Ooh, another Rithmatist game. I'll sign up, bringing back Tahree Fields from my last Rithmatist game. This time, graduated from school and out fighting the wild chalklings of Nebrask!
-
Sounds good. I'm at work, so have only been able to skim at the moment. But I'll be posting some analysis with a vote by the end of the cycle.

I might if I knew what exactly I was defending against. I can say though, that first post was purely RP, not meant to have any relevance on my own alignment.

Viruses or anti-virus? I'm sure there are plenty of both out there. In the meantime, avoid clicking unnecessary links. Anything in particular raising your spambot alarms?

Stacy stared, confused by all the talk. It seemed... weird. Sheep? Shards? Elephants? What was all that talk? She'd simply been recruited to help get rid of spambots. It seemed to her half of the people posting were just posting spam. At least it wasn't SPAM. That stuff was nasty. Though spam could get nasty too. Is anyone really dumb enough to fall for links to miracle diets and meeting single people? There must be, or it wouldn't exist. She realized she may end up posting spam too. How on earth were they supposed to find the real spam bots? Stacy definitely wasn't one. At least she didn't think she was. But.. what if she was some kind of super intelligent AI that had become semi-sentient? Wouldn't all her posts then be spam posted by a bot?

I like that no votes are needed for a lynch. This games sounds awesome. I'll join as Stacy, definitely not a spam bot.

Thanks to Kidpen for running the game! I loved the passing medallion mechanic! I think it gave everyone a chance to have a fun ability at least once in the game. Though I realize that was also a ton of work on the GM, especially without a co-GM. Great job! Despite the hiccups, it still worked out well in the end. I think there were a few under-utilized ones, such as cadmium. I think a longer time would be helpful for making that more used and a little more dangerous to hammer with. In general, it's definitely something I'd like to see more of in future games. Congratulations to the elim team. I will say, however, the general level of activity among the elims did make it a bit more difficult to find them. But life happens. It was still a great game!

Oh, I hadn't thought of that. I lean towards it protecting just the real Alcatraz. However, I'll gladly take balance suggestions for this. It would show most players as Oculator, but anyone with a specific name attached (Dark Oculator, Smedry's, Bastille, Scrivner's) would be shown. Again, I can change this for balance. And yes, I'll specify which scans work for disguising. EDIT: I was, however, thinking the Shaper's Lense would be the only real scan that disguising would change. If given to elims, it would assist them in hiding. And since they only look like the other player, they're still taking their own actions and using their own lenses.
-
I could make it similar to the Voidstormer's lense, in that once it is used, it is dropped. That way one person can only use it once. Also making it a specific action would be good. No, it either protects the disguised in the even the disguised is attacked, or it will kill both if the person the disguised looks like is attacked. In a thematic sense, the elims will go after one target, but since there are two of that target, the kill both just to be sure. I could probably make the Shaper's lense reveal the role rather than alignment. That way some elims would only register as Oculators. I like this idea. I'm thinking maybe the Order of the Shattered Lens addition would be very good in response to Aydee's and Alcatraz's ability. I also like the Scrivener's Bones suggestion, but Aydee's ability does have the potential to assign those extra lenses to the elims as well. EDIT: What do you think about making the disguise also make the person appear as their target in scans?

I'm currently working on an Alcatraz themed game. I've been able to come up with good abilities for everyone/village roles, but I'm struggling to give balance toward the elims as well. Here's what I have so far. I'd like to get some input on possible roles/abilities for the elim team. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kYHoUiGam9IvSTRulJupBD2tb-5LO4mrN6L6W3WTUOE/edit?usp=sharing General comments about balance are also very appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: I forgot about Alivened, so I added a mechanic for that to the Elims.

Quick Fix Game 36/Anonymous Game 5: Dream Thieves

I was in the abyss. I wasn't expecting to die, so I never took a hopping action, so I was stranded the last turn. It was kind of frustrating to just have to watch. -
Quick Fix Game 36/Anonymous Game 5: Dream Thieves

I'm actually kind of surprised we ended with nine items after I (Dingo) was annihilated. Maybe me holding the majority of our items was not a good plan. Congrats to team 2 and apparently Sart. Thanks to @GreenRover for being so active and really pushing for teamwork/communication. You did great! Sorry I fell through on things. I turned out to be a bit more busy than expected when I joined the game. @Mailliw73, who did you step in for? Edit: Ninja'd by Steel. That makes sense. And that's why you were confused by bananas. -
Alright, it appears someone used cadmium which made Devotary's vote not count. Who used zinc?

