  1. Sart Vapor Let's see if someone else changes their vote/ places one. And I really hope I'm not completely wrong.
  2. Or vials. Matrim mentioned not having a vial in C1 and even asking whether he would be able to gain one to change that. So regardless of some roles revealed, we can't count on everybody being able to use them/ having been able to do so. And yes, I will change my vote. If you are an elim, congratulations for manipulating me, but for now I favor Sart over STINK, if only because STINK is active and offered a few thoughts and Sart hasn't. That is still a tie though, but unless someone else changes their votes as well, that will be the case anyway. ============== EDIT: ninja'd by @Araris Valerian .... so Araris, @Elkanah as we all seem to share some suspicion on Vapor and he is my number one elim suspect at the moment - what do you think about lynching them? Or Araris, what are your thoughts on Sart? I would really like to avoid another tie.
  3. So my whole post got deleted, due to my computer giving up in between, so here's what I can remember. =============== Your whole post feels a bit sarcastic to me, maybe? That's a little confusing. Anyway. I never refered to anything Gears said before the game, mostly because I didn't pay that close attention to specific playstyles or annoncements in that regard and therefore don't feel as if I can rely on that at all. In short: we obviously don't really agree that Gears claims were NAI, and I disliked that you completely neglected the fact that he also claimed villager this game, nor considered anybody else until your post above. That felt like someone looking for an easy way to participate, without offering a lot for others to go off. That's why I voted for you. ============ (You quoted Araris post where he refered to the fact the thinks it's suspicious to vote if you plan to retract your vote again.) I have to admit I felt, as if Araris' wasn't defending Elkanah with that post, but rather throwing some suspicion his way, especially with his second sentence. I could interpret it the wrong way, but it feels a little off that you put it here like that, as if you try to find arguments for something that isn't actually true. I'm not quite sure what to make of it, but it does strike me as add. ============== Okay, so here is the current vote count (unless I missed something): Vote Count: Silber (1): Elkanah STINK (2): Araris, Sorana Elkanah (1): Joe Araris (2): Vapor, STINK In short: Xino/ Silber: both are pretty much inactive, posting just enough to avoid the filter. I have no idea how to read them, as there isn't enough to go off. While they could be elim's hiding behind their low activity, lynching them won't reveal that much information either. Joe: your post cleared up a lot of things, and while I don't agree with all of your reads, it was a relief to read it as it gave me something more to work with. mild village for now Vapor: been torn about them ever since the game started. Still dislike the way they voted for gears and their reasoning posted above feels off to me. Mild elim. Sart: hasn't posted at all this cycle, but at least left some reasoning behind for last cycle's vote. Didn't offer any thoughts at all on any other players apart from gears which is a little suspicious in my eyes. I wouldn't be opposed to a lynch, should one take off. Neutral, tendency slight elim STINK: their post above left me confused, I'm not sure what to make of it. For now my vote will stay where it is, despite the fact that we've got another tie. I hope I'll be able to check in later and see if something changed (but no promises here, not even something close to that. I suspect I won't be able to.) Araris/ Elkanah: I filed both of them as "mild village" in my head a while ago, but I'm starting to doubt myself here. Can't quite pinpoint the exact reason, so nothing to put down here. I think I maybe would prefer an Araris lynch over an Elkanah one? I don't know. Consider me confused regarding the two of you. ============= So thinking about it, I think I would be the most comfortable with a Vapor lynch, or maybe Sart, despite the fact that they don't have any votes on them at the moment and given the hours left in the cycle I'm not sure if that can change quick enough. ============= @xinoehp512 @Lord_Silberfarben @Sart It would be awesome to hear your thoughts on the game!
  4. @I think I am here. ================ "I will." Shana nodded, worry rising within her chest. She'd suspected that something was wrong with Rob, but for James to announcing it that openly suddenly changed the whole situation. If James noticed, then it had to be more than just a mood. Or maybe not. The last few days had been hard for all of them. "Just, something else first." she looked down at her hands, then at Ben standing next to her, feeling selfish for postponing something like that. If Rob needed help, he needed it now and not when she felt like it. "The Voidbringer." She began instead mentally stomping on her guilt and pushing it deep deep down into some small corner. Rob needed help because she had - "It's, I -" she started distracted by her own thoughts and balling her hands she took a deep breath. "Okay, so the Voidbringer. He claimed that we attack them. That we hunt them down, their innocent ones, those of them that only want to live in peace." It still sounded wrong, strange. "I know we never did that, but maybe, maybe someone else did? So far we only reacted when we were attacked, but what if he's right? What if there are some actively hunting them down, forcing them to look for our weak ones, like us, only to survive?" @Lunamor @Wyndlerunner
  5. 1) I have no idea, to be honest. Based on that I would suggest the following: he can't be affected by physical stuff (weapons, stones, Investiture affection only the body), but he can be affected by everything targeting something else (shardblades, allomantic allomancy,...) that should make it easy to divide what should work and what doesn't.
