Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yep, I agree with that after reading the reasoning. I admitted Fifth's plan was better, and stopped talking about people claiming. Yeah, I still think it would help the village. We know there are (likely) 6 aluminum out there, but I want to know how many of each, and I don't want to count on Gold (I think it was?) to tell me. I would much rather have people claim individually, and have those claims analysed by whoever gets gold. Yes, and I already agreed with Elandera that the valuable roles shouldn't claim. (Pewter, Bronze and Tin off the top of my head). But that is only 3 players... Sure. : ) Getting lynched is just part of the game. I have no issue getting lynched D1... Except for the fact I like the ruleset and kind of want a chance to use at least one medallion before I die. As CadCom is driving discussion, i'll take my vote off him for the moment. I am tempted to vote on Elandera purely because she will then have 2 votes on her compared to my 4... But I am not feeling very suspicious of her. I can't think of anyone specifically, so I will just hold off from voting for the time being. I will try to put one in before rollover. CadCom- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Why is it a better C2 lynch over a C1 one? One of the people claiming Aluminum is lying. So they are either an elim, or a valuable role. There are 4 elims, and 4-5 roles that would likely lie about them. That gives us a 50% chance that the lyier is an elim, and as killing all the elims we win, and killing all the valuable roles we don't lose, that is probably a safe bet to take. It is even possible that there is an elim in there that isn't lying. The elims could have intentionally sent themselves an aluminum medallion to mix themselves with the crowd. Do you think the points I made in my posts are invalid? Eternum, you are picking and choosing parts of my posts that make me look suspicious. I encourage everyone voting on me to reread my posts, as I give my reasonings in there. If you still find me suspicious, I have no problem with that. But contradicting me when I give my reasons and you do not should not be suitable grounds for a lynch. For those of you who have played games with me before, please note that we should have learned enough about the elims at this point that (in my opinion) it should be relatively clear that I had nothing to do with distributing the medallions.- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I dont really understand why people think I am suspicious other than the reason I am asking people to claim, which I already address In detail, is something that helps the village much more than the elims for C1. I will not be asking people to roleclaim other cycles, because that will benifit the elims more. Cadcom has been an elim 2 of his past 3 games if I remember correctly, but I find it interesting that you were in mild support for the role claiming earlier, and now are suspicious of those who started it? Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Fifth Scholar I admit claiming C2 what we had C1 is probably a better than claiming C1. I hadn't thought about that. I think my concern was that if someone with a medallion dies this cycle I wasnt sure if we would see what medalion was destroyed.- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The extra life isnt permanent... It is passed to a "random" player each cycle. I didn't see they claimed 2 medallions as I was skipping RP as I was at work... I suppose I cant do that this game... I have 1 iron medallion.- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Who has claimed medallions? I haven't seen it... Due to the last part saying that they choose what type of medallion, I inferred this to mean that this meant they got to choose who received the medallions. Though I suppose you are correct in that it doesn't truly say. @Kidpen Do the elims get to choose who receives the medallions they send?- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I disagree. This is the cycle we will learn the most. I agree pewter probably shouldn't claim. But another thing to note is that any medallions the elims destroy, they are not able to use either. Granted they have a less likely chance of receiving said medallions, but if there is one they think might be too useful to them late game, they would avoid killing that player. The elims already know al the medallions in the game. 1 of each type, plus the ones they sent out. They also have ~4 players, which gives them 4x more information about which players have which medallions. I think it is important to know early on if they even distributed any medallions, as the fewer medallions, the less likely it is the village will get one C1. This can also give us early insight into how the elims think, which could be quite revealing depending on the player.- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Sure, though that is the same in a normal role call. You expect some of the more powerful roles to either claim roleless or a weaker, easy to imitate role. The only difference is here, the role call has much less lasting damage, as our roles are constantly changing, with the additional benefit of possibly learning some of the roles the elims chose, and who they got sent to. This could scare the elims into claiming roleless, however, as the medallions are getting passed around, we should be able to get a sense of how many there are, and if we know there are more medallions than players who claimed to have them, then that makes the roleless sound suspicious as either an elim (lasting role), or a powerful role (not lasting). We are looking for elims, and they are looking for the powerful roles. Therefore, we get the better deal, as the information we gain stays useful through the whole game, unlike theirs. Sorry, I think I start to ramble a bit in there, but I am in a hurry, so this isn't super thought out.- 472 replies

@xinoehp512 Yes, I do. My team is 3574. How are you familiar with FIRST? Are/were you on a team? EDIT: Anyone want to do a role/medallion call? This would be the cycle to do that.- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am so glad there is a cycle 0, as it is probably the best time to be mostly inactive. Like I mentioned in signups, I wont be around for today or probably tomorrow either. After that we bag a robot, and I should be able to get on. (Unless I sleep too late, as I am currently running on 2-4 hours a sleep a night for the past couple weeks)- 472 replies

Assuming the game starts tomorrow, was it announced what time it is starting? Just curious as I am still super busy, and it is looking like I may not be able to get on (more than 15 minutes) over the next 2 days, just so you all know.- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I dont see what you are getting at... It should be completely fine. It isnt like if Tiempo attacked me with the coinshot abilities, Kidpen would actually kill me. (Unless he is an elim) In LG51, Wormhero made me a coinshot in the final writeup even though I wasn't actually one. It was just for flavor @FatherTiempo you can RP however you want, though sometimes it is hard to RP with others, some people (like myself this game) just wont be able to do it.- 472 replies

Ooh, I really like the medallion rules. I wont have much time, but as the game doesnt start until the 17th, my team shouldn't need me to be cutting parts... I will try signing up. I unfortunately will definitely not have time for RPing though.- 472 replies

