  1. Other than I was the second to vote on Itiah his first set of lynches, and was the first to agree with Alvron's idea for the coinshot to hit Itiah here Granted I didn't vote on him the second time, but I didn't like Maill's posts. Something seemed off, and personally, that same something still seems off, but, before anyone really knew that there was no coinshot, I wanted the coinshot to hit Itiah. I wouldn''t want that if I was the only other Elim. I would still want at least one team mate. Of course, there's the possibility that there was a Lurcher Elim that would simply protect him. But that would have just made him more suspicious, as well as any lurchers. Plus, me being roleless, Karn being Seeker, Maill being Smoker, and Lumgol being Tineye, then there isn't another lurcher other than Stink, who was inactive and was confirmed village. The last piece of argument I have is that if it was just us 2, It wouldn't have been smart for me to vote for him at all, and it would have been less smart for me to advocate a coinshot kill against him to finish him off. That was still early in the game, and being a lone wolf, with no conversion would have been a very bold move, one that elim!CadCom probbably wouldn't take. I will keep searching for something to convince you, but I really don't think there's that much more evidence I can present.
  2. So, what evidence do you have to suggest that Karn isn't an elim Seeker that's just been messing with us the whole time.
  3. 1. Oh, so it seems that you are correct. I realize that GM's make them vague on purpose, I just misread the tag, and thought it made it pretty obvious based on my misread. Anyway, If I were a lone Elim, I wouldn't think it was the last hour. Because I would have thought that I can find a way to weasel my way out of this. 2. Well, then Karn is an elim, because I am a roleless obligator, but not a traitor, unless I was converted without my own knowledge, and somehow managed to submit kills without my knowledge. 2. Ok, that answers that question.
  4. Will there be any need for pinch hitters in this game? If so, sign me up as a pinch hitter. If not, sign me up as a player, named Apla Yer
  5. Well, there's 4 of us left, and you've all chosen to decide I'm the elim, despite any hard evidence against me. So, I'm unlikely to change any of your minds, but I just want to say that I am not the traitor. There are 2 elims left though. because otherwise this would possibly be extended into the next day cycle, but the write up suggests that it's the last hour. Let me walk through this all with you. You lynch me, and find out I'm a roleless villager. Game over. The other villager all of a sudden regrets their decision. I don't know who you are, but you've fallen into a trap. The reason it has to be 2 elims, is because if it's just one, then You lynch me, and the game becomes 2 village to 1 elim. Elim kills one person on the night turn leaving it 1-1 for the following day turn. Each vote against each other, and the game is left to the flip of a coin, therefore not the final hour. Knowing my own alignment leaves me to vote on Karn. Yes, he may be the seeker, but the only living players that I can remember he's "confirmed" are me, and we can assume Maill, because he was confirmed either the same cycle as Itiah died, or the cycle after by a seeker. But if Karn is the seeker, then he can make the claim that he was scanned as a smoker, when, in reality, he was being seeked. @Lumgol, I urge you to change your vote to Karn with me, or If I manage to somehow be wrong about Mail, then I urge you to change your vote to Karn. The request that you asked me to pass back up the line? I told you in our PM that I did not pass it back up the line, because the next person in the chain was Maill, and I found it useless to pass it back up the line. right past him, So that is another reason to confirm Maill as his accomplice. The fact that Maill confirmed that he did just send the request back up the line suggests that he's lying unless you reached out to maill to have him pass it up the line. Edit: Yes, I am roleless, but unless I was never informed of being converted, I am not a traitor. I know that there is no way for me to use my role to "wiggle out of this" but perhaps, I can use sound logic and reasoning, and catch you in your slip-ups, traitor.
  6. Um, I'm not elim. At this point I would suspect that only one of the remaining living players elim, because otherwise, with an elim kill tonight, we would enter a tie between elims and villagers, but I suppose it is possible that the elims don't submit a kill tonight, extending the game to tomorrow, if there are two. Which would mean we find out when this cycle ends if we've lost or not. If I survive until tomorrow, or if the game is extended that long, I'll do what I can to figure it out at that time. Edit: It is possible that the game is extended tomorrow, with 2 elims, and 2 villagers, a tie vote 2-2, and the random lynch kills a villager too, I guess, right?
  7. So the chain message I got, I got from Maill. I also got something about cinnamon the day before cinnamon was mentioned in the write up. But i'm not really sure what significance it has.
