  1. Then blue teams clue is sister. 2 @Rhapsody @Scion of the Mists @Herowannabe @Julio I'm on mobile, and hopefully will have time to edit in a countdown clock and formatting later on, but I'm not sure. The timer will end at 5:55 PM MST (Utah time) on Monday, August 20th
  2. I just want to verify, @I'm pretty You were Ark1002, correct? It can get confusing when people choose to change their usernames, and I just want to make sure that's correct. Someone changed usernames halfway through my first game too, and that was a bit confusing.
  3. I'm a student at UVU, and work full time, on top of that, but I might also try to sneak by one of the meetings some time. No promises though. I'm a busy person
  4. Hi @RedYlang Nice to meet you! Yeah, there are actually other examples of investiture being used from one planet to another, Hoid being the one who does it most, but others do it as well, like you mentioned. Anyway I would reccommend checking out Cosmere Q/A and the Arcanum links from the forum page on this website. Arcanum has most of the WOB's out there, and the Cosmere Q/A and other topics in that section have fan speculations/ and fan/confirmed theories. Anyway, around here, we like to greet each other by saying "My life to yours, my breath become yours" You should try it! and Have an upvote!(like)
  5. Analysis of Araris: D1: Starts with a poke vote on Steel, removes vote after Steel pops in. Begins discussion about Night action. Later, Phatt votes for Araris, At the time a vote was placed on him, no one had more than one vote, He placed the second vote on Itiah. The first person on Itiah was Sart. We know that Itiah and Coop were both village, so after the lynch seemed to be heading toward those two, the remaining elims did not need to continue voting for those. Just because they didn't need to, doesn't mean that they didn't I'd soft clear the last couple of votes for either candidate. Later on during the Lynch, Phattemer removed (his?) vote from Araris, after it was clear he was no longer a going to be lynched. That seems typical of something a villager would do. So if phattemer is experienced, which apparently he is, and is just returning from a haitus, then it would be smart for him to do if he was elim. (But now we're entering into WIFOM scenarios) N1: There is basically no discussion that I saw that referred to Araris, or done by Araris. D2: Araris joins the quick (apparently) joke bandwagon on Rand that was started by Steel. Rand responds with "Araris, I figuratively don't even" Then Steel placed a vote on Araris, asking for an explanation. Araris immediately removes it from Rand. This makes it look like he was trying to stop any serious thought on Rand as a lynch target. Later, Rand during his analysis, sort of defends Araris, as well as many of the others. He did focus on addressing the possible reasons everyone voted on Itiah, but it seems like he put extra effort into discussing Araris, making him look suspicious, but not too suspicious. By the end of the post, Xinoehp was Rand's top suspicion, which is exactly who the person before him voted for. It's as if Rand wanted to make araris suspicious, while at the same time, cementing the vote on another person. Rath also mentions that Araris tends to get killed early in games, suggesting that araris has a suspicious playstyle, which often results in him getting killed, even when he's villager. Stick mentions a that he wanted to vote on Araris D1 for no particular reason. then goes on to explain that reason. During d2, there's also a little bit of discussion that araris was involved in about the difference between the village doc last MR, and the Synod doc this game. TL;DR? I am kindof suspicious of Rand, and also Phattemer. For now, I will place my vote on Randuir. (look everyone! I voted! Yay!) But Phattemer is a close second, and if it comes down to Phattemer, and someone other than Rand, then I will change my vote to help solidify a lynch on him. -RP- Ethin hadn't gotten any business since he re-opened after returning to Tathwingden. Literally none. Business cannot grow without customers, and it seemed all his potential customers were too focused on the current debacle of spiked infiltrators in the Synot. So Ethin decided to start a heavy advertising campaign. He got business cards, and began passing them out to everyone. He made flyers, and posted them on every public board, and street corner. He also decided to make a large sign and hang it up in front of his building. Many terris did not approve of too many bright colors, but Ethin was young, he was a modernist. He decided to add lot's of color to his sign, and when he saw the final product he absolutely loved it! While SCUBA diving in the Southern Dominance, he saw many new things, and he decided to incorporate some of them in his design. As the background, he had a Pink Reef, with green quagga mussels, and the extremely rare orange sea turtle that he was lucky enough to spot on his trip. Surrounding it all, He placed a family symbol, a scarlet ring, that represented prosperity, and a time before the lord ruler seized control as he did. He hung the sign right above his door, then, feeling proud with his new advertising campaign, he stood outside to greet anyone who passed by. Today was going to be a great day! My RP's aren't the best (IMO) but I am willing to RP with anyone willing

I forgot I had made this post. Let's see. 1. Probably to New York 2. For most of it's history it was Assur, but for brief periods of time, Ninevah acted as the capital. I had to wiki that one 3. It depends on how you look at it, but it's either 0 or 1 4. It's Vasher, and because in the end, which is pretty cool. That's totally canonically accurate
  7. Welcome! have an upvote! Here we like to greet each other by saying "My life to yours, my breath become yours" You should try it! Also would you rather be (Your favorite type of radiant here) who has trained with all 10 surges, or a lerasium Mistborn? The alleyverse is pretty fun! I frequent there on occasion! Another spot to check out is Sanderson Elimination! it's kindof like the party game Mafia, but adapted to play on a forum! It's my favoreit place on the Shard, but the Alleyverse is a close second!
