  1. I fully understand being suspicious of me because of my seemingly sporadic roleclaims. This turn as Roleplayer, I've been given Soother from LG1. My plan is to announce in the thread which vote I plan to remove as a bit of proof that I'm not lying about my roles. It's been a bucket of confusion and fun with all this switching. Provided my Roleplayer role doesn't give me something more important, I'll handle this conversion tonight. Yeah, potentially sacrificing yourself for the Joe faction doesn't seem like the greatest idea. But I'm still concerned about your overall alignment.
  2. Oh, and before I forget. Araris Fura, because the Snipexe lynch seems in a good place and I'm curious about what happens when I vote on Fura. It's not because I think she's a spammer. EDIT: Thanks Lum. If everyone converts a different person tonight, everyone left alive will be Joe. Except maybe Steel. That's going to be complicated if he's immune to all actions. Obviously, that's not super reasonable, because some people have important actions to take at night, but it's reasonable to think we'll get everyone to Joe status before the game ends without threatening the village goal.

I'm trying to keep track of that as we go. Also, I realized we might not be able to completely clear Steel. I'm getting more concerned that he picked up the Vodiyehi role after being converted, though I have no real reason outside of sheer paranoia.
  4. It is a shame I wasn't getting more reads. I tried to cast a wider net, but all I kept getting was hunches about Fifth. Looking back on it, I've backed off some of my suspicion because I realize I was kind of tunneling (sorry Fifth!). At this point, I do believe the OG spammer is inactive. Most of the active players I've been able to find reasons why they are cleared. As for the convert, I have absolutely no clue. No one who's been able to prove some kind of village role seemed to switch styles at all. I've played a few conversion games, but few where I have lived long enough to wonder about one being out there, so I'm not exactly experienced at finding those differences. You do make an interesting point about Fura. I'll try to look closer at her posts in the next day or two. Vote Count (traditional account names): Araris (3): Elandera, Bard, CadCom Snipexe (3): Araris, Aman, Rand Rand (1): Fura
  5. I can confirm he claimed this to me N1. That's why my hair-brained theory regarding Itiah had to do with my question about vote blocking. I agree with this. The day Alvron died would have been the perfect time for some vote manipulation if the spammers had any.
  6. I'm very concerned that it seems two nights in a row the spammers haven't appeared to submit a kill. Either they're biding their time, hoping we'll kill each other off while they appear inactive, or they actually are inactive. However, it could also be them setting up an IKYK kind of situation, where they are killing off the top suspicions to make it appear like they are misplaced village kills. I'm going to put a vote on Araris for being one of the least active, but likely to be a convert players thus far.
  7. I didn't convert N2, but scanned Rath instead. That's when I got the return of Metacognition, Joe and village elim. My original role was Disciple of Herowannabe. Joe revoked that role when Jon died, and I was given two options for a new role. The one I chose actually turned out to be Fifth's claim, which is why I initially cleared him when he roleclaimed. I knew the role name (since it was given to me), and how he described the mechanics matched what I'd been told by Joe. I had claimed to Mailliw on D1, proving my role by telling him who he had PMs with. I was the DoH claimant, and misunderstood when he'd said in thread that Jon was the third Disciple role he'd heard of up to that point. I was concerned initially (because I misunderstood) that it meant three DoH claimants including Jon, but it turned out the third was likely Rae as Disciple of Gamma (who through PMs, I knew they'd been talking and claiming to each other). That's why I haven't returned to the problem of three DoH claims. There just wasn't any. When my DoH role was revoked, Joe explained it to those who I had claimed to so they didn't immediately turn on me for 'lying'. That's why Mailliw had that cryptic post saying he still trusted the claim. My new role is Roleplayer (I know, not helpful because Fifth's already claimed that). The first night I received something from the new role (N2) I got Blue Drafter from QF18. That's the ability I used to scan Rath. N3, I received Kindness from MR22. It didn't matter, since I didn't get lynched. I have a new ability this turn, though I'd rather not say until the day turn when I can use it to help prove things if needed. And about the vote on Alv. I'm not entirely sure why people think it was suspect. Until I voted, Alv wasn't even up for the lynch as part of his gambit. I made sure to put him there so the stakes increased. If I were a spammer, along with Alv, I could easily have voted on someone else to make it a 4-way tie that didn't include him. He had a 25% chance of having his gambit pay off (25% chance to guess the correct person to die). But with him in the running, the chances of making it through actually decreased, since not only did he have a 75% chance of not guessing the right target and thus being lynched the next day, but a 25% chance to die right away. No spammer ability (aside from a possible convert ability) would have saved him from the lynch.