  6. Hello @Esane I've got a short question regarding your character. What exactly do you mean with spear/staff? The skill to use a spear or stuff or that they own a special weapon? In general: your character is a little too strong (although that also depends on the question above), so they might end up within our borders, depending on how skilled they are with their weapon.
  7. ooooof... that's bad. Anyway I still have no real idea what to do with Silber or Xino as neither posted a lot. Vapor is the same than last cycle, I really dislike the vote throwing somewhere and then vanishing and I'm still suspicious, but they didn't offer anything else for me to go off. So I kind off have to leave the three aside for the moment. @Elkanah could you explain a little more your reasoning for voting on Xino? Or was their low level of activity the sole reason? I'm more inclined to file both Elkanah and Araris as village for now, than I am with Sart, Joe and STINK so that's what I'll do for the moment. Sart and Joe used the same reasoning I did, but Joe at least considered other players like Illwei in their post while Sart focused solely on Gears. That doesn't mean that much given that both Illwei and Gears flipped village but at least Joe appeared to consider someone else, which is a plus point in their regard. For now I'll vote for STINK, their reasoning for Gears was flimsy at best, focusing only the part where Gears claimed elim and neglicting the part that he announced it before the game and that he also claimed village one post earlier.
  8. ========== He turned and she followed his gaze over to the crowd, made sure her eyes didn't stop on those that had accompanied her to this place. She was nearly grateful for his momentarily distraction as it offered her some time to think about his words. They were erratic, nothing new here, but also worrying. He wasn't the same - something had happened, something to leave him like that, broken. And while they all were, if was different with him. She'd never met a Radiant that erratic, jumping around like that, nearly unable to form a full sentence. Especially not a Dustbringer whose order was also focused on discipline and control. He had first talked about the city, but then changed, changed to something else. Something he didn't need to burn. She drank another sip of wine, forced herself to remain calm, unsure how he would react if he noticed her frustration. She didn't know enough. She might be able to help, but she had nothing to go off, at least not enough to be sure what she did wouldn't cause more harm than it did good. "You can create something you don't need to burn." she stated calmly, focused on that instead of something else. We all change, but if you want to, this city offers you a chance to create something new, a place you can stay." cautious words, but the only thing she could come up with right now. "If you want to, I can help you, maybe show you around, introduce you to others, if you need some assistance I can't offer."
  9. You honestly just gave me half a heart attack. I was pretty sure I've got two times to post in a MR while sticking to my usual times on the shard... ========= Anyway I tried to sum up a little how I feel about people, although it's all subject to change, there isn't a lot to go off yet and while I did read some of the other games around here, I want to make up my own mind and instead of following someone else's meta reasoning. Joe - active, but posts mostly with strategic planning (all of it pretty obvious to me), doesn't offer a lot of reads of their own, was the first to jump on Gears in C1 and pushes that lynch again (very, very slight elim) Araris - created the tie, but claimed to trust Elk to resolve it in time, imo too obvious a move for an elim (slight village, but I'm not entirely sure yet) Elkanah - offers good reasoning and I'm inclined to believe they got the timezones mixed up, reasoned that the elim's would profit from a lynch so by his own reasoning he acts like a villager (very, very slight village) Gears - very active, posts analysis // very defensive the moment the first vote(s) were placed on him, rendered his own ploy useless by arguing a lot, the whole claiming in itself is in my eyes more harmful for the village although it does offer some fodder for discussion (very, very slight village) Illwei - replies to others and offers reads and reasoning, but I have harder time to place them than I do with some others, although I don't have a good reason for that (neutral for now, will keep an eye on them) Silber - nothing to go off (neutral) Matrim - very active in thread, posts analysis and reasoning (slight village) Stink - I'm a bit unsure what to make of their post, while I understand the reasoning, I do think it's a little more complicated than that, if only by the fact that Gears claimed both village and elim within two posts (neutral) Sart - pushes for the Gears lynch to gain information, village reasoning, but not many posts to go off (neutral for now) Vapor - doesn't offer a lot of reasoning behind their votes, nor anything else, I can't judge the 'this is their style part' at all, but the flimsy reasoning gives me a bad