  8. I actually had a question about this post that you linked here. It's probably just me over-analyzing things, and I noticed it from when he first posted it, but I just went back and saw it again. There is something quirky about this post, and I don't know why it would be like that at all. When he first started talking about steel, There's nothing alignment indicitive here but the word "Steel" is a Dark blue. but then the " 's" is black, and the rest of the sentence is black. It's almost not noticeable, but if you zoom in or copy and paste and make it bold it's more visible Steel's rationale I'm just confused because it's not red or green, used for voting, and it's not the typical blue used for out-of-game announcements, and it's almost not even recognizable as a seperate color It's probably nothing, but I was just confused, and wanted to know the reason if there was one. If anything, it almost makes steel's name look metallic, and, dare I say, Steeley
  9. This makes me think that some people are either tapping, or planning on submitting a night action. Hopefully we can get some good information at the beginning of D3. Snip was an iron ferring, which does have vote some vote manipulation I want to look at each of the different roles and abilities I know it's already been done, but maybe I can have a different perspective, plus it'll help me understand them better. With 19 people originally playing, and 9 roles(8 ferring, one full feruchemist) It's possible that there's at least two of each role. An iron Ferring could be responsible for one of the vote manip's D1, by filling. If they tapped this cycle, then they could be responsible for 1 or 2 of the difference between 5 vote manips and 2. Snip was one of these A steel ferring, if not part of the Synod or elim team would not be at any disadvantage yet, because there are no PM's yet. If they're part of either the Synod or the Elims, it's possible that the other members of that group don't even know that there is another member. Or it's possible that they do know because they've posted on one of the cycles. Actually, upon closer review, it looks like they just can't post during the day, when they're actually filling, so they would be able to post at night. I really hope that there is another steel ferrring (itiah was one) who plans on causing chaos and opening up 25 PM's sometime within the next couple of cycles. Tin will most likely have some vote manipulation D1, if they chose to fill. That vote would have been negated. If the tin ferring began with 2 charges, they will be able to determine someone's alignment tonight. Pewter ferrings won't be voting, if they want to fill their metalmind. Which makes Elan an interesting case. She voted D1, which means they weren't filling But then they were killed, so they weren't tapping either. They may have been trying to do a double fill. IIRC, Elan mentioned that during D1, I'd have to go back and check though, and I don't really want to do that right now, as it's obviously not Alignment indicitive. (elan is dead). Zinc possibly explains a bit more of the vote manipulation. While storing, they have to vote, but it's negated. But they may not have stored D2, tapping or trying for other action. Zinc tapping kindof confuses me, maybe a zinc ferring could better explain it for me? Brass doesn't necessarily cause vote manipulation, but a brass ferring would change their vote a lot. Tin scanners would probably be wise to not scan someone who changed their vote a lot one cycle, but didn't change their vote much this cycle. because they may just block the scan. Anyone wanting to hide from a tin scan would be wise to constantly change how many times they change their votes. WIFOM or IKYK has now been set up. You're welcome Bronze doesn't do any vote manipulation. But they will never scan as tapping or filling to a day tin scan. This is important to remember. Night tin scans may be beneficial as well to see if anyone is trying to submit extra actions. But if anyone has been confirmed to take a single action at night it means that they aren't a filling or tapping bronze ferring. It doesn't mean they aren't a bronze ferring, just that they werent manipulating their metalmind It is possible that there is another copper ferring out there, but it might be unbalanced if the village had 2 of those plus any full feruchemists. Copper is randomly redirected, but because coop didn't vote D1, his vote didn't affect vote manipulations any other copper ferrings may have had their vote redirected though. IMO a double tap of copper is useless until a 5-tap has already occurred. Full Feruchemists. Cheaters. In reality though, I would only focus on accomplishing one thing at a time. don't try to fill all of your metalminds. Unfortunately, the game won't be long enough or you won't survive long enough to do full-taps on more than one or 2 types of powers. Synod likely has at least one elim. Hopefully they can figure out a way to catch the elim in their midst and then find out who they are in the main thread. Their synod kill shouldn't be too affected by that though, because the majority will most likely be village. Also if any of you want more WIFOM or IKYK scenarios that could play out as a result of ferring mechanics I've got some for pretty much every ferring out there! Just let me know if you want me to share! I haven't RPd yet this cycle. Maybe that can be my next post.