As I've said, my suspicion of Roadwalker is not caused by to the Gold scan. There were a lot of posts of his I linked to in my analysis that all gave me a bad impression. Comparatively, Ark had one, if I remember correctly. Yes, the vote manipulation last round was suspect, and I'd be okay if Ark does, but he's not my top suspicion.

Yeah, I probably should have filtered that out. I don't think I had compared it yet to the Gold list. Xino was also on my list for being the only one we know of who had 3 medallions D1. However, that's not inherently elim, just a bit odd. Worth noting.

I agree with Drought here, though I do appreciate anyone who takes the time to read and consider that sizeable post. Anything in particular that stood out? Vote count is at: Roadwalker (2): Elandera, Mailliw Ark (1): Fura Xino (1): Snipexe This is still within Zinc range, especially if I'm right about there possibly being another Brass out there (which I'm doubting myself more as the turn goes on), or if a Zinc holder also has Duralumin (would be odd two turns in a row).

Thanks for the claim. There was just that one other post that seemed like it might be an elim giving an excuse early to not claim pewter, which others agreed were likely given to elims D1. You weren't high on my suspect list (the list was in no particular order). But I kept you there because you were one of the other people who had a possible vote on you when a lot of vote manip went onto Shane. I plan to do more analysis before I act on my suspicion of you.

Sorry, what I mean is this: Say there were two Brass medallions. N2 to D3 rollover, Shane got one. That was counted in the gold scan. But the second medallion was with Person A on N2, and RNG assigned it back to Person A for D3. That means the brass medallion never actually passed to a different player. So the gold scan, which reveals which medallions were passed would not have included the second brass. It's not entirely impossible, since we know of several people who've gotten at least the same kind of medallion two turns in a row. It's part of why I'd like a tin scan today on brass, just to see if there's any out there, or I'm just going a bit crazy with theories. Also, my reason for suspecting Roadwalker isn't inherently tied to the results of the gold scan, but my suspicion of him makes me question the scan results.

I knew you had claimed one iron previously, but I wanted to make sure that was all you had. There are a lot of medallions unaccounted for in the claiming. That's interesting what you say about brass. It does make me think that if Roadwalker was not lying, he was either mistaken or the brass just didn't move. That would explain why it wasn't included in the gold scan. Also, if that's the case, it does make the case less likely for Shane to have been targeted by vote manipulation for the purpose of killing him specifically for his medallions, and more likely that it was an attempt to save Ark. Another brass out there also means Shane was not likely the one to use his medallion.

Alright, be prepared for an onslaught. I have spent several hours both analyzing posts and medallion claims. I'll start with medallions. (Spoilered for length, because this will be another incredibly long post.) Now on to player analysis. I link to the quotes, then add my two cents. Some of it may be a bit rambly. I apologize now. @Droughtbringer @Devotary of Spontaneity @Mailliw73/Eternum @Arky-boi @Roadwalker @Furamirionind @xinoehp512 As you can see, not everyone is tagged. These were just posts by people that stood out to me the most. Hence, the reason for my top suspicions at the moment are: Roadwalker Droughtbringer Mailliw/Eternum Xinoehp Ark Other random thoughts I had going through posts: About last turn's voting: If anyone has tin, I'd like them to do a scan on brass, just to confirm there really is only one, which has been destroyed. Shane using brass on Devotary makes absolutely no sense. Since Roadwalker is one of my top suspicions, I'm not sure how much I trust that gold scan. I'm also starting to believe the sudden shift toward Shane was to get rid of his medallions (brass, probably) which he claimed in the last 15 minutes. If there truly has only been one brass, that meant the elim team didn't feel it should be in the game. Also, to hopefully get the voting going since it's been a very sad day in regards to content, I'll place my vote on Roadwalker. EDIT: I didn't want to double post, and it's been less than 30 minutes. I had the thought, what if the gold scan is right, but a second brass just happened to go to the same person by happenstance. That wouldn't show in the gold scan, since that only shows how many were passed.

Not really that I can think of at the moment. I'm hoping tomorrow to update my medallion claim list, and share my results before the end of voting. If you have tin, a scan on something like zinc or brass wouldn't be a bad idea so we have an idea ahead of time if someone manipulates voting.

Yes, that was resolved last day cycle with Lumgol's lynch. It turned out she was a villager with some misguided attempts to make sure no one else was lying about having aluminum by claiming (to ensure someone scanned). EDIT: Sorry, I want to avoid double posting. @Mailliw73, unfortunately, if a Tin scans tonight, they see who the Duralumin was passed to, not who has it now. Day scans are what allow them to see who's holding it now.

I had a Zinc last cycle. As far as I've been able to track, there's only one. However, if you didn't use yours, there are at least 3, if my math is right.
