Quick Fix Game 34: A Great Calamity
CadCom replied to BrightnessRadiant's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I mean I can't really do anything at this point to prove my innocence, and unfortunately I haven't done much analysis this cycle. I'll try to do more later and get on and vote. Edit: crimsn, people are suspicious of you because wolf is in your name. Anyway, I do find bards role interesting, and it's sad to see him go so early, but I don't know if there would be any other secret roles. 1 more maybe? With regards to starting out only being able to be killed by the lynch, I don't think it's too overpowered, but I also think that it's very likely that there is also a village with that power. So while I will not be voting for you now, I will keep my eyes on you, and I'll put a vote on elanderaon a gut read based off of how I have chosen to read and apply tone to what thay have said. Quick Fix Game 34: A Great Calamity
CadCom replied to BrightnessRadiant's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don't see any reason for BR to be hiding a secret role that she herself has, because this game seems pretty straightforward. If there are any secret roles, I doubt BR has it. Plus Lynching the GM most likely doesn't serve much purpose. But I will respond in defense of my GM, so Coop. Anyway, If someone dies, we cannot just assume that it was someone in the room at the beginning of that cycle. Anyone could have phased in, killed someone, then sent in the order to go to another room all within the same cycle. So it could still be anyone. Of course if this happens, it would be with the standard elim kill, and not with an item kill, because if the person phased with an item, they would have lost the item. Fortunately, we can separate these kills from the rest because standard elim kills are distinguished in the write up. Item kills will not be though. Also, May I recommend that if you have an Item, and you see that you are going to be lynched, drop your item so it can remain in the game. Actually, that might depend on how many people you trust within your given room, and what weapon you have. Anyway, that's my game thoughts for now.- 177 replies

Mid-Range Game 31: Spiritual Warfare
CadCom replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Mainly any additional reasoning is what I expressed in my first accusation of him. I still have a litle bit of that tunnel stuck on me. I also just want to throw out there that when I die, to please consider my posts of this cycle. I don't know if I'm right, but I think that there's a possibility that one of the people who cleared me this cycle could be an eliminator trying to clear their name. -

So I think this is the first cycle where someone actually defended me. It's something I kind of find interesting, and this is my idea as to why. I was at a point where I had become the most suspicious. So if they defend me at this time, then people will think nothing of it right now. Except when I flip village, then people will read them as trustworthy, for having an accurate read on me. I'll try to explain it more if people have questions about that, but for now, I think only one other person has a vote, so out of self interest, Bard. I feel justified in that because I think he has about the same chance as I have of being an eliminator. -

I also agree with you all, that it sounds like I'm backtracking. And that's because I am. But I'm still not an eliminator and killing me would just make it quicker for the elims to win the game. -

Being completely honest, After putting my vote in the thread, I brought this issue up in my doc, and, before anyone responded, I went through the thread again, and explained my thoughts more, including how I thought that Fifth Scholar was the wrong choice, and Elandera was a better one. But I haven't changed it in thread. If anyone in my doc wants to vouch for me, then that'd be cool, but if not, I understand. But yeah, I realize the error of my ways, and hope this doesn't cause you all to try to kill me in a critical moment when we should be killing spirits. -