  10. Lopen. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy and all, but his narration tends to get on my nerves a little bit more than wayne's narration. Would you rather be taken by the shaod after Elantris fell and before it was restored or find out that it's best for everyone(human) if you betray your oaths?
  11. Ok, so first off, With those that voted, visibly, the only manipulation that occurred is from people who voted on Snip. That doesn't mean much, it only helps us in determining roles, not alignment. Which would only help us if there's another copper ferring or a full feruchemist on the village team. Please remain hidden if that is you. Or, at least role claim to someone you have proven to be village. That way they can protect you. Other than that, six people didn't vote last cycle, and three of them didn't vote the cycle before that. Most of the excuses have already been made. Rand, Bort, me, and Jon have all offered apologies, and Snip is now dead. That leaves WfY. Why did you not vote? (I know D1 you were scrutinized for voting, and now I'm scrutinizing you for not voting. You'll soon learn that anyone can be scrutinized for anything in this game. ) I don't want to discuss too much into possible roles until it really does help the village to do so, because at this time, any role is NAI. But the Elims are going to be looking for any hint available to silently determine roles, and pick off those that they find threatening to their wincon. This was just a generic vote analysis post. I will go back and look at individual voting patterns (as much as can be determined, with only two votes per person, if that) as well as analysis of individual's analyses, to see if I can find any inconsistencies.
  12. Oops, it seems as if I couldn't get on again before rollover! Sorry for the abstinence! Anyway, I was beginning to doubt my claim on Snipexe, even though I brought him up, that is why I didn't vote for him until after he spoke (then after he spoke, I didn't get on the Shard. Anyways, analysis post coming!
  13. This topic has somewhat interested me while reading Sanderson's Cosmere Books. I love the study of Religion in general, and I love seeing how Snaderson created the general facets of many of the religions in his books. Being a Mormon myself, I tend to look for similar stories, or similar precepts among religions in the Cosmere, and among his works, and while there are some, I don't believe that Brandon got his main inspiration for any of the Shards directly from LDS beliefs. There are similar ideas, like Sazed constantly searching for the true religion. Some parts of that resonate similar to Joseph Smith, however there are other parts that demonstrate that if Joseph Smith's story was part of the inspiration for Sazed's, it definitely wasn't the only inspiration. However, it seems like the general belief systems of "Where did I come from? Why am I here? and Where am I going?" are all drastically different from and unrelated to LDS tenets, for the most part.
  14. Dalinar is an Innocent Bystander The Blue Team's turn is over, and it is now the red team's turn @Kidpen
  15. @Julio, Probably! We'd have to verify from @Herowannabe to be certain if you can still join this round, and which team you'd be on. We are almost at the end of this round, and a new one about to start, but if you're still able to join this round (and I don't see why not), I think you would be put on the Blue team, because they have one less player than the red team, so while you await from a response from herowannabe, you can start looking over the clues that have been given this game.
  16. We're sorry about that Izzy. On the bright side, Tathwingden has a large supply of animal crackers. So you have plenty of crackers to continue experimenting on. On another note, I'm not sure I completely agree with anyone's suspect list. It seems like everyone is entering into TWTBAW areas, and Feels like areas, and feels off areas, etc... I am still waiting to hear from @Snipexe before I start making any decisions.