  8. Hi. I'm so sorry. I'm back, but a busy weekend made me completely forget about SE. I'll try to reactivate myself, but unfortunately, I do believe that this will be my last game where I attempt full activity for a while. My schedule is just getting too busy. I'll go and read through what I can real quick.
  9. I mean fair enough, but a few games ago, I did analyses where I said to the effect of "I know my own alignment, so I will leave that out, and someone told me that they thought that I should also provide further information about myself. I can't remember exactly what they said, but the message that stuck with me was to do analysis of myself as if I wasn't myself, so others could see how I analyzed myself.
  10. So, with only 6 votes, and three candidates at any point throughout the cycle, if an eliminator did vote, that vote would most likely be random. But on the off chance it wasn't at random, It would be best to look at response votes. Also, there's not much more analysis that I think can be done, so without further ado: So, I'm going to perform an analysis assuming that each candidate is elim. Assuming Araris is Elim, Fura voted for an alternate lynch option, So did Araris themself. Later, Fura changed their vote so as to secure a lynch past typical vote manipulation. Later Maill voted for the same person Araris voted for, tying the lynch. Then CadCom followed suit, and then as mentioned Fura secured the lynch against him. Assuming Araris is an elim, then my order of most to least suspicious accomplices of the remaining 5 would be 1. Fura, 2. Maill, 3. CadCom, 4. Jondesu, 5. Amanuensis Assuming Karn is elim, The first response was a vote against Araris by Jon, followed by Rath by araris, making it so there were 2 other options on the table. Actually, after that was the entire bandwagon on Rath. Maill, me and Fura. But fura was also the first to vote on Karn in the first place. Assuming Karn is an elim, my order from most to least suspicious accomplices would be 1. Araris, 2. Maill, 3. Jon, 4. CadCom, 5. Aman 6. Fura We know Rath was village, so there's no purpose in performing an analysis of his elim status. If we totalled the numbers from the two, and ordered them from lowest to highest, we would get Araris(1+x) Maill (4) Fura (6) CadCom (7) Jondesu (7) Aman (10) It's possible that this entire analysis was a complete waste, because it's possible that Araris and Karn ar both village, and in that case, if any elims voted, it could have been anywhere.
  11. True. For some reason, I was telling myself that Itiah was killed this cycle. I will also place my vote on Rath now, as it appears that should break a tie. Anyway, I still don't trust the fact that someone has said that someone was scanned as village means they're village, it's too easy for Elims to fake. If I were an eliminator, and I knew the role of my fellow eliminator, I would be able to create a PM that said "so and so has been scanned and is a village thug." Even if I wasn't known to be a seeker, I could add the prefix "You are the last person in a chain. Please pass this information on to the thread. Whoever was the first to do that, it was a good idea, but it's also very easy for an eliminator to hide behind.
  12. It turns out I have less time available than I thought I would have. My gut has told me something has been off about Maill, but because I can't substantiate it, and it sounds like no one else has been able to either, except that it appears that he did not support the Itiah lynch. I don't think Elim!Mail would do that when it's almost certain that another elim would be lynched So, despite the off feeling from their posts. I'm inclined to let him go for now. Now, tie lynches aren't good for the village, since a random player will be lynched in that case, so I don't want to make the lynch tied, therefore, my vote will not be for Karn, I was about to vote for Rath, based off of other, less strong gut feelings but then got Ninja'd by Araris. And since I don't have much in the way of evidence, I don't want to place my vote there yet either, because that will cause a tied lynch. I will wait for a couple of hours, and see if I manage to have time to do some real analysis, and then if not, I'll follow my gut, and vote for Rath.
  13. So, I was going to vote for Maill, because, like others have expressed, his posts have just felt off to me this game. But while reading over today's posts, prior to analyzing all of Maill's posts, I saw this post, where Aman mentions that Maill was confirmed to be a Smoker. Can anyone else confirm this? Because if so, that would essentially clear Maill, considering that some believe that no conversion happened last night, and also considering that Mail was scanned. It's not a 100% case, because it always is possible that Itiah had one last piece of Atium and gave it to him. But, I'm willing to soft clear him if someone else can confirm this. Also, since we still have a seeker, as long as we can confirm that the messages we are receiving are actually coming from seekers, we should be able to hard clear any further reads. Also, speaking of this, post by Aman, It has caused me to want to re-analyze Aman's posts and Lumgol's posts, to see if anything is fishy in either of theirs Considering that There are still traitors out there, how is it safe for seekers to set up networks of trusted players? I hope to get a real analysis post put up before too long, but I'll see if that actually comes to fruition.
