Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hmm, as it could pertain to today's lynch, I will go and say that I do have Brass this turn, so whoever Soothed Dev almost gauranteed to be... not-Shane. It is midnight for me, and I have to wake up early (weekends are particularly hard for me), but i will try to add something... So, as we know there are at least 2 brass out there (likely only 2 though if gold only found 1), that means the elims added at least 1 to the game. This makes me think the the manip to kill Shane may not have been purely to get rid of Brass, as if the elims were so concerned about Brass, why would they put an extra one out there? Every cycle, there are only 2 1/4 chances for one of the Brass to land with the elims. Regardless, that gives less than a 50% chance for the elims to get brass. If they wanted to make sure village didnt have it, they wouldn't add more that the village would get 3/4 times. It is possible that gold (Roadwalker?) lied about some stuff. I havent thought enough yet about why they would do that though... actually, I doubt they lied about Brass at least, because it wouldn't make sense to imply Shane voted for themselves, which could make gold look suspicious... Other reasons they may have done the vote manip was to kill Shane specifically... though this seems unlikely to me. Shane seemed relatively inactive (intentionally or otherwise) and therefore likely wouldn't have provoked the elims. Or it could have been to save Ark. I keep coming back to this in my head. I also want to point out that obvious things like this may not always be a bad idea for the elims in this game. For instance, if Ark held a medallion that the elims wanted to keep around, it may be worth obviously revealing Ark as an elim, and get to both use the medallion, but keep it in the game longer. @Elandera, also, I claimed 1 Iron D1 right after a couple other people claimed. I wanted to get the games consensus before claiming, once it seemed I had it, I did. I only had 1 Iron. I am on Mobile, so I cant tag the post right now, but I may be able to find time tomorrow at some point... Ark- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Arky-boi If you personally used any vote manipulation to help save yourself last cycle, I suppose you can claim during the day, but you should claim ASAP. Maill, forgive me, but your list of suspicions contains almost every single active player... So I am going to take it with a grain of salt. Well, the Riot could have been an effort to save Drought, Ark, or Itiah. However as there has been no vote manip until now, it is a bit suspicious that a riot would help Ark the same turn a Soothe did as well. The Soothe was definitely to save Ark, as either Elandera and Devotary already addressed.- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I only had 1 bendalloy. Either could realistically work. posting now puts a target on the person's head, unless they come out with the results of their scan. Once they do that, the target is removed. I actually think claiming now would be good as there seems to be multiple tin out this game, and if the elims were really concerned about gold, they could have killed them by now. The downside of course, is if the elims do want gold out of the game, it puts a target on their head unless they claim. (As once they do, gold becomes useless.) I assume a contribution crusade has to do with lynching those not contributing? Shane did have brass, and was on after Devotary voted. It seems likely to me that Shane soothes Devotarie's vote in an effort to save themselves... Edit: just realized that Devotary was voting on Ark, so whoever soothed Devotary, indirectly killed shane. Therefore, Shane wouldn't have done this... Either Ark did it trying to save themselves, they have a friend convinced they are village, An elim was protecting an ally, or an elim was trying to frame Ark as an elim. This also confirmes there are multiple Brass. (As I don't recall multiple people claiming Brass earlier...)- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It is really difficult to truly keep track of what info about medallions are useful at this point in the game. I think it will be easier to gain info once we have a successful gold scan. I was suspicious of Dev earlier, but I am getting generally a village impression lately. I have heard that Devotary sounds the same as both village and elim, but am not ready to gamble on that just yet. Elandera has probably been providing the most analysis, and seems to be trying to drive the lynches. Unfortunately though, as there has typically been no lynch discussion until Elandera starts contributing, this is probably NAI as either a villager or elim would want to drive a lynch if one hasnt been started late in the cycle. Eternum was a high suspicion of several people, but seems to have dropped off the grid. @Eternum, you around? (I probably would vote on him, but it seems a little late for a poke vote) If I had to pick 1 person to lynch, it would probably be Tiempo. They have just felt a bit weird to me all game, and they dont seem to be supporting lynches based on fact. However, I think this is their first or second (?) game... so it could also be attributed to that. Not many people have actually done player analysis this game. I have done psudo-player-analysis a couple times, Elandera has, and I think Devotary has... but that is it. For now, I think I am going to stick my vote on @I think I am here., purely because the lynch is still up in the air, and I think he will be on before rollover to hopefully do some analysis. My vote may shift to Snipexe or Drought if Itiah posts some analysis, and one of them doesnt. I would also like to hear from @ElendVenture, @shanerockes. Any thoughts about the game? Any questions? Elend, you said you were confused, but we havent heard from you since. Are you still confused? If so, please ask questions so we can help. ITIAH- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Perhaps, but I have also had some of the most doubt cast upon me this game. I also don't have a history of particularly great analysis. I would have expected me not to die last night as there was still a chance I would be lynched today, which seems to not have a lot of momentum at this point.- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Typically how it is done is they agree on who to kill, and then one of them send in an action in the GM PM. Why do you ask? Last cycle I had 2 iron, 1 Electrum, 1 Alluminum, and 1 Bendalloy... I think that was everything... lol. Does someone have a chart of who claimed what medallions which cycle? (Or at least C1) I havent had time to make one. Edit; Also, why Rath? This deserves more thought... he was going after Devotary, but I think that was the only post he made? Everyone is decently suspicious of Devotary, so elims likely wouldn't kill village!Dev, but then why not kill Steel? When Steel has time, he is dangerous... Granted, perhaps it could be assumed that with school plus running a game, he wont have time to be productive here. In that case, the elims might leave village!Steel alive. I dont know much about Eturnum, Roadwalker or Droughtbringer. However that list plus Rath makes a lot of sense to kill one of them. After this, I suppose Rath's death isnt so strange, but it is still interesting I think.- 472 replies

Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
We are not claiming medallions we have this turn, just the ones we had last turn. (Unless you want to claim 5 aluminum... I doubt the elims would want to kill you then. Granted, you would likely be lying about what medallions you have, and therefore might be killed for that as there is a chance you are trying to conceal a valuable medallion...)- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I think most of the time it is, but if we were lynching someone who we are confident we know the alignment of, it maybe good to use bendalloy as if the person is elim, it gives the lynchee more opportunity to give us info on potential teammates, and if they are village, then it doesn't matter, as it won't impact voting the following day, as they die that night. Though this circumstance is few and far between. Another advantage could be that it delays the destruction of medallions by a cycle, and allows the player to communicate scans or results of actions taken during the day. (For instance, a Tin scan). These scans would then be verified immediately afterwards by their death, so we know immediately if they were telling the truth or lying. This is probably the main reason for a villager to use bendalloy. I don't know, no one seemed overly suspicious of Lum in my opinion. No one seemed confident, and while Elandera did by far most of the Lum analysis, she didn't think everything Lum did fit into an elim playstyle. Though her conclusion was that Lum was a new elim, I personally think that Lum didn't play like a standard elim or villager, or like what I have seen of a Lum villager (granted it was her first game). So I think that this conclusion was one based in a decent enough amount of fact to justify a lynch. These first couple lynch discussions may help us catch an elim later, but I personally don't think they mean a whole lot at this moment, as every lynch we have had, has had it's analysis from either confirmed villagers (ie Fifth and CadCom) or had undeniable amounts of suspicion (ie Lum)- 472 replies

