Personally, I like the idea of using investiture more, than if we implement modern cell phones. We have spanreeds, and you can use e.g. spheres, or aons to light a room, or to keep something cool. Something like a medieval city, with enough Investiture to offer some modern day advantages. In the end it's this border where magic ends and technology begins. But maybe we could work with quarters? We already mentioned a few times, that a part of the city still isn't completely rebuilt after the war, so maybe we could have some low technology quarters (those that have been rebuilt without much money) that go more in a medieval direction, and then we could have some quarters, at our level of technology (were rebuilt with money = guilds had their hands in the process). I know, that this will lead to some other problems, but it would offer a greater variety of settings we could use.

Mike nodded and switched on the light, wondering why he had forgotten before. "We might need to get you some other pants, but it's better than before." "And yes, we are alone. I have no idea what you're talking about." He waved his own statement away with a gesture. "Doesn't matter. Your planet is as strange to me as this city to you." Bending down he picked up the discarded cloak, wincing when his spikes moved. He turned away from Red to hide his discomfort at least partially, folding the cloak to mask the movement. "Who is hunting you?"

And you should change your shirt and pants as well." He pulled out some that might fit the cloak he'd chosen. "If they're looking for you just draping a cloak over your cloths won't help." "And I feel like, you mistake me for someone else. I've never been to Scadrial."

The old man raised an eyebrow. "And you don't have a name?" He started looking through his ledgers, then paused again. "It's a lot of effort for mme to find someone with such a vague description... What about a compensation?"

"Wigs, Make Up are over there." Mike opened a box. "Dye as well." He added and held it up. "We also have some cloths, somewhere." He opened ar different box, shook his head and closed it again. Opening another box he laughed and closed it, then switched to another stack. "Sorry, we try to keep it sorted, but it's hard with so many around..." After a while he smiled. "Here we are. Pants, coats, shirts. Different styles, from different worlds. Anything special you need?" Proudly he held up a pair of pants and turned around to Red, his eyes reflecting the light falling into the more or less dark room through the open door, his pupils slit like a fox's.

"Thank you." Lena placed some chrysts on the bar and took the drink. Looking over her shoulder she saw that the butler indeed had followed her. Grimacing she turned back to the barkeeper, took a sip from the drink and smiled. "I'm Lena. And that drink is perfect."

We have lots of heavily injured people here." ================= @xinoehp512 She stepped back a couple of steps and spoke to Mira. "What happened to him that caused all of these injuries?" "Some kind of explosion. A young woman brought him here." "Here, take this and pull back his flesh. I need to staunch the bleeding or he will die." She continued with her work, looking after one injury after the other. Finally she stepped back and nodded at Kera. "If you can't do anything more - I can't either. I took care of his wounds, but if he survives - that depends on him." She gestured to a nurse. "Check on him regularly. Call me or Kera, should he seem to be getting worse."

Nodding Mike turned around and led the way to the storage room. He opened the door and gestured for Red to step inside.

"We have a few things in one of the storage rooms. I can show you." Mike thought about it for a while longer. "And maybe in one of the shops."

"Maybe something in between?"

2124... But at least it's a number But I was impressed by the short time the delivery took. Usually it's at least two months, no matter what I order, because of customs, but this time it arrived after 4 weeks. I never expected that.