  8. @Seventh Saint, I apologize if my post seems to cherry-pick. It was not my intention. The posts I gathered were the ones that included something suspicious, and my notes were why I thought it was suspicious. I also pull posts from every player that seems off, which, unfortunately, only included posts from Kidpen. No one else was setting off my elim alarm bells. It's also why my vote is bouncing around more than a toddler on caffeine. There's no one who seems worth a vote at this point. There's just been something in the back of my mind telling me that you're deceiving us all. However, you make very good counter arguments. Most of what I thought was suspicious could easily be confused villager. So, Fifth. As for what role I think is left among the Spammers, I have bounced a few times. It's all speculation, and I don't think Beirst is outside the realm of possibilities (consider me suggesting prior to learning about redirects that Drought might be Beirst), though I did think Vashikaran was more likely. With the Snipexe redirect, at this point it seems Sooke might actually be the one left. I'm leaving each possibility open in my mind, just in case someone's actions fit a particular role. I don't want to dismiss possibilities and have it turn on me later. Since I should probably vote, Kidpen. I'm skeptical at best about your role claim, and feel you could easily be one of the starting elims. Vote Count (traditional usernames): Bard (1) - Fura Drought (4) - Bard, Lum, Fifth, Aman Walin (1) - Randuir Kidpen (1) - Elandera
  9. He didn't outright say to lynch an inactive, but it was his first suggestion that the spammers might be inactive. It seemed a subtle point in a direction he wanted. Also, why not claim the kill? There have been enough kills going around from all sources, it would be fairly easy to claim it as a village kill and have people accept it. As for why Rath, it's possible the spammers were hoping the Joe role would appear more nefarious. As far as I can tell, there's not a single spammer among those converted, so they wouldn't know what the role actually contained. If it wasn't nefarious, then whoever killed Rath could claim it was just an attempt to get the truth. And as for claiming, we've also had a ton of scans out there. Claiming it for one purpose before someone who might have scanned you calls you out for lying about your role that cycle makes sense, and eases people's suspicion. I recognize all of this is a bit of a stretch, but in my reads, I couldn't identify anyone else who also seemed suspicious.
  10. I apologize for the double post, but it's been three hours and I finally finished my analysis. I skimmed over most of last night once it turned to talk about the Joe group. My top suspicions at the moment include Fifth as convert and Kidpen as possible OG. I did a quick read through of D1, but focused starting on N1, because that's when the first possibility of a conversion entered into play. Since it was Alvron who turned out to be Babaji, I kind of threw out the general assumptions about who might have been converted. Also, since two of their teammates were big targets early, it's not without reason to think they'd convert early. The notes are rough, and mostly my own musings as I read through. I tried not to focus on Fifth, but there was a lot that just stood out to me about his posts. Fifth: As for Fifth claiming the Rath kill, aside from what I said earlier, it could also have been Spammers hoping the Joe faction would show up as some kind of neutral, which would allow them to push for removing it and getting the focus off themselves. Kidpen: My suspicion of Fifth is much higher than my suspicion on Kidpen, hence the vote. Also, I'd like to keep an eye on both Snipexe and Xino, partially due to low content and past history of such while elims, and partially because of their quick votes on CadCom during D3. I'm a little less suspicious of Drought. I realized that though his claim of Code Monkey isn't completely with what we've seen for names so far, it's also not impossible considering Multi-Boxer. Also, Alvron had claimed something plausible, so if Drought were elim, I'm sure they'd have been able to come up with something more along those lines. Also Fifth, I finally see what you mean by weird voting on D2 at least. That can entirely be blamed on my crazy busy weekend, and not being able to dedicate enough time to the game. I've always been of the mindset I'd rather vote than not. My vote switch was simply because I finally had time to review earlier arguments, combined with arguments presented by Adavantos. We'd also seen several different vote manipulations, and I wanted to avoid that possibility, just in case. Overall reads:
  11. The other actions would include Metabard's action, and the hypothetical Crusader action. That's true, you were targeted by manipulation, so you wouldn't be Beirst. However, I'm working on another theory currently, so standby while I wait for an answer from the GMs. Depending on the answer, I might remove my vote.