  17. I see two ways that I might personally use to avoid this issue. When most characters die, make sure you show that they are dead. (No heartbeat for a long time, beheaded, frozen, rotting, etc..) With the character that dies, then later "returns" (as an imposter) Only imply that they are dead. (rumors of found body, watched bullet fire, and character fall to ground, not breathing for a short time, etc) Then you never show that the character died, even though they did. But reader will not be completely certain. Or, make the death happen early in the book or series, before readers can determine a pattern of everyone dying, or some come back to life.
  18. I am one of the people that abstained D1, mostly due to lack of activity, but this cycle, I am going to abstain from voting for now, so that I can get better reads, without tunnelling anyone. Hopefully tomorrow, I can place a vote. There are some roles where not voting might be advantageous, so that their vote doesn't get manipulated or anything, So I am not going to push those that have so far abstained.
  19. @Kidpen No need, I'm here The Everstorm, Shattered Plains, Kholinar, and Vorinism are all blue agents.
  20. I had an idea for a character type. Some sort of anonymous eliminator. He would have the typical Elim wincon, but then also a second Elim wincon as well, where he tries to kill off a certain number of the rest of the eliminators. So he would have access to the thread, but only anonymously. For example, in a game with 5 eliminators(let's say, Rand, CadCom, Elandera, Bort, Alvron), Alvron would then have the second win con(in this example)The second win con would be "Make sure that when the Game ends, CadCom, and Bort are dead" He would then be able to be in the Elim doc as an anonymous player, whose goal is to eliminate some of the elimators, but not all. Possible names would be Contentious Eliminator, (con)fused {in a game where fused are eliminators} That's it. I can't think of any more names. I just think it would be a fun mechanic. Has something like that ever been tried before?
  21. Ohhh, that's a hard one. I'd have to go with the inquisitor under Ruin's influence. Why? Probably because when the Inquisitors were under Ruin's control, most of the time he was already in control. (Meaning in Mistborn, the plotline is overthrowing the power in control, whereas, in SA, the plotline seems to be Stopping an invasive force) Does that make sense? Would you rather be a cadmium compounder or a bendalloy compounder?(totally not a weighted question)
  22. It was shown in the write up (Bold added by me.) Anyway, The death of Itiah makes it much more difficult. I originally had suspicions on Snipexe, and Steel mostly. Now I am more doubtful. I don't trust myself to vote for either of those. Steel offered some defense of himself yesterday, But I still haven't heard from Snip, so I will remain silent for now, and review the thread some more to see if I have any further suspicions. --RP-- Business must go on. If everyone left their day jobs every time a crisis occurred, society would crumble. Unfortunately, due to the current situation in Tathwingden, Ethin had more than one duty to perform. It was the responsibility of all the citizens to find out who was the spiked among them. But at the same time, he had to make a living. So far the signs regarding SCUBA diving classes had attracted no one. Ethin stored Cadmium, so SCUBA diving was easy for him. He could go down for over an hour, as long as he had a couple days to prepare. For those who were not Cadmium feruchemists, Ethin had a way. Reeds collected from the southern dominance were malleable and hollow. However, when sprayed with an epoxy, they would stiffen up. This provided a breathing tube for others to breath with. He had tubes that varied in length, all the way from some that weren't even an arm's length, to some that were as tall as a building, thus allowing his students to dive at different depths, up to the depths of a building. None of that mattered though, if he couldn't get people to step back and relax. Somehow, Ethin had to convince them that sometimes the best way to catch an infiltrator is to make it look like you aren't actively searching for them, and instead silently observe as everyone goes about their day to day activities.
  23. Blue team's clue is Voidbringer 6 You have 48 hours from 6:11 AM Mountain time(Utah time) @Herowannabe @Rhapsody @Scion of the Mists
  24. When someone votes, it is done by changing the font color to red, and writing the person's name, most often the player name, though the character name works as well. Ark1002 To remove a vote, You change the font color to green and do the same thing Ark1002. If you're on a PC or desktop, then the color can be changed on the top bar that gives you formatting options. If you are on a mobile, you have to put in the code ['color=red] ['/color] Just remove the ' from within the brackets and putting the words between the start code and end code brackets. (I don't speak code, so I don't know if I've used the right words.)
