  1. In the end, the aim is, that we leave characters longer at the same location/ thread/ plot line, to remove a bit the chaos of characters jumping around the whole time. I am definitly in favour, and I like the idea of more locations like the other side of the world, as you then have a chance to get to know the other characters better and really rp with them, but we also need someone to look after these locations, do the worldbuilding and lead the plot along. It might make it difficult for locations like the tavern, without a real plot and lots of rp going on. And there is also the issue, that you never know if the thread you're participating in will die or not, or if the pace set there fits you. The moment we make it harder to move a character around, we also make it harder for someone to switch to another thread if the first one doesn't fit/ work for you.
  2. Cool. I never really questioned why it was called like that...
  3. Hello and welcome to the shard!
  4. Hello and welcome to the shard! A short piece of advice: don't take the cookie and don't give away your breath.
  5. Curious Mike followed, trying hard to not laugh out loud.
  6. Mike nodded. "Sure." He stepped out of the room and looked around to see who was still there.
  7. Alertness replaced her exhaustion and she relaxed a bit at Max touch. All okay? For a moment she wanted to say yes, then decided to stick with the truth. I'm exhausted. And I have no real idea how to behave in such a fight. Sebastian shot some wires at Max and when she realized they were heading towards her, it was already too late, the metal wrapped around her arms, her neck. With a curse she elsecalled away again, to the other side of Sebastian, opposite of Max. Her skin hurt where the metal had cut through her cloths. She swung her weapon in a wide ark at him, mostly hoping to either hit anything, or give Max the chance to do something more useful.
  8. "Thank you." Lena handed him some chyrsts.
  9. Lena stared at the stranger and then again at the person next to him. He was right, she looked older than Freedom should be. But that voice, her behaviour, well the age couldn't lie. "I'm sorry, I misstook you. Obviously." She finished her drink and rested her head in her hands for a moment. Then she gestured at the barkeep to bring her another one. @Invocation
  10. Mike only pushed his shirt up, exposing the spikes. "They can." He let his shirt fall down again. "I have all these animals living in my head, they take over sometimes, change me, they want to be in control, but it's my body, I won't let them." He sounded desperate then shook his head. "Forget it. Can't be changed anyways."
  11. "Freedom?" Lena turned around at the familiar voice. "Haven't seen you in a while. How are you? And your brothers and sisters?" @Silva
  12. Lena thought for a moment. "I heard some kind of gang was looking for new members." She gestured towards the jobs. "Somewhere over there should be the corresponding notice."
  13. Althea smelled the fire and instinctively she stared up, watched it vanish within a second without anything to sustain it. Her throat constricted and she inhaled more stormlight, although it would make her careless. She needed to start thinking, to function. Max lying on the floor, Solace forcing her - she pressed a finger in the wound in her arm and she gasped from the pain, the memories vanishing. "I have unfinished business with the pair of you." Realizing she had missed him leave the ceiling she forced herself to step away from the wall. Concentrate. "I can't say I'm happy to see you."
  14. Lena laughed. "He's not interested in that way. I'm an asset, he wants to keep." "I'm from Sel, originally. But I've lived here for a few years."
  15. Lena nodded. "I have to admit, I'm only here for a drink. But yes, you can get a job here." She gestured towards the butler, that accompanied her. "He even sent his butler to follow me." Shaking her head she smiled at Lita. "Are you from here, or from a different world?"
  16. Lena looked up. "Yes." She sighed. "I'm Lena. Nice to meet you."
  17. "I'm not immortal." Mike exclaimed and then he understood. "I can't shapeshift. Well, I can, but not like you think. It's complicated." He pressed a hand against his chest and stared at the floor. "I told you they like to do experiments."
  18. "None that I know of. But it's led by someone called Bella."
  19. Renarin looked at her and bowed gracefully. "I've been looking for you, oh joy of my live."
  20. "The Ghostbloods. Maybe go to Oasis City. Or you leave a message with me, but it might take a while for someone responsible to come by." He thought for a moment. "As for the gang, I'd look in one of the Taverns. There's one where you can look for jobs. I can describe you where it is."
  21. Mike nodded. "So, you are immortal?" he blurted out and then immediatly shook his head. "Sorry. I didn't mean to pry."
  22. The man nodded. "He went off with Mike, one of the youngs ones, that have to work here for a while. Mike led the way, so they were either off to the Ghostbloods, or to that gang Mike joined a few months ago."
  23. The old man tapped the table in front of him and looked meaningful at the coin.
  24. "Yes. Two brothers and my parents. They live in a village close to the city. I visit them now and then." Mike smiled brightly at Red. "But you aren't alone anymore. You have me and the gang."
  25. Mike leaned against a box, nodding thoughtfully. "It's hard when you can't trust those that were like a family anymore." A shadow crossed his face and he shook his head at the memory. "When it all breaks apart, like a bowl shattering on the floor." He smiled at Red. "The glasses look good on you. And if you need help, I know I'm just a boy, and inexperienced, but if I can help, tell me." For someone had reached out for him, had given him a chance, and although Mike hadn't spoken to him again, he hadn't forgotten.