Lum, I can't imagine why you are so specifically trying to avoid that post... That post alone is the one that makes you look suspicious, and instead of addressing it so we can move on, you are avoiding it. You even could have said something as simple as, "What I meant by that was..." and that would have taken a lot of suspicion off you as well. This seems indirectly contradictory to what you say here: You were not voting because you find Elandera suspicious, but because there is a bandwagon, which as we already know, was a false statement. AND this does not in itself, make someone worthy of a vote. why are you voting for me? because it may make you seem more credible? in that case, the answer to your question is no, it will not make you seem more credible. If you were voting on me due to analysis? sure, it would make you more credible. why is this pointless this round? Are you implying you have pewter? Sorry Lum, I feel compelled to support the lynch of you. I could continue with a summery of why (which the previous version of this message did), but I think it should be pretty clear by now why i am voting for you. Though if you can address everything against you before rollover, I could probably be convinced to change it... Lum- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hmm, so the elims created at least 3, probably 4 iron medallions, as I did end up using my iron medallion, and I now have 2 iron medallions, and Fifth had one... :/ (Just to be clear, I am not advocating we all claim our current medallions. I just found it a bit amusing that I used Iron, and now have 2, and wanted to say it. : ) ) I don't know who to vote for at the moment. I am probably the best lynch target, but I am not ready to die... Fifth dying isn't surprising as he has provided probably the most useful analysis so far this game. I think, in honor of Fifth's death, we should all roleclaim what roles we had D1. We already know the elims placed multiple Alluminum and Iron. I know want to know who they passed to. Also, whoever had Gold should share their results as well...- 472 replies

Hmm, I have yet to see a post by @Rathmaskal, @shanerockes, or @ElendVenture. I apologize if I just overlooked one of your posts. Hmm, Fifth you also have an Iron medallion? Interesting, as that isn't one of the ones I would have expected the elims to be distributing if chromium isn't maxed... There is an argument to max out Chromium and Aluminum, and add a couple iron to try and get those medals moving to the elims as much as possible?... I find it quite amusing that people generally find my speaking patterns suspicious. I think my problem is that I tend to type basically what comes to mind, then analyze it while typing it out. So when I have an idea, I write down the idea and analyze it, but if I realize halfway through that my idea doesn't work, I keep everything else in there. I don't have time for a good analysis post, but I will do my best. Sooo... I have a habit of targeting those that are supporting/protecting me (both as villager and elim), and this game is no exception. @Elandera's posts are throwing me off a bit. They, in general, have been very defensive of me but still seem to want to lynch me... Even though they voted for CadCom.- 472 replies

I unfortunately will unlikely to be able to get on at all this weekend/D2 unless I stay up until 2am again... I might do that, though I shouldn't. I am currently iron pulling a medallion, but I am considering not doing that in the hopes that, if lynched, I wont remove any medallions from play. I just got home from a long day, and have to wake up early tomorrow, so I am going to stop here. I should have a bit of time to do some stuff for this game tomorrow.- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
True, but the village has about a 3/4 chance every cycle of the village getting a pewter medallion. So it should spend more time in the village's hands than the elims. C1 is the cycle the elims need it the least, and the only time they can guarantee they have it. I said you specifically should have known this, as in previous games I have played with you (I think all of them?), you have significantly outdone pretty much everyone else in terms of game analysis. I am not denying it. I admitted I made a mistake in counting votes in the response to Elandera. I want you to clarify what you meant by that previous post though, as I find that post very condemning of both of us, and from the rest of the game's perspective, we are almost certainly the best lynch targets in my opinion. Unfortunately, that means we lose one "confirmed" villager.- 472 replies