gut feeling (suspicious neutral - I'll keep an eye on them) Xino - didn't post a lot so far, I can't judge his reasoning for their vote on Araris at all, didn't post again afterwards (suspicious neutral - will keep eye on them) ============= So I am still not really comfortable with a Gears lynch, although I do agree that we definitely need to lynch someone this cycle, we can't afford to loose another one. I have trouble to make my mind up whether to leave a vote on Gears as well or not, because while I know that we need the information, I would rather lynch someone else (see reasoning I offered earlier). But then, this is the second cycle we spend a lot of time discussing Gears and his claims, so I'm considering whether it would be better to solve the situation, so that we have more time to focus on someone else, especially given the fact that right now most are voting on him and I'm not sure if another lynch would be able to gain enough traction in the few hours left. In short, I won't place a vote right now and will check back later to see if anybody posted. If not, then at least I gained some time to think about all of it. =========== EDIT: I decided to place a vote on Gears. It's more a strategic vote on my part, not one because I'm convinced he's elim. I think that we need a lynch, and I also think that we spend far too much time discussing him and his claims. Lynching him will clear the situation and hopefully give me/ us something to work with next cycle. I won't be able to take a look later on and with no new information, that's the best I came up with.
  10. "Oh no, not at all!" she smiled again. "In that case, I'll leave you to your business. Give me a call should you need anything else!" Turning around she lifted a hand and then walked out of the door.
  11. Tuesday sounds perfect to be honest I have to work overtime this week and to be able to push the roast back to the weekend would spare me a lot of stress.
  12. @Silva @kenod @Archer @Emi
  13. @Kings_way I have to admit, I feel as if we need to talk about that for a bit, as it's pretty vague right now. If I understood you correctly: 1) weapons aren't able to hurt him, when he hasn't formed a body --> what about Invested weapons? A shard blade for example hurts the soul first and the flesh second. 2) Investiture: Investiture relying on targeting the body won't work, as he has no body, Investiture targetting his 'essence/ soul' does?
  14. Actually I tried to explain my reasoning, sorry if that wasn't clear. I disliked the way they jumped on the Gears train as the third person, without giving much reasoning himself. That seemed to me, as if they tried to participate, throw a vote wildly in the room, based on what other people said, and with no thoughts of their own. That was it basically. It was C1 without much to go off and I knew I wouldn't be able to be back later on to take a look at the way the discussion went, so I had to work with what was there. (I can see now, that my worrying about creating a tie was far too early, there definitely were enough people awake in time to do something with it, so I'll remember that for later on.) ======== Regarding this cycle. I'm inclined to believe Elkanah that he mixed up the time zones, because that can happen easily (although please note that I have no idea which time zone they live in and how hard it might be for them to calculate when rollover would be). But they posted shortly after the thread went up, so an hour off is possible I think. I'll keep an eye on them for now. The first question that comes to my mind is 'why not'? By lynching Elandera we lost someone I filed as rather active and very perceptive. The two candidates that were up for the lynch were both rather 'random'. With a lynch we would now have a lot more information to go off, a starting point to say so. But as it is, we are still standing in the dark without being any the wiser. Given the vagueness of reasons on both candidates, actually the elims can profit a lot from the tie, at least if you ask me. I know that the goal is to get rid of the villagers, don't get me wrong, but a confused village can make it a lot easier to hide in and to gain trust. I'm not entirely sure about Araris, even though he was the one who tied the vote in the end, as that lynch was pretty close to a tie most of the time. I'm leaning towards a village-village situation to be honest, although we would need to lynch at least one of them to gain a little more information. Right now, with Vapor not posting and Gears contributing a lot, we would gain a lot more insight if lynched Gears (but so far they have given me no real reason to mistrust them and contribute a lot, so I'm not sure if that would be wise.) But then, I am not really convinced of the other candidates that are up for the lynch. Illwei's explanation is a weak one, but again it was C1 and it's pretty hard to make a good, informed decision. I would have prefered to see it earlier though along with their vote. Although the fact that they were suspicious of Elandera isn't entirely in their favor. I'll take a look at their posts again, probably reread whole C1 again, see if I can come up with something more.