  12. Alright, so with Metabard's new info, Drought. I'm still not fully trusting of you, but you no longer look like Beirst. I targeted CadCom last night, and since it seems he was converted, Snipexe was targeted specifically with a redirect for his action. I find it unusual that Xino would redirect an unknown action onto himself, so either there's another redirect or Xino was affected by SookeSiled who targeted Snipexe. It's quite possible that Drought is telling the truth, and Fura targeted Itiah which is why it was redirected to Drought. I also don't blame him for using swapping actions against himself, since we were openly calling for him to be killed last night. I now have questions about Itiah, and why all these actions are failing against them. (Yes, I know it could be because of particularities of actions, but it's also possible that Drought was targeted by the Crusader, the action was redirected to Beirst!Itiah, who lived.) So for now, Itiah. EDIT: I'm doing an analysis now, but have a question. @A Joe in the Bush, would Vashikaran's roleblock block a vote?
  13. My weekend has been busier than I had hoped, and thus haven't quite had the time yet to sit and do a player analysis. I might have some time tonight, but it depends on how things go at work. For now, I have a few brief thoughts. I'm not sure how I feel about this. (Excuse me while I put on my tin-foil hat.) I accept everyone was super suspicious of the Joe faction, and thus killing one of us makes sense, especially Rath, because learning their roles and alignment helped verify my own scan. What I can't let go is that Rath openly said they had a scan they planned to use. I very well might be tunneling on Fifth, but I feel like it could just be claiming the kill on Rath as wanting to verify the Joe claims, while actually attempting to prevent another scan. It would also give the spammers the added benefit of attempting to cast suspicion toward the less active players. As I've said, and hopefully will actually get to soon, I'm going to do some analysis hopefully tonight, but if not by tomorrow night at the latest, before rollover.
  14. In that case, I might be able to make time. But I'd prefer not to if anyone were more available to play.
  15. Why exactly would we be talking so openly about what we do if we were anything but village aligned? Also, if we were spammers, why would we not just talk about it in our doc? I honestly don't see how our focus on the 'faction' (which is more of a role than faction) is helping win the game. Are we really ready to miss a chance to lynch a spammer for this? What poor lynch position? I made sure Alvron was in the running of potential targets for his supposed claim. Yes, my decision to switch to Devotary could be seen as distancing, but it was an honest effort to avoid vote manipulation from messing with our decided target. And I've already explained the Roadwalker thing. Sorry if I seem super exasperated. I just don't see how any of this is helping solve the game.
  16. It serves literally no purpose, and really can't be classified as a faction. We can't communicate other than in the thread, just like everyone else. We all still retain our alignment, but just have the difficulty of needing to convert everyone in order to win alongside the village. As long as the people converted are villagers, we all still want a village win, with the stipulation that we are able to convert everyone first. I'm of the mentality that if I technically lose, but village wins, that's good enough for me. However, suggesting we should hunt down a third faction that has not caused any harm seems a bit extreme. And a bit like a spammer attempting to get people off their trail.
  17. @Mailliw772, yes, that's my planned conversion target. We're not called Trolls, but it is just a very troll-ish role. I blame Joe. Also, it's not really a lot of power. There's just one ability, which we've been openly talking about now.
  18. Thanks for thinking of me. Unfortunately, I also won't likely have time needed to participate in this, especially if it lasts three months.
  19. Our possibilities for remaining spammers include: SookeSiled Beirst1928 Vashikaran Convert Of these, with Meta being roleblocked, we most likely have Vashikaran and a Convert. I don't think there's been any evidence of a Sooke, and Beirst is... well, I don't know. I doubt Beirst is in the game. With three four dead spammers, I'd estimate up to 3 2 left (two one OG and a convert). That would have put the original team at 5. If that's the case, I'd expect Sooke to be the final role. If there's only one OG and a convert, then I'd expect that person to be Beirst. Either way, if someone carries out an attack that is unsuccessful, it's a good place to look for a lynch candidate. My top suspects, who hopefully I'll be able to analyse after getting sleep today (I think today? I don't know, my days are confused), would include Drought and Snipexe. I'm getting a bad vibe off Fifth again, though. I want to take a look at his posts a little closer to see if there's been a shift that might reflect convert. Other top candidates for convert I would consider to be Ada and Arand. If anyone has a scan, they might be worthwhile targets.
  20. Oh, and @Mailliw772, I'm going with the conversion you requested of me. Finally. From what I can tell, it was completely random. Alvron was lying about their ability, and so him being among those up for the lynch ended with him being selected by RNG. CadCom's claimed ability wouldn't come into play in that case.
  21. Fura's right. Unfortunately, since it was a one-time conversion, Alvron likely converted someone already. And that person might be someone we've cleared. We can't clear on role alone. I admire the risk though! And that's probably also why he tried to get it to a 5-way tie, further distancing himself from RNG possibilities. But the Gods of Luck and Chance were not on his side tonight. It's also impressive that we've gone 3 for 3. Good job everyone!