Umm, I completely missed that. Yeah, you are right. Lum said they were voting on you because she wanted to bandwagon (?), but the bandwagon was on me... I mean, I know I am a villager, so I don't know why this would be the case, but it is very strange. Ninja'd by Lum (speak of the devil : P ) Lum, I may need you to rephrase this. What it sounds to me, is you are saying, "I saw Fura was a lynch option, and I was convinced Fura should be lynched. So I voted for someone else because it was a better idea". Is that a correct interpretation of what you were intending to say?- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don't know, by being the 7th person to claim, they set themselves in a suspicious situation, but also make themselves seem the least suspicious. This is something that given what I know of Lum (which granted isn't much), she doesn't seem the type to false claim and put herself in suspicious situations to implicate others... That just doesn't sound like her to me. Though I have never played with her as an elim before... Anyway, I personally never had a problem with the Lum clearing. I probably would have said it if you hadn't... Ah yes, I forgot I felt similarly. (I am really scatterbrained right now. Little sleep plus high stress is an interesting combination for mental health. : ) ) On a second readthrough, though Steel's vote is strange, it seems likely it was cast after doing a rushed read of the thread, which is what Steel seems to be implying he did. @Devotary of Spontaneity I don't understand where this assumption the elims have pewter came from. The elims would want as little pewter as possible in the game. Statistically, C1 is the cycle the elims have the least likely chance of dying, and this is the only cycle they could guarantee their protection. This protection also comes with the downside of possibly protecting villagers from the lynch and the elim kill. This will slow down the game, something the elims definitely don't want. Dev, you of all people should know this... (Unless I am overlooking something obvious, which I don't think I am...) the "Fura-Lumgol link" is that Elandera and I each had 1 vote, and Lum voted for Elandera over me. If Lum had voted for me, would you have said there was an Elandera-Lumgol link? The vote on CadCom itself doesn't seem too strange to me, as you hadn't truly addressed CadCom up until that point (and still haven't really...), this seems NAI. Easy for an elim to do, but last couple minutes of the cycle there isn't much time... I would like to point out that this also creates a Lum-Dev link. Lum is in a circle of people with suspicion on them, so elim!Dev shows a link between village!Fura and elim!Lum, when Fura dies It soft clears Lum for a bit. Though granted, for this to mean anything, both Dev and I would have to die, I would have to flip village, and Dev elim. And if Dev was an elim trying to do this, I wouldn't understand why she wouldn't vote for me. Eternum is on my list as well, but Dev I am increasingly unsure about. (If Dev is elim, I would put Lum on this list as well) … What? *rereads post* Oh, you want to see people's reactions? Well, I was both the first, and I think last(?) vote placed on you... So hopefully my distancing tactic worked... Edit: Nope, second to last to tie us up. Close enough right? : P Edit: Edit: Just reread my post. In typical Fura Fashion, I threw out several ideas and a couple accusations, yet end with as little information as when I started... Cool... : /- 472 replies

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
Furamirionind replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Sorry CadCom. In retrospect, perhaps it would have been best to have just let myself get lynched, as I will likely get lynched next, lynching 2 villagers instead of 1. To respond to @Devotary of Spontaneity's Question: I made a list last night, but as I am at work, I will just say that I would have maxed out both Chromium and Alluminum, and likely would have sent out a lot of Electrum and Cadmium as those are just really cool mechanics. I probably would have started the elims out with 1 vote manip, and both Duralumin and nicrosil, as it would be cool to do a massive swing D1 to throw people off. Especially if both people are villagers (which is statistically likely to assume before the game actually starts), as that might make the other person look suspicious. I would probably also max out Copper both because it can be useful for the elims, and because it will annoy the Bronze holder. I also *might* place a couple more vote manip roles out there, as that should hopefully cause some confusion about the lynch mixed in with Cadmium and Bronze. I haven't thought that one through though. basically, I would put out a *lot* of medallions. (And I definitely would have given CadCom Cadmium). With that many medallions in this game, most people should have 2, and some may even have 3. Granted, perhaps that did happen, and some people are lying about how many medallions they have, and I just got unlucky only getting Iron...- 472 replies

Haha, after reading your analysis Fifth, I started thinking, "maybe I should cast my vote on Fura". Then I realized Fura was me... Basically, the reason for the conflicting messages in my posts is because I dont have time durring this game to really think about this game as deeply as I would like to. This unfortunately though, is not a reason people should remove votea from me, which is why I haven't said it so far thus game. I still like the idea of medallion claiming, but doing it the turn after makes more sense than the turn of. Unfortunately, the other advantage to killing one of the 7, is it will likely remove an aluminum medallion from the game. A medallion the elims want.- 472 replies