  15. "My eyes, are my eyes." she shrugged slightly, "they were always red, I was born with them like this. Over the time, with enough soulcasting they changed. Turned a deeper red and their shape changed from something ball-like to this." her hand gestured towards her eyes. "I can see with them yes, ever since I bonded my spren I started to be able to see more than vague shapes until today. There are some" she hesitated, unsure how to phrase it without revealing her weakness to light, the way she immediatly was blinded by a little sunlight outside, "downsides. But I can see." His next question made her pause again. Wasn't it quite obvious? But then there maybe were a lot of people who supported those who destroyed. "Because I dislike people who try to do that." she replied calmly. "Because I'd prefer to find a solution to this mess, that everybody can work with. And you not lighting this city on fire is a central part of the reason why I am here." She suppressed a sigh, remembered how easily he had sacrificed the building for his own gain. Maybe this wasn't worth it. Maybe she should simply hand him over to the skybreaker as he earned. "Are you alright?" she asked instead. "You seem to be a little... unhinged." @Ashbringer
  16. ====== Irritated why the trader replied to her Lena frowned. "I thought you knew how to sell my goods?" she inquired and then shook her head again. "If you're more a detective, I'm even less sure you have what I need." With another shrug she turned around. "Mind if I take a look? We can't talk business while you're busy." Without waiting for his reply she walked off, looking around curiously. You never knew, hopefully this information would come in handy soon.
  17. "Here you are." the woman smiled pleasantly. "Please let us know should there be any trouble with the formatting or the wordcount. We can always make a few adjustments and send you an updated article over soon." She placed the exact amount of chrysts on the desk between them and then added her business card. It was rather simple, mostly containing some text that read: Marian Cox Marketing Assistant "Do you have any other questions?" she inquired politely without ever stopping to smile. "Otherwise I would leave you to your business."
  18. Mike had followed quietly while the detective took over. He was a professional, so much was obvious from the way he talked and moved and how he headed from one place to the other without hesitating. He was relived at that and while he feared that he wouldn't be able to pay for any part of this - he still couldn't help but feel relaxed now that the matter was a little out of his hand. Silently he looked around through the room, unsure what to do now, how he could help. @Lord_Silberfarben ============= Lena sat down on a nearby table and watched the man talk to some other guests of his. She started to hum a happy tune after a while, bored by endless discussion and hopped down when she grew too bored. "Hello." She waved a hand at the three newcomers. "I'm Lena." she found herself grinning a little. They looked like sheep, especially the boy. Always staring down at his feet, unsure where to look and if he was in a right place. "Are you sure, you should ask for someone you're looking for at a Trader's guild?" With a shrug she made a sweeping gesture through the room. "I doubt they are the right place to gain informaton." She had no idea if it was the right place or not, but it didn't really matter. She mostly wanted to annoy them a little. @AmazingGoob @Spren of Kindness
  19. Actually I counted the votes and realized that it was only me left resulting in a tie leading to no information at all. And that was exactly what I was trying to avoid, because no lynch and no information is worse than a misslynch. I can easily have missed someone, but I dislike to create a situation that, given the few hours left and many asleep can easily lead to a lost cycle. But then, it's my first game here, so I'll heed your advice and go with the I'm a tad more suspicious off. Vapor. Joe.
  20. Actually, I feel as if most of the outcomes are actually bad for the village. Like right now, you definitely dominated this cycles discussion, which if you are a villager leads to a lot of attention to your posts, and therefore makes it easier for an elim to hide in between. Additionally I interpreted your post in a way, that you try to establish this kind of claiming as a part of playstyle. In that case you end up with two "free" posts each first cycle. You are already known for your analys and then you have the "joke claiming" as a second one. It offers you a way to post twice the first day, without giving off any indication regarding your alignment, which in the end is bad for the village again. Anyway I'm not convinced your joke/ ploy is worth lynching you for, not without something else to go off, although your defensivness does trip me off a little (as mentioned in my previous post). I dislike the way Joe and Vapor jumped on the Gears train a little, and given the fact that voting Vapor will result in a tie, resulting in no information at all, I'll place my vote on Joe @A Joe in the Bush for the moment.
  21. Honestly, the longer you talk about your reasoning and try to defend yourself the more suspicious you are in my eyes. If you really simply wanted to try out your ploy, then you spend a lot of time arguing around it, instead of simply living with the results. The whole ploy parts becomes useless the longer and the more you try to explain it. (And yes, I know that there are no thousand other topics around, but still.)