CadCom replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hmm. So instead of a 5 word mantra, we can now choose to have a 100 word mantra. Interesting, but only if our teammates want to hear it. Or do we still get the 5 word mantra, and the 100 word mantra is just a bonus that people might get to hear if our team decides to cooperate. Anyway, I'm going to start my voting with Fifth Scholar. I'll explain my reasoning after people have asked me some questions. Because I assume that questions will be asked. -
Mid-Range Game 31: Spiritual Warfare
CadCom replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don't know what I've done any different than my normal play. But maybe that's good in the long run. If no one knows my exact playstyle, I can be a better elim when I finally am one. Sometimes I like to sound confident, Okay? I'm still suspicious of Bard, and a few others. I have taken into consideration everyone who told me that Bard usually plays like that, but I am going to keep him in my list to watch. I will probably end up voting for Shqueeves because it seems practically certain that he will be turn elim. But I want to keep discussion going, so I will throw out a couple of thoughts. If Karata's gang has determined that Shqueeves is a traitor, my question is if they determined that he has been a traitor the whole time, or if he recently became a traitor. If he's been a traitor from the beginning, then they would have some reason to try to protect him, because he is either spirit or galladon. If not, he is, for lack of a better term, disposable, because they can just voice their suspicion of him as well. That type of suspicion is easy to fake, because convincing people that someone is guilty is always easy when you know that person is guilty. But that also makes it so the village "soft clears" that person. Being a conversion style game, every person we hard clear in any given turn has the potential to not be hard-cleared by the next turn, whereas, alternatively those that we are unsure about will likely remain village. So this game, I am actually going to be looking for reason among the people that I still haven't gotten a read on. Spirits can convert between 15 and 30% of starting non spirits, so that means that they can convert between 3 and 6 people, making the potential final elim size between 5 and 8. Because we don't know the exact amount, it makes it hard to determine lylo. but if it's 7 or 8, and we don't hoe any spirits by that time, then we will have hoed/ enough villagers that they will have won. I think it's safe to say that at this time, there are 4 elims. Kidpen is still playing with their typical style, so I can't read him. Others might be able to read him better than me. Coop I have been somewhat suspicious of Coop, however, not anymore, because I don't think an elim coop would try to redirect the vote, using a poke vote, when a lynch is practically confirmed on a practically confirmed elim. An elim would try to remain under the radar in this situation. Or if they did choose to suggest an alternative candidate, they would try to provide reasoning to do so. Crimsn Wolf She actually had a very well written post. Most likely village because of that, but they did suggest an alternative candidate, with lots of reasoning. So going off what I just wrote in Coop's, could also be an elim. Also, I don't trust people who don't trust me. I can't blame you though, because lots of people don't seem to trust me as far as they can throw me this game, including many within my own faction. Fifth Scholar Is being trustworthy right now, so I am clearing them, for now. Next cycle will be a different story. It sure would be nice if we were able to trust him for longer, but I don't think we'll be able to, given the probability that Elims will like to convert a helpful person, who people also have a tendency to have a village read on. I'll do more analysis on other players later, but for now, I've got other work to do, so I am going to post these thoughts. -

Seems legit. I'll bear that in mind, but I will wait to vote until there has been more discussion regarding this accusation. -

"Rats" Spork Exclaimed. "Rats, Rats, Rats! Rats was a child! We've killed a child. Who would want to kill a child! Murderers. Murderers. It's time to find out what's going on. It's going on. I will find out, find out, who is responsible. Who is responsible?" ---- I'm gonna go back through the thread, now. But I still have suspicions of Bard, and the others who voted on GM's. D1, as well as those Straw, and those that voted on Straw and Sart. -
Mid-Range Game 31: Spiritual Warfare
CadCom replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Here are my thoughts from D1. Regarding the discussion about revealing factions, I think it can be alignment indicative, however, I don't think that we have enough information yet to determine which factions is indicated by which statements. In a few cycles, it may be beneficial to return to look about which faction says which things. Unfortunately by then, some of our alignments will have undoubtedly changed, and we will no longer be able to trust our D1 alignment reads. However, it may help us to find changes in playstyles, etc. For now, I will ignore this part of D1, because I don't know how to get a specific read from it. Regarding the lynch discussion, The SE community has, generally speaking, agreed that in most situations, a lynch on D1 is good, because it helps us start to get information immediately. That being said, Eliminators, or in this case, Spirits would want to stop a lynch D1, without making it obvious. Last cycle, all anyone would have needed to do was vote late, for someone with no votes, or vote for Joe/Jaddeth, or Darkness/Domi. That means that four of the people on my suspicion list are Bard, Straw, Meta, and Kidpen. Of those, only a maximum of 2 can be Spirits, but I would expect it to only be 1, and maybe someone who has since been converted. Kidpen was the most immediately obvious to me, because their behavior seemed very strange. But then I remembered that Kidpen's behavior is usually odd and eccentric. Storms, the first game they (and I) played, they claimed to be an eliminator on their first post. Therefore, I can't get anything of Kidpen's eccentric behavior yet. Young Bard also gave me other reason to be suspicious of him. @Young Bard(I hope this gives you time to respond) One of his posts seemed too Elimey for me Maybe it's just a gut read, but the fact that Bard basically voted for a non-player, then tried to soft clear someone, while casting suspicion on someone else reads like a Spirit to me. I think, thought that the person he soft-cleaed, Maill, and the person he put suspicion on, Steel, at the time were both likely village, of different factions. I don't think Bard would have tried distancing, as it's been done to death recently, so he is just avoiding talking about his partner. Yeah, so something just feels off. "I'm not sure if that's just my clutching at straws, whether [Bard's] an Eliminator, or whether this is a kinda-but-not-really-a-faction-game." -