You forget I knew your Wincon. There is no way I would have let you win without HG if we had gotten Odium. You would have had to ask for a different favor. : P

Sorry for technically double posting. Wait, if those were your powers, Maill, how did you know I was Culti? The entire reason I put myself into all my PMs was so that people wouldn't think I was Culti. as it would be too dangerous... (I even tried to subtly imply I was Culti in those PMs, as there is no way Culti would do that right? :P) I went into this game not expecting a Shard due to my expected inactivity, but I was SO happy I got Culti. It fits my playstyle perfectly as well. you or Stick. Or both. If you both had been returned, I bet we could have passed the stewards. : )

Well, to be blunt, it does help when no one dies. Our faction doc was at 60k characters after 2 cycles. We just started dropping in activity once we started dying, and even more once we realized that we wouldn't be able to recover Odium. *starts on rant* Okay, done for now. I was so confused when Aman died and was revealed as Khriss. I was pretty sure Maill/Ax was Hoid by that point, and was fairly confident I knew several of their powers. But comparing Hoid's powers to what I knew of Khriss made Hoid seem completely overpowered. (I am still curious as to what Khriss's actual abilities are if someone wants to elaborate ) Which is why I was so certain there were 2 of them. It was great looking through... I don't remember which faction it was, but I had already 1 on 1 PMed most factions, but I was trying to pass myself off as Nazh, and apperantly I did make 1 faction think I was likely a neutral. : ) (See Steel? : P ) "I think Iguana is just a good guesser and their interactions with Khriss have clued them in. " Thanks Maill : ). learning about Khriss did definitely help, but it was a combination of a lot of things, and I am really proud of my faction for being able to infer so much from so little information. We did this with Hoid+abilities, Player/Faction alignments, and Shard/Faction alignments. I think by the end of the game we had the fewest unknown player allignments, and were confident we had all the Shard ones (though we had the Shards pretty much since I failed to PM Alv) I also want to congratulate @Mr Mafia. I never would have guessed you were charcoal. You played a great first game, and I hope to see you in future ones! Also Aman, I was in fact telling the truth about "someone" staying up all night D2 on Sel, and do not live in Europe. Also Mark, "Also, do you live near South East Asia or Australia? Your time zone is weird" Nope! US West Coast! I was just too much into this game, and between 11pm and 5am is when I have the most time to devote to it. xD

Thanks. I mean, I said "I mean" a lot, ended quite a few sentances with "I think", and towards the end of the game, I stopped putting any care into masking my identity, but thanks. : ) I also secretly signed up AND constantly complained about how little time I would have if I was to join the AG... So that probably helped a lot/was most of it. (Speaking of which, I really didn't have the time to be on as much as I was) I just finished reading the faction docs (skimmed for the Stewards), and I want to apologize to the Stewards for betraying the members in your faction (though it was all in the name of trying to get UC to win with you), and to Hail Joe, to which I still feel only mild sympathy towards, however I (and my faction) were pretty hard on you guys. We were pushing for your deaths from the moment we learned you had Odium (basically the moment Ax/Maill died). @Magestar I wouldn't say I was pushing for a UC win out of spite to the other factions. I would have worked for a GlaDOS win if I had contact with them too. I just felt bad for Shattering Autonomy so early in the game (especially as it was my suggestion), and I always intended on fusing it back together. I also thought that UC only had 3 players for most of the game, which is a serious detriment. Just reading the Hoid doc now, and I feel like a meme of some kind must be made (I am no expert on these matters though). I just keep seeing these texts next to each other, "I’m part of the Seventeenth Shard. We’re hunting Hoid, so why would you think I was him?" + "Do you have any leads on finding Hoid, out of curiosity?" + "For that matter, any news on Khriss?" + "Haha nope. I’m hoping that we’re the only secrets in the game" I don't know why, but I found this exchange very funny. : ) Also, was I supposed to contact Dominion about shattering Odium? I tried but apparently Ostrich was a Steward. I thought at the time that was transmitted back to Hail Joe through Onyx's group PM with me. But I must admit, it was around this stage in the game where my mind just started to break down. Also, I think the factions with more than 2 Shards *cough*Hail Joe*Cough* underestimate the power of having 3 actions per cycle instead of 2. Losing Odium prevented us from roleblocking and the extra action, Odium's use for us wasn't just in killing/Shattering. (In fact, if you read our faction doc, almost every time we discuss killing the conversation is something like: Player 1: We should probably kill someone tonight Player 2: Any idea who? Player 3: Probably Gecko because they seem like they are part of a powerful important unstoppable faction. (of Lizards : P ) Player 1: Yeah... But alternatively I can Truthwatch and worldhop the next day or invest in FotS or... Players 2+3: Good idea. )

Thank you Joe and Seonid for running this game. I am quite disappointed in myself for joining late enough that my first Seonid game is also my last. Darn! And I thought my faction had an impressive character count. Is the Stewards of Creation doc a new record? The previous longest doc was somewhere around the 350,000 character range right? Good Job to the Stewards and GlaDOS (and Survival)! I ended up getting on after rollover, so didn't end up protect Chameleon like I promised, but I suppose it doesn't matter as she won. : P (Nice to be able to start putting spaces in my smiley faces again.) And Drake, what gave you away to me was you referencing the time in LG49 when you guessed my identity, not the reference to the previous Shard Game. (I couldn't tell if that was you trying to figure out if I was Fura or not though.)

Jules walked into the room. She was late she knew, and she wasn't even supposed to be here. She wasn't even sure at times if she even existed... But she was here none the less. She had accidentally bumped into some Feruchemist who was in a hurry to get his papers signed to be admitted into Alleycity, and once he realized Jules was a ferring as well, he asked her to take his place.
