Rand right now... Though I don't know what you mean by "balefire" if you have any questions or if there is any way to help speed you up with reading the thread, let us know, and someone will say something. (but if it isn't from me, don't trust them ) @Mark IV I thought I tagged you in my last post... But idk what happened... From what I can tell, your last post was during N3, so this is the third turn. Hopefully you will be able to make it on before rollover. I am also curious about what thoughts and/or suspicions you might have right now. EDIT: This is the new creature's name: "BrEn Memorium". Does this mean anything to anyone? Br possibly being Brightness Radiant, but what confuses me is the capitalization... This may just be me, but when coding, you often smash words together, and to tell them apart, you capitalize the first letter of each word. Normally the first letter overall isn't capitalized, but that is what this makes me think of...
  24. I personally don't think it is a huge issue, I may be wrong though... I think picking someone only in 1 guild is an option, however I don't know how many of them there are... I think more often than not, people picked to be reps of great guilds will be people who have been with the guild for a while, and have shown they are loyal. For minor guilds, it will be much less of a problem than it will for great guilds. For me personally though, I believe this is all IC based on the conversation so far... so if my charecter that is devoted to the GB becomes a rep, I (and i hope most people) would try to further the GB cause. If my Keeper charecter gets elected, I would try to further the Keeper cause.
  25. As far as how often people should be able to change which guild they count for, I think it will probably be easiest to have people able to change it whenever they want, however the affects of the change only happen every so often. Which would discourage people from changing purely because they can. That is an interesting concern about the rep not looking out for their guilds intrests... however, I would say that is 2 things: 1. That's the risk of picking that rep. The guild should pick someone they trust to be loyal. 2. That just happens sometimes. It is politics. Maybe the TUBA rep made a deal with the GB rep that if the TUBA one voted this law a certain way, then the GB rep would vote how TUBA wanted in a differant law. Lots of give and take.