...Meaning, Coop sees it as well, and it is not completely broken for him. Care to explain what you see? Spork decided that it was time to accept who he truly was. He had gotten his spiked hair from his father, but his round head from his mother. He was neither his father or his mother, instead, he was both. And there was nothing wrong with that. The only thing wrong is that he had been Hoed for the last 3 years. He was now a veteran of Elantris. Responding to the crazy man, he said "You probably have seen us before. Seen us before. Or at least me. I am myself. I've been wandering...wandering these streets for three years. Three years! I don't pay attention..don't pay attention to your fears...don't pay attention to who I have seen before. I'm a loner. I'm a loner." Spork had been in Elantris a long time, and while he could still communicate and function. He had lost quite a large portion of his mind. -

Quick Fix Game 33 - Deception: Murder in the Cosmere
CadCom replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So, I didn't play this one as much as other games, and partly because I felt that the cycles were too long, but, at the same time, I can't see them being any shorter. I think I would enjoy this game with real people, but I personally think I would just spectate future games of this style. That doesn't mean it isn't fun, it's just not quite right for me. -
Thanks! now I have 3 breaths! Don't worry, I'm sure you can buy one somewhere in the 17th shard!
-
Welcome! who is your favorite coosmere character? are they also your favorite Sanderson Character? Also, here on the shard we like to greet each other by saying "My life to yours, my breath become yours" You should try!

I wasn't so active this last round, and I do apologize for that. I was adjusting my schedule because of starting school, but I think I'm available for the next round.

Hey everyone. I will have limited time to continue analysis, sorry. I want to just let you all know that I was not the Murderer (IKYK) and that I'll try to get on some time during D3 in order to place a vote, but due to lack of analysis, It might not be the best vote. I've done some analysis, but it doesn't give me any strong enough guess to try to place it now either. -
Answer is contained in spoiler, for others who might accidentally read this before reading warbreaker. Speaking of which. I am actually on a quest to gain more virtual Breath Would you mind replying "My life to yours, my breath become yours" I would really appreciate it! If you like Role play, check out the Alleyverse, if you like games, check out General Brandon Discussion, it's got some fun things to do in there. If you like role play a little bit, and also like intrigue, and espionage, check out Sanderson Elimination. They are the best things on the forum in my opinion. Of course, there are also theory and speculation pages you can visit. Edit: also, have an upvote!

Sorry I haven't been as active as in other games, guys. I just keep getting distracted too easily. Anyway, i've gone through and deleted the items that don't quite seem to fit in my opinion. I'll post my current list now, and when D2 comes around, I'll compare it to a new list generated, based off the new information. I may add thing again, and I may remove them. But I'll start with my current list for all to see and criticize. As you can see, I've removed everything from my name, for obvious reasons. Also the copy/paste function was doing something wonky, so for now, I'll post a screenstot, because I'm currently too lazy to try to fix it