  14. Overall, I really loved this game! I really enjoyed the role I was given. I would do a long post, but due to lack of time, I will just put basic thoughts down for now. First of all, I want to thank my fellow Darkfriends. It was a good game, and working with all of you was really fun. I also want to apologize to everyone. I was much more inactive the first couple cycles than I was expecting to be, which made it hard to get an early read on me. Next, Thank you to my fellow fielders. The discussion in that doc was very fun to keep up on. Sorry to Ark for sending in an order to kill you, literally the night after you discussed your frustration for everyone always lynching you. I truly felt bad, especially since I knew you weren’t an elim. Your normal playstyle is different than what most people expect to be village, but since we know that that is your normal playstyle, we shouldn’t just constantly assume you to be elim. Also Randuir, thank you for not pushing your list of possible false-fielders to the thread. I was afraid that you had me pinned when you put my name down as one of them, and I don’t know how the thread would have taken it. I enjoyed our little banter back and forth. With regards to balance, I tend to agree with the ideas mentioned in the spec doc, at least to some degree. If this game were to be run again, I would be cautious of too much change in favor of the villagers, but I believe some change would be needed. My role alone, I don’t believe was too powerful, in and of itself, but because we happened to kill one emonds fielder N1, by pure chance, and the other two essentially claimed to everyone that they were members, of the doc, it made my position a bit overpowered, in my opinion. One suggestion that I thought of is making my character hardy until like n4 or something, just so he has a good enough chance of surviving long enough to actually use his power, then removing the hardiness from him, so he is more succeptible to the village. This would also fix the other issue that some people brought up that 6 elim lives may have been too many. I can no longer use the excuse that I’m always village, which is a bittersweet parting, because I really did enjoy using that claim, but I have also wanted to have an elim role for some time now. Lastly, Thank you to Fifth, and Elandera for GMing this game. Especially to fifth for creating these complex rules. I enjoy complexity, so this was very fun.
  15. I'm glad we caught the seer! I have a few suspicions about other possible traitors, but I'll have to provide the majority of my analysis on Monday, which, according to my calculations should be the last half of the next day, so I should be fine.
  16. So, aman and Mark both would have lost a life, and you could have claimed that you had attacked whoever you wanted at first, just to gauge people's reactions, which means you would have caught Aman, and had potential to catch more. Fortunately, we still had a total of 5 lives among the elims. Either way, this was a fun game. Thank you fifth, and elandera for running this game. Once the official write up comes, I'll provide more feedback on the game. And Rand, I would have my Koloss heads with Honey Mustard. Every time. I love honey mustard! **insert reference to Edmonds fielder doc**
  17. The two arguments that have made the most sense to me as this game has progressed is that of Jondesu's inactivity which just so happened to be at the same that we aren't sure if the traitor performed any actions, or was active, and The one against Mailliw. I understand everything that he's saying regarding the IKYK with the seer. "I've revealed, so the seer won't want me, because smoker is a role that they would normally want, but because I've revealed, and everyone knows that, they'll try to kill me." But the thing is, that also gives him the opportunity to argue that IKYK, which seems like it has the possibility to be dangerous to the village. Don't get me wrong, I love the move, and think it was a great way to mix up the normal routine of SE, but in this case, my gut tells me that he's on the wrong side of this IKYK.
  18. Just a formal notification that I have changed my name back to it's original name, Cadmium Compounder, as opposed to Ookla the Duck.
  19. @Fifth Scholar Just a formal notification that I have changed my name back to it's original name, Cadmium Compounder, as opposed to Ookla the Duck.
  20. Well... dang it. I had started writing a post in which I was going to vote for Fura before the cycle ended, but then the cycle ended, and I hadn't finished the post. So we now have a couple of things that are new. Rand can finally do alignment attacks, so hopefully he can hit elims. But even if he misses, it doesnt hurt the village. I suppose that would be a good way to check Fura's alignment. If Rand sees this, he would possibly he a good person to attack. Or maybe aman or mark. Any one have other suggestions that they believe are the among the most important to scan? I've got a couple of other thoughts, but they're going to have to wait until tomorrow, because I'm running out of time and on mobile. Edit. Ninjad by Fura. Second edit. The problem with the rand attack is that rand shouldn't role claim in my opinion. So we would all have to just assume that he did attack the person that was discussed in thread if no one else died.
  21. ^^^^That^^^^ I agree with everything Alvron has to say.
  22. I mean, I really don't understand where your suspicion is coming from. You said that you do see the reasoning behind the lynch, but that you don't agree enough to join it. Then you proceed to vote on me, saying you're more suspicious of me because of the reasoning that you somewhat agree with? I'm not particularly averse to the lynch on Jondesu, I just think that the lynch on Guacless is more beneficial because Guacless has more information in his posts we can analyze as opposed to just analyzing based off of activity timeframes. On another note, I am beginning to become suspicious of Mailliw, which If I leave to see tomorrow, I would love to explain in more detail, after doing actual analysis, as opposed to just my gut read on him.
  23. Ookla the Libre (Gancho). Anyway, I've noticed a couple good points that others have brought up that resonate with me. 1. Chaos and lots of random votes is good for Elims, Which is what Guacless seems to have done( as Libre pointed out), and 2. people believe that Jondesu's activity matches what an elim would have done. I agree with the Ookla the Guacless (ITIAH) reasoning though. Perhaps it would be fair for me to see if there are others who did what Guacless did, but I am too lazy, and not really up to it. Plus this puts 2 votes on 2 people, therefore not dooming one, but at the same time, not causing everything to be completely chaotic. (I hope)
  24. So I've looked at Mark, Aman, Fura, and Mr. Doctor Mark: Aman seems (half) convinced that Mark is an elim. He does say "And thus I'm torn" reflecting his uncertainty in this. But before Mark's posts from last cycle, Aman was reading Mark as Hard elim. Mark's posts themselves don't really tip me off the same way that they've tipped Aman off though. I see them as relatively self-explanatory, the only thing that really confuses me is that he would claim to be Elim the Fal Dara Warrior doc. But I mean, that doesn't sound like something that an Elim would do, if their identity wasn't hidden. I can't get a solid read on him, so I'll put him on Neutral Aman: Mark said that he was leaning soft village on Aman, because it just looks like Aman was misled by Mark's false-claim. His own analyses to me seem to be relatively well thought out, but sometimes seem rushed, (Apparently he is travelling though, so I understand that) Plus, rushed makes it look more like they aren't being as careful as an elim would try to be. I'm reading as ever so slightly village, just because Mark reads him like this. Other thant that I don't have much of my own read. Mr. Doctor: I know how statistics work, and I know that results from one test do not necessarily affect the results from the next test, so it is possible that Mr. Doctor is Elim, but I have a hard time believing that because he already has been elim twice since he began playing, which I don't believe was all that long ago. But knowing that he could be elim, because the results from this RNG are not necessarily the same as the results from any other assignment from other games, I will look and I see that many others have suspicions against him. I think more than anything, people are afraid of him, because they've been duped by him twice, I don't think anything in his posts is particularly telling, and I tend to agree with his defense posts. I'm leaning village on him. Fura: So I was thinking, I'm not sure how crazy my idea is so I want to put it past you all before acting on it. So Fura hasn't been wanting to defend the rings at all, saying that it would make it take longer to get to the eye. While the math seemed to suggest that, it also seemed good, and logical. But, at the same time, The longer it takes to get to the eye, the longer before Rand can start scan-killing people who are not village, and clear village. It makes it so that Rand would only have a few attacks before the end of the game, or in other words, making the game get cut close for the village. Does that make sense? It makes me inclined to lean elim on Fura, despite having leaned village up until I thought about it. But I'm not sure how crazy that idea sounds, so before I vote, I'd like some additional feedback.
  25. I can do better. I have exactly zero leads as to who the traitor(s) are. But, I would like to hear more from @Ookla the Libre He does frequent the Shard, but hasn't stopped by SE in the last little bit. Therefore, I expect him to not have many comments regarding the game, but a quick read-through and thoughts on the read-through would be good. Perhaps your unique experiences are enough to help catch someone that the rest of us overlooked Ookla the Libre(gancho) Consider this the equivalent of a D1 poke vote, except somewhat late in the cycle.